He was cited for Possession/Consumption of an Alcoholic Beverage on an Unlicensed Premise Open to the Public. As the officer was walking away, Sanders lit the citation on fire.

Officers contacted him and it appeared he had been trying to kill himself. The officers called for CAHOOTS, but before they could arrive, the man started walking away. The officers were concerned about what would happen if he went off by himself and took him to the hospital for help.
10/31/16 21:13, 1000 BLOCK OF W 7TH AVEUnlawful Entry Motor Vehicle, Harassment, Criminal Trespass 2 – Case 1618384Officers were sent to Jackson’s Market at 1080 W. 7th Avenue for report of a trespasser. A man dressed only in shorts was refusing to leave. When officers arrived, the man, Sheldon Scott Smith, age 24, was sitting. Earlier he had been banging on the door of a former girlfriend, age 20, and trying to get in. Later he returned and went to Jackson’s Market, where the girlfriend saw him and confronted him. Smith was taken into custody and officers found that there was another victim at the market, an 18-year-old woman. She was followed out to her car by Smith. She got into her car and he reached in and tried to pull her out. Smith was charged with Unlawful Entry Motor Vehicle, Harassment, and Criminal Trespass 2.
10/31/16 19:54, RIVER RD AND DIVISION AVEDUII, Careless Driving - Case 1618381Police responded to a call regarding a possible DUII driver in the parking lot of Bi-Mart at Silver Lane and River Road. An officer located the driver, later identified as Isidro Ramirez Lopez, age 50, of Eugene. Ramirez Lopez started the vehicle and left the parking lot making a series of traffic infractions, and then driving in a bike lane. The officer initiated a traffic stop and after an investigation, Ramirez was charged with Careless Driving, and DUII.
10/31/16 19:16, 99 W BROADWAY/OLIVE STDetox – Case 1618379Downtown Mall guides flagged down an officer and advised a 27-year-old man was acting disorderly. The man was visibly intoxicated and upset, and he walked away. He was detained by the Downtown guides after he punched a car later. Two officers took him into custody and to the Buckley House for detox without incident.
10/31/16 18:30, 4275 BARGER DRTheft 3 – Case 1618378Police responded to the Winco grocery store at the location regarding a male subject who left the store without attempting to pay for an item of food that he place on his person. Police contacted the suspect at the store, Jerry Martin Coffey, age 42, of Springfield, and arrested him for Theft in the Third Degree.
10/31/16 16:23, W 10TH AVE/CHARNELTON STResisting Arrest/Menacing/Theft 3 – Case 1618371Police responded to the Kiva grocery store regarding a male subject who left the location without paying for several items he had taken, including a bottled beverage that he was observed consuming as he walked north. Police located the described suspect, Christopher Wayne Langford, age 45, of Portland, after he threatened two subjects while displaying the bottle, and contacted him in the parking lot of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Langford was confrontational with the officer, refused to follow direction, and raised the wine bottle above his shoulder in a threatening stance toward the officer. He was taken into custody with the use of pepper spray and continued to resist the officer’s attempt to detain him. Langford was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Resisting Arrest, two counts of Menacing, Interfering With A Peace Officer and Theft in the Third Degree.
On October 29, Party Patrol cited 17 people in lieu of custody and issued nine warnings.
10/31/16 02:35, 2700 BLOCK OF ROOSEVELT BLVDFelon in Possession of Restricted Weapon/Possession Meth/Resisting Arrest/Warrant – Case 16-18288Police observed Ashley Jennifer Marquez, age 21, of Eugene, in the parking lot of the Blind Pig restaurant and attempted to contact her regarding warrants. When the officer asked Marquez to step out of the car, she ran south and subsequently discarded two bags that she had been observed holding. The officer was able to catch up to Marquez after she was told multiple times to stop, and she struggled with the officer. During contact with Marquez, police found information to arrest her on two warrants, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Methamphetamine and Felon in Possession of a Restricted Weapon (knife).

Officers arrived and located the described subject, Patrick Xavier Stack, age 49, of Eugene, with the object near 8th Ave and High Street, and contacted him regarding the information. Stack was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Disorderly Conduct.

