[ARCHIVED] Robbery at W. 18th 7-Eleven

Robbery at W. 18th Avenue 7-Eleven

Case Number 17-16638

On October 1, at 6:28 p.m., Police were called to the 7-Eleven Market at 1690 W. 18th Avenue for report of a robbery with a gun. An employee had chased the male suspect outside of the store and stopped him after he stole merchandise. A bystander left the store and tried to help the employee and hit the suspect in the face. The suspect brandished a handgun, then fled on foot.

Officers responded along with a Springfield Police K9 for an extensive search. The suspect was not located.

The suspect is described as a white male, age 25-35, tall, with a thin build, shoulder-length thin brownish blond hair and a short beard. He was last seen wearing a light-colored baseball cap on backwards, a grey zip-up hoodie style sweater, and a jacket that appeared dark green and brown. The male was also wearing what appeared to be metal-framed sunglasses.

If anyone has information in this case they are asked to call 541.682.5111.
