SUMMARY: This year several Eugene neighborhoods will be celebrating National Night Out along with millions of people from thousands of communities across the country. The NNO is designed to keep people in their neighborhoods and encourage them to have neighborhood level events. Getting neighbors to work together to proactively heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for and participation in anti-crime programs, and to send a strong message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back!

The Eugene Police Department and Crime Prevention Unit will also be participating in the event and visiting each location throughout the evening. Members of the unit will provide information on current prevention programs, neighborhood safety tips, and listen to the concerns of area neighbors to better address prevention issues throughout Eugene.

We look forward to seeing you and celebrating this event with our community!
