Unauthorized Entry into Motor Vehicles
Case # 12-9164

Eugene Police Officers received a call at approximately 3:40 this morning that individuals were seen breaking into vehicles in the south hills near Foothill Dr. Officers observed multiple vehicles in the area with the doors open, dome lights on and items strewn about the vehicle. Two juveniles were caught by officers as they were looking through a vehicle and were arrested on multiple counts of Unauthorized Entry into a Motor Vehicle. They admitted going through over thirty vehicles from 24th and Hilyard to the south end of West Amazon.

If your vehicle was broken into, please call the non-emergency line, 541-682-5111 to report the incident and possibly claim your property. None of the victim vehicles appeared to have been locked. Please remember to close the windows and lock the doors to your vehicles. Also, do not leave anything visible in the vehicle.
