At 6:08 p.m., yesterday, March30, a man entered the Chase Bank inside Fred Meyer, 3333 W. 11th Avenue, and robbed the bank using a note and implying he had a weapon.
He fled with cash and was last seen on a bicycle leaving the area. Patrol officers and a Springfield Police K9 responded to search. The suspect was not located. Forensics Evidence Unit also responded.
The suspect is described as a white male, age 25-30, 5’10”-6’2” tall, and weighing 200-280 pounds, with a thick brown goatee and short beard on both sides of his face, sunglasses, black baseball hat with “LA” logo in white, over the ear headphones, grey hooded sweatshirt, grey zip-up jacket with breast pockets, brown Carhart-type pants, and black footwear.
