[ARCHIVED] Street Robbery at 17th Avenue/Alder Aly

At 9:54 p.m. on November 15, Eugene Police officers were called to E. 17th Avenue and Alder Aly after two people were robbed at gunpoint.

The victims, an woman, age 18, and a man, age 21, reported parking their vehicle on E. 17th and seeing a man across the street talking on a cell phone, who then crossed the street and stood nearby. When they turned around, the suspect robbed them of their purse and wallet at gunpoint and then fled on foot from the area. A Lane County Sheriff’s Office K9 responded to help with a search of the area, and officers spent almost an hour canvassing the area but did not locate the suspect.

Neither of the victims were UO students, but UO PD assisted in the response and sent out notifications to their students.
