[ARCHIVED] City of Eugene Thanksgiving Holiday Closures

City of Eugene services and facilities have different schedules for holiday hours. 

Administrative Offices

All City of Eugene administrative offices will be closed on Thursday, November 22, and Friday, November 23.

Library, Recreation and Cultural Services

  • Thursday, November 22: All community centers, pools, library locations and the Hult Center ticket office will be closed.
  • Friday, November 23: All three Eugene Public Library locations and the Hult Center Ticket Office will be open. The community centers and pools will remain closed. 

Hult Center ticket purchases, many Library services, and registration for Recreation programs are available online 24/7.

Police, Fire, Medical and Other Emergency Services

Police, fire, medical and other emergency services will be provided as usual on November 22 and 23. The main police station on Country Club Road is open 365 days a year. Although the Downtown Station office will be closed on November 22, the Downtown Patrol Team will be duty.

Public Works

No work will be done on City street repair projects. Around-the-clock health and safety services, such as regional wastewater treatment, will continue without interruption.


City-managed parking garages, surface lots and on-street meters will be free on November 22 and 23, except for the train depot surface lot. On-street parking limits in the Arena District surrounding Matt Knight Arena are in effect at all times as per posted signs.


The Eugene Airport, which is operated by the City of Eugene, will be open for business as usual through the holidays. The airport administrative offices will be closed November 22 and 23. For flight schedule information, go to or call 541-682-5544.

All City offices and facilities will return to regular hours on Monday, November 26, unless otherwise noted. The next holiday observed by the City of Eugene is Christmas Day on December 25.