The subject, Torrey Scott Lewis, age 22, of Beaverton, temporarily left the location, and moments later, attempted to re-enter the residence and displayed aggressive behavior toward the occupants. The officer again contacted Lewis and arrested him for Disorderly Conduct.

Police contacted the subjects, Mark A Lucht, age 54, of Mesa Arizona, and Dalton Tyler Lucht, age 22, of Tempe Arizona, who refused to follow direction from the officers, and Mark struggled with the officers as they attempted to detain him and he was eventually taken into custody with the use of a taser. Both subjects were arrested and transported to the Lane County jail for Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest and Interfering With A Police Officer.
10/29/16 12:59, 4200 BLOCK OF ROYAL AVECriminal Trespass 1/Warrant – Case 1618186Police responded to a residence at the location after receiving information that the locks and handle had been removed from the front door of a vacant home, and the shower was running. When police arrived, they contacted Douglas Alan Firoved, age 53, inside the home, and arrested him for Criminal Trespass in the First Degree and a warrant. He was transported to the Lane County Jail.
10/29/16 03:16, GARFIELD ST/W 7TH AVEDUII – Case 1618170A police officer conducted a traffic stop of a 1998 Honda Accord after it was observed drifting over the left white line with the driver side tires, and swerve right. When the vehicle came to a stop, it struck the west side curb on Garfield Street. After further investigation, the driver, Michael Dean Moore, age 47, of Elmira, was arrested for DUII and cited for Failure to Drive Within Lane.

After further investigation, Fettig was arrested for DUII.
10/29/16 01:53, JEFFERSON ST/W 6TH AVEDUII/Reckless Driving – Case 1618167A police officer contacted the driver of a silver Jeep Wrangler, Dante Dorian Zunigawest, age 34, of Walton, after it was observed weaving within its lane from left to right and traveling at a high rate of speed. The Wrangler was also seen driving into the path of a taxi cab, which had to apply the brakes to avoid a collision. After further investigation, Zunigawest was arrested for DUII and Reckless Driving.

Many people appeared intoxicated. There had been six loud party calls at the location since September 23, 2016. Residents had been warned on these prior occasions. Kendal John Kintzinger, age 20, and Mitchell James Morse, age 20, were cited for Minor in Possession (Alcohol). Nicolas James Sargent, age 21, was cited for Prohibited Noise.
10/27/16 09:15, 270 W 8TH AVERobbery 3 – Case 1618055Officers were dispatched to the Dining Room after a street robbery in the parking lot was reported. A man later identified as James Richard Tefft, age 53, of Eugene, was reported as having tried to steal the keys and purse of a 61-year-old woman. She had been in the area conducting business when she was grabbed from behind while unlocking her vehicle’s door. The woman’s husband shoved Tefft away from her. The woman sustained a minor cut on her hand. Tefft walked away. Officers found Tefft at his apartment nearby and charged him with Robbery 3.
10/27/16 21:27, 62 W BROADWAYDisorderly Conduct – Case 1618096Officers were sent to the Cowfish Bar regarding a dispute. Upon arrival, they found a man seated on the sidewalk in handcuffs. The man, identified as Scott Arthur Masear, age 58, of Eugene, was reported to have walked out of the bar accidentally without signing his receipt. He was asked to come back inside and did sign the receipt, but began calling an employee by vulgar names, threatened him, then after slamming his fists on the bar, he shoved the employee, a 48-year-old man. The employee grabbed him and after taking him to the ground, placed him handcuffs. Masear was charged with Disorderly Conduct.
10/27/16 04:45, HWY 99N/PRAIRIE RDUnlawful Use Vehicle/Possession Burglary Tools – Case 1618048EPD officers and Springfield K9 units responded to the area regarding a male subject who had stolen a Honda Civic from the driveway of a residence on the 4900 block of Parson’s Avenue. The suspect was subsequently observed leaving the Civic in the grass on the west side of Highway 99, and running east across the highway toward B & R Auto Wrecking. Police located and contacted the suspect, Gerald Garland Sittser, age 39, of Eugene, and found information to arrest him for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle and Possession of Burglary Tools, which were found on his person at the time of arrest. He was transported to the Lane County Jail.

