During the month of April, Eugene Public Library celebrates Días de los Niños y Libros, a series of free bilingual events celebrating children and books. Activities include live music and dance, hands-on arts activities and free books for kids to take home.


Friday, April 5: All-ages Salsa Dance Party

  • When: 6-8 p.m.
  • Where: Downtown Library 
  • What: The 11-piece Orquesta Descarga 54 will perform live at an all-ages Salsa Dance Party. The evening will also feature crafts and face painting for children.


Every Sunday in April: Bilingual Family Fun Activities

  • When: 2 p.m.
  • Where: Downtown Library
  • What: Bilingual family fun activities


Tuesday, April 30: Family Night

  • When: 6:30 p.m.
  • Where: Bethel Branch of the Eugene Public Library
  • What: Join El Taller de Son Jarocho for a Family Night with music and dancing of Southern Veracruz, Mexico.
