[ARCHIVED] Attempted Car Jacking at 14th and Mill

At 4:36 p.m. on February 14, 2017, 25-year-old man from Eugene was parked near 14th Avenue and Mill Street. A man he didn’t know opened the passenger door and displayed a handgun. The victim hit the gas and accelerated away. The suspect fell on the ground and then ran from the scene.


Police officers and a K9 unit arrived on scene and conducted a search and did not locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, age 35-40, approximately 5’10” to 5’11”, with a medium build, hair below his ears and possibly a goatee. He was last seen wearing a maroon sweatshirt, white undershirt and blue jeans.
