[ARCHIVED] Pair Arrested During Shoplifting Investigation

On December 2 at 9:50 p.m., an officer was dispatched to Macy’s at Valley River Center to investigate a reported theft. While he was in the loss prevention office, they spotted Travis Anthony Germyn, age 40,of Eugene, wearing a dark wig under a hat, stealing merchandise. As Germyn left the store with a large amount of merchandise, officers went to contact him and he fled, running towards a car in the parking lot. While Germyn was trying to start his vehicle, an officer caught up to him and commanded him to stop. Germyn complied and was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with Theft in the Second Degree, Theft in the First Degree, Interfering with a Police Officer and warrants on a related case, 17-20309.

While police were investigating the theft, Corinna Ivy Loudon, age 36, of Eugene, showed up at the vehicle, reporting that she owned it. Officers found that Loudon had an attempt to located for theft from Springfield Police Department, and Springfield Police responded to arrest her.