Police contacted the subject, Trevor Paul Wanberg, age 30, of Eugene, who left the store without paying for the item, and was observed consuming the item. He was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Theft in the Third Degree.

The officer arrived at the location and contacted the subject, Chad Jonathan Perry, age 43, of Eugene. During contact with Perry, the officer gave him direction to remove his discarded items from the porch, and he continued to walk away from the officer without removing the items. He was arrested for Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree and transported to the Lane County Jail.
10/26/16 08:30, 400 BLOCK HWY 99N Harassment/Criminal Trespass 2/Warrants – Case 16-17991/16-18009Police responded to the location regarding a physical harassment incident, which had occurred earlier. Police received information that a female subject, who had been previously trespassed from the location was observed on the property by an employee. The employee contacted the subject Cassandra Lea Manee, age 33, of Eugene, and told her that she needed to leave the property, and she subsequently spit in the face of the employee before leaving. Police located Manee at approximately 12:15 p.m. on the northeast corner of Royal and Hwy 99, and contacted her regarding the incident. She was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Harassment, Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree and three warrants.

Police entered the home, and located the suspect, Jeffrey J Fine, age 60, of Eugene, who was contacted after emerging from a lower level of the residence. During the investigation, police found information to arrest Fine for Burglary in the First Degree and Possession/Manufacturing/Delivery of a Controlled Substance Schedule 4. He was transported to the Lane County Jail.
10/26/16 02:10, 99 W BROADWAY/OLIVE STDisorderly Conduct – 1617981An officer was sent to respond to a dispute. The subject of the call, George Patrick Griffith, age 42, of Eugene, had been involved in three different calls for service earlier in the day. He had been disorderly at Starbucks, was trespassed from Cowfish Bar and was reported to be starting fights in front of the Sidelines Bar. He was reported to have a wrench he was using to bang on items and he was turning over trash cans. Officers found him flipping over a garbage can in front of the Buy 2 store at Broadway and Olive, yelling and carrying a wrench. He was compliant when officers stopped him. While being transported he began yelling obscenities derogatory toward police at the officer.
10/25/16 22:21, 399 W 6TH AVE/LAWRENCE STAssault 4, Possession of Heroin – Case 1617979An officer observed a vehicle make an illegal left turn from E. 7th across two lanes of traffic to turn north onto Lincoln. The vehicle’s registration was expired and the officer performed a traffic stop. He contacted the 31-year-old female driver, and noted her passenger, later identified as Brian Kuncewitch, age 30, was moving furtively inside the vehicle. Officers found methamphetamine and heroin. Kuncewitch was also found to have assaulted the driver at an earlier time. He was arrested UPCS Heroin, Coercion, and Assault 4.
10/25/16 23:17, 1100 BLOCK OF FERRY STCriminal Mischief/Criminal Trespass 1 - Case 16-17980Police responded to an apartment residence regarding a trespasser who was in a struggle with the resident. Police arrived and located both subjects in the back of the residence and observed that the screen had been pulled from the window, causing damage to the frame, and the air conditioner unit had also been moved. Police contacted the involved subjects and received information that the suspect, James Douglas Ray, age 54, of Eugene, was confronted by the 24-year-old male victim after he was heard on the back porch and received an injury to his head during the struggle. Ray was transported to the hospital for the injury and cited in lieu of custody for Criminal Trespass in the First Degree and Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree.

