Major Collision Investigation Team Update:
Curtis Franklin Spriggs was convicted on charges of Assault in the Third Degree and Hit and Run- Felony. He has received Probation with a 22-month suspended sentence, and if he's non-compliant with his probation, he will go to prison.

Police Make Arrest in July Hit and Run Vehicle – Pedestrian Crash Case
Eugene Police Major Collision Investigation Team made an arrest in the case of a pedestrian-vehicle hit and run crash that occurred on July 18 at 4:43 p.m. at 2nd and Polk.
Curtis Franklin Spriggs, age 24, of Eugene, was arrested today, November 4 at 8:32 a.m., and charged with Assault 2, Driving While Suspended and Hit and Run in the crash that left the pedestrian, Maria Zacarias Hernandez, age 63, of Eugene, with serious injuries.
Springfield Police assisted in locating the involved vehicle in Springfield. Also assisting in this case was Eugene Police Forensic Evidence Unit. Case 16-11874.
