[ARCHIVED] Robbery Suspect Arrested After Entering Oregon Taxi

On September 6 at approximately 11:06 p.m., police responded to the area of Kesey Square on E. Broadway regarding a female subject who pulled out a knife and attempted to drive away in an Oregon Taxi cab. Police received information that the Oregon Taxi employee was standing outside the vehicle when the subject entered the driver’s seat of the vehicle, closed the door and refused to exit. The subject then backed the vehicle a short distance, displayed a knife and subsequently exited the vehicle and continued to point the knife at the victim as she walked away. Police located the described subject, Angela Vione Miles, age 57, of Eugene, who was walking south on the 900 block of Willamette Street, and contacted her regarding the incident. She was arrested for Robbery in the First Degree and transported to the Lane County Jail, and the described knife was located in front of a business during the investigation.