When police arrived, they received information that the suspect, Kenneth Thomas Nickell, age 38, of Eugene, gained entry to the building from the roof, and was found in the upstairs portion of the building. Police contacted the suspect, and found that he had concealed items from the location in a bag. He was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Burglary in the Second Degree.
07/11/16 03:00, 240 WASHINGTON ST Robbery 1/Assault 2 – Case 16-11403On July 11, police responded to the location regarding a 42-year-old male victim who had been transported to the hospital after he was assaulted at the basketball courts in Washington/Jefferson Park. Police received information that multiple suspects kicked and hit the victim in the face, before leaving the location with several items belonging to the victim. Yesterday, October 25, around 5:35 p.m., police located one of the described suspects, Everett John Hallbach, age 31, of Eugene, and contacted him regarding the incident. He was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Robbery in the First Degree and Assault in the Second Degree. A noteable case from last Thursday:10/20/16 15:08, 700 BLOCK OF WASHINGTON STREETAnimal Abuse 2- Case 16-17653A community member e-mailed Eugene Animal Services video footage depicting a male carrying a large dog by the skin around its shoulders and hind end before throwing onto the ground. An animal welfare officer identified Samuel Axelton, age 21, of Eugene as the male in the video. He was cited with Animal Abuse 2 and the dog was seized. Axelton is not the owner of the dog.
10/25/16 13:03, 1800 BLOCK OF LEMMING AVEBurglary 1/Delivery of Methamphetamine – Case 16-17953Police responded to a residence at the location regarding a burglary in progress, and a short time later received information that the suspects were running from the location southbound. Police observed the inside of the residence and found that numerous items were misplaced and scattered throughout the house, and a door to the garage was damaged. Police also found items belonging to the victim in the backyard of a nearby residence where the suspect had ran after leaving the victimized residence. Police located the described suspects a few blocks from the location and contacted them regarding the incident. Hannah Rose Zabriskie, age 33, of Eugene, was arrested for Burglary in the First Degree and Bradley Allen Crowson, age 33, of Eugene, was arrested for Possession of Meth, Delivery of Meth and Burglary in the First Degree. Both suspects were transported to the Lane County Jail. Crowson received the additional charges for Possession and Delivery after methamphetamine was found in his vehicle (along with stolen property from the home), a short distance from the victimized residence.
10/24/16 02:06, 4078 W 11TH AVE/OCEAN STWarrant Arrest – Case 1617867An officer was flagged down by an individual and told about a subject down at 11th and Ocean. When the officer arrived, he found a man, later identified as Aleksander Curtis Smith, age 36, face down on the sidewalk. After multiple attempts to rouse him, he finally sat up. Aleksander declined medical assistance. He had two warrants and was taken into custody.
10/23/16 23:57, 100 DAY ISLAND RDCriminal Trespass 2, Prohibited Park Activities – Case 1617862An officer was sent to Alton Baker Park after a disorderly subject was reported to be kicking and possibly stabbing another person in the park by the tables. The officer located the man, later identified as Breige Anthony Keber, age 18, and told him to stop several times, but Keber walked away. Keber finally stopped at the edge of the park at Country Club Road. Keber had been previously trespassed from the park and had a current park restriction. He was also in the park after hours. He was arrested for Criminal Trespass 2 and Violation of Park Rules. Keber was charged with Criminal Trespass II and Violation of Park Rules.
10/23/16 21:55, 240 WASHINGTON STDelivery of Methamphetamine, Warrant – Case 16177842An officer on focused patrol in the Washington Jefferson Park saw two men sharing a cigarette. During contact with them, one of the men, later identified as Jeremy Gerald Neilly, refused to provide his identity for the purposes of a citation. Officers were able to identify Neilly and found that he had a warrant for his arrest out of Douglas County for Delivery of Oxycodone, and he was found to be in possession of meth. The other man, Bryan William Koch, age 31, was found to have a warrant for Harassment/Disorderly Conduct and was found to be in possession of packets of Methamphetamine. Koch was taken into custody on the warrant and charged with Possession/Delivery of a Methamphetamine. Neilly was taken into custody on his warrant as well as charged with Possession of Methamphetamine. Both Koch and Neilly were issued park restrictions.
10/23/16 16:15, 1699 W 18TH AVE/CHAMBERS STDisorderly Conduct – Case 1617845An officer was stopped on W. 18th Avenue and Chambers Street for a red light. He saw a man in his rear view mirror walking and dancing in the middle of the westbound W. 18th. Vehicles were slowing down and driving round him to avoid striking him. He appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance. The officer arrested the man, Amiel Jerome Arnegard, age 41, for Disorderly Conduct.
10/23/16 23:22, 199 GARFIELD ST/W 2ND AVEPossession of Methamphetamine, Criminal Trespass – Case 1617861Officers went to assist another officer who had a female suspect running from him after he attempted to stop her for trespassing in the 2000 block of Roosevelt Blvd. She was running down the railroad tracks. Officers caught up to her and the woman, identified as Amber Danielle Morgan, age 36, was placed in handcuffs without incident. She appeared under the influence of a controlled substance and was in possession of meth. Charges: Possession of Methamphetamine, Criminal Trespass.
10/23/16 19:32, 200 SKINNERS BUTTE LPViolation Park Rules, Warrant, Recovery of UO Student’s ID – Case 1617854Officers working selective enforcement of Eugene area parks were at Skinners Butte Park and observed a tent. They contacted the residents, Zachary Joseph Ortiz, age 20, and a 17-year-old female. Ortiz was detained until his identity could be confirmed. An ID card and grocery store card belonging to a UO student were found in his possession. Once officers were able to confirm Ortiz’s identity, they found he had warrants. Ortiz was taken into custody on the warrants. Both Ortiz and Schmitt were issued citations for Violation of Park Rules and 30-day park exclusion notices. The UO student had recently been the victim of a vehicle break-in.

