On July 18 at approximately 2:33 a.m., Eugene Springfield Fire and Eugene Police responded to a dumpster fire on the 1400 block of High Street, and were able to prevent the fire from spreading from the dumpster to the apartment.
A short time later, police responded to a second fire that destroyed three Sanipac trash cans on the 1300 block of Mill Street, and the officer observed an area that had been on fire several feet from a residence.
