On August 22, police responded to The Nile nightclub on Highway 99, following information from the public of the possible location for the suspect involved in the August 19 robbery at the US Bank.
Police contacted the suspect, James Lee Wood, age 49, of Eugene, and found information to arrest him for Robbery in the Second Degree. He was transported to the Lane County Jail on the charges.

On August 19 at 12:23 p.m., a man entered Albertson’s, 1675 W. 18th Avenue, approached the US Bank inside and then robbed the bank of cash. He fled on foot southbound across W. 18th Avenue, and then eastbound through Westmoreland Park.
The suspect is described as a white male, in his 40s or 50s, 6’2” to 6’3” tall, weighing 180-200 pounds with reddish blonde hair hair, and last seen wearing orange sun glasses, a white and orange trucker hat, grey t-shirt, and blue jeans.