One of them, later identified as James William Clark Coleman, age 20, appeared to be concealing drug paraphernalia. He initially provided a false name, then provided his real name. He had a warrant for Failure to Appear for Possession of Methamphetamine. He was also found to be in possession of meth. He was taken into custody on the warrant and also charged with Possession of Methamphetamine.

10/23/16 02:26, 1412 PEARL STPossession of Heroin, Warrant – Case 1617828An officer responded to report of a trespasser who was on the porch of the E-Law offices moaning. The officer found two trespassers and one of them was moaning. One of the men, Joseph Carleton Middleton, age 67, of Eugene, identified himself, the other, Jacob Anthony Brumwell, age 25, of Pleasant Hill, initially did not, but officers were able to determine his identity. Both had warrants and were taken into custody. Brumwell was found to be in possession of heroin and was also charged with Possession of Heroin.

The man was cooperative when police arrived. He wished medical treatment and advised he was being bullied by downtown transients and that he had already tried to kill himself earlier in the day. He was taken to the hospital.
10/23/16 02:58, 830 OLIVE ST Harassment – Case 1617822Police were called to a possible harassment near the Horsehead Tavern. Once they got there, they spoke with bystanders who reported hearing a dispute near Starlight Lounge on Olive Street. Officer found James Michael Obi, age 32, of Eugene, at the location surrounded by a group of people, including the 33-year-old female victim. Obi was reported to have struck the woman in the face during an argument. After an investigation, Obi was charged with Harassment. The woman declined medics.
10/22/16 17:45, 1062 CHARNELTON STDisorderly Conduct – Case 1617809An officer was dispatched to St. Mary`s Catholic Church for a disorderly male, later identified as Patricio Mendez Del Alto, age 34, who was reported to be trying to fight parishioners inside the chapel. When officers arrived, Del Alto was outside standing on the corner yelling across the street at bystanders and then he walked across the street in front of a car to continue yelling at the parishioners who had exited the church. The officer admonished Del Alto to stop, but he crossed the street and then began to run away. The officer caught up and admonished Del Alto again, who was compliant. Del Alto appeared intoxicated. It was reported Del Alto had been in the church and as the priest began services, he started to shout and cause a scene. When attendees tried to intervene, Del Alto swung his arm at one of them, but didn’t make contact. He got into a fighting posture and confronted two others before leaving. During the officer’s interview, Del Alto continued shouting obscenities at people passing by, including some small children. He was charged with Disorderly Conduct.
09/12/16 20:30, 1400 BLOCK OF BERNTZEN RD, ARREST 10/22/16 12:36, 700 BLOCK OF TANEYUnauthorized Use of Vehicle, Interfering with a Peace Officer, Felon in Possession of Restricted Weapon, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Warrant - 1615310A 1995 Nissan Exterra pickup was reported stolen on September 13. A police officer took a report. On September 20, an officer located the vehicle in the 800 block of W. 6th Avenue, and the male driver had fled southbound from the location. After investigating and collecting evidence, officers identified the man who fled as Thomas Albert Hagle. During a search of the truck, officers found drug paraphernalia, marijuana, baggies with white substances and other items. An attempt to locate was put out for Hagle. On October 22 at 12:36 p.m., two officers patrolling spotted Hagle walking westbound on Royal towards Bertelson Road. As officers turned the vehicle to make a contact with Hagle, he ran into a residential neighborhood. He was running into yards jumping fences. A K9 unit was called and performed area checks. Hagle was located by the K9 unit in a crawl space under the foundation of a residence in the 700 block of Taney Street. He was taken into custody and was in possession of methamphetamine and restricted weapon (knife). He had warrant. He was taken into custody for Unauthorized Use of Vehicle, Interfering with a Peace Officer, Felon in Possession of Restricted Weapon, Possession of Methamphetamine, and warrants.
10/21/16 02:39, 3210 W 11TH AVE/SENECA RDDUII, Reckless Driving – Case 1617727An officer was dispatched to report of a possibly intoxicated driver who had driven beyond the roadway and gotten her vehicle stuck in the mud at W. 11th Avenue and Seneca. The officer contacted the driver, Shannon Rene Thompson, age 45, of Eugene, and suspected impairment. She was charged with DUII and Reckless Driving.
