Eugene Police have been informed that Clark County Sheriff's Office located Jacob “Jay” Timothy Richter-Shea, and Cody Duk-Woo Moore, and both are deceased.
According to Clark County Sheriff’s Office, “On December 21, 2017, detectives from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office developed information on the location of the two subjects who were wanted for violent felony crimes by the Eugene Police Department. Local detectives confirmed that the two were staying at the Bridge Creek Apartments located at 9211 NE 15th Ave, in a second story apartment. Because both subjects were suspected to be armed and dangerous the Southwest Washington Regional SWAT team was activated. Around 6:30 p.m. at least one suspect was seen at the back sliding glass door. A noise flash distraction device was deployed and both subjects retreated back into the apartment. A short time later perimeter units reported hearing two muffled pop sounds. SWAT team members used a robot to enter the inside of the apartment and subsequently found both individuals deceased from what appeared to be self-inflicted gunshot wounds. Detectives from the Regional Major Crimes Team responded and are continuing the investigation.”
Richter-Shea AKA “Smoke," age 23, was believed to have been involved in a series of crimes that include an incident of domestic violence and at least two shootings. One shooting was at apartments in the 1400 block of Orchard on December 16. In at least two of the incidents, Police believe Richter-Shea was accompanied by an associate named Cody Duk-Woo Moore, age 19. Both men were considered armed and dangerous.