10/21/16 02:32, 300 JEFFERSON STFailure to Register as a Sex Offender, False Info to Police, Warrant – Case 1617224Two officers were patrolling Owen Rose Gardens and observed four people at the pavilion after hours. They contacted the group and one of the individuals, later identified as David Allen Diedrich, age 35, provided a false name. He had a warrant for his arrest (Marion County Circuit Court Possession of Meth Failure to Appear/Criminal Trespass 2 Failure to Appear), and a second warrant for Initiating a False Report. Diedrich was also found to be out of compliance with his requirement to register as a sex offender. Diedrich was arrested on the warrants, and was also charged with Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, and Providing False Information to Police.
10/21/16 01:35, 4500 ROYAL AVE/BELTLINE WBPossession of Meth, False Info to Police, Warrant – Case 1617225An officer spotted a man on a bike without visible reflectors. The rider, later identified as Jason Lee Kramer, age 32, of Eugene, provided a false name to the officer, had three warrants, and was in possession of methamphetamine. Kramer was arrested on the warrants and also charged with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, False Information to Police Officer, and cited for Violation Bicycle Equipment Requirements.
10/20/16 17:56, 599 W 5TH AVE/JEFFERSON STCriminal Trespass 2, Violation Park Rules, Warrant – Case 1617702Officers were working a special assigned task, working with the City’s Parks and Open Spaces staff to help deal with riverbanks and several parks that have become overrun with rampant drug use, violent behavior and criminal acts. This task has resulted in multiple arrests. One of those arrests occurred as an officer walking at Washington/Jefferson Park spotted a woman, later identified as Angel Shirelle Spires, age 31, sitting against the overpass support to the bridge and a man later identified as Raymond Ashley Underkoefler, age 35, of Eugene, engaged in prohibited behavior. Spires had a warrant for her arrest and had a previous park restriction. She was issued a 90-day park restriction and cited for Violation of Park Rules. She was arrested on the warrant. Underkofler ad a current park restriction and he was issued a one-year park restriction, cited for Violation of Park Rules and cited in lieu of custody for Criminal Trespass 2.
10/20/16 21:38, 2100 BLOCK OF CUBIT STAssault, Reckless Endangering, Disorderly Conduct – Case 1617713An officer was sent to report of two men fighting, with one last seen on the ground. When the officer arrived, one man was sitting on the ground in a planter area of a local business and the other was nearby. The officer investigated and found probable cause that Arthur Roy Lyle, age 40, had assaulted his 57-year-old friend. Lyle was charged with Assault, Reckless Endangering and Disorderly Conduct. The victim was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
10/20/16 19:14, W 5TH AVE AND ADAMS STFelon in Possession of Restricted Weapon, Delivery of Controlled Substance Schedule 1, Possession of Controlled Substance Schedule 1, Tampering with Evidence, Warrant – Case 1617706An officer patrolling W. 5th and Adams observed a man, later identified as Travis James Tibbet, age 37, riding a bike in dark clothing without lights. They stopped him and found he had three warrants for arrest (Failure to Appear Possession of Methamphetamine, Failure to Appear Theft 2 and Failure to Appear Theft 3). He was arrested on the warrants and also found to be in possession of a restricted weapon and a delivery-sized amount of LSD, which he tampered with during the police contact. Felon in Possession of Restricted Weapon, Delivery of Controlled Substance Schedule 1, Possession of Controlled Substance Schedule 1, Tampering with Evidence, Warrant.
10/20/16 21:01, 846 W 6TH AVEDisorderly Conduct – Case 1617712Police were called to the SidePocket Tavern regarding a man, later identified as James Charles Potter, age 50, who was trying to fight with customers and staff. He had to be restrained at one point by staff. When officers arrived, Potter was in a chair with three people sitting facing him. It was reported that Potter began yelling at a customer for no apparent reason and threatening to fight him. The customer had moved away, but Potter continued to threaten him. A male staff member in his 40s intervened and was also threatened. Potter tried to kick him in the groin so the staff member tackled him to the ground and customers helped restrain Potter. Upon arrival at the Jail, Potter refused to get out of the patrol vehicle and Jail deputies had to physically remove him. He was charged with Disorderly Conduct.
10/20/16 11:58, 1542 W 1ST AVENon-criminal Hold – Case 1617673Officers were sent to respond to a man in his early 30s, who was self-reporting feeling suicidal. He was unwilling to wait in the rain for CAHOOTS and wished to go to Jail instead. In an effort to get taken to jail, he bashed his head against a fence, then charged by an officer and tried to open the door of a nearby pickup, which was locked. He came back toward another officer with a path toward another vehicle, which was occupied. The officer wanted to ensure the vehicle’s occupant’s safety and grabbed the front of the suicidal man’s jacket and pushed him toward a fence. Both officers had to struggle with the man to get him into handcuffs, but were able to do so. There was probable cause to arrest him for Disorderly Conduct, however, the officer chose to divert to the hospital instead.

10/20/16 15:49, 1699 W 12TH AVE/CHAMBERS STDUII – Case 1617693An officer was driving north in the 1200 block of Chambers when a Dodge pickup crossed directly in front of him and he had to brake to avoid a collision. The truck had pulled out from the stop sign on W. 12th Ave, west of Chambers crossing eastbound through the intersection. The officer initiated a traffic stop for the driver’s failing to yield the right of way at a controlled intersection. After the officer contacted the driver, Zachary Andrew John Wochok, age 34 of California, he suspected impairment. After an investigation, Wochok was charged with DUII.
10/20/16 11:28, 200 DAY ISLAND RDReckless Driving – Case 1617662Officers were called to Alton Baker Park regarding a reckless driver on the bike path. Bystanders reported the vehicle was driving on the bike path at a high rate of speed, past bicyclists and pedestrians. Two officers located the vehicle in the main parking lot of Alton baker and initiated a traffic stop. The driver, Michael Wayne Barrow, age 56, of Eugene, was ordered out of his vehicle due to the nature of the call. He was compliant. Barrow did not have a valid driver’s license or insurance. Police impounded his vehicle and he was charged with Reckless Driving, Driving without Insurance and No Driver`s License.
10/20/16 01:31, 1299 W 5TH AVE/POLK STPossession of Methamphetamine, Warrant – Case 1617643An officer performed a traffic stop and the driver, Jeffrey Reynolds Bradley, age 56, of Eugene, had a parole board warrant for absconding. Bradley was reaching into his backseat several times for a bag, then got out of his vehicle. The officer told him to get back in his vehicle. Bradley was cooperative and was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. He was taken into custody on the warrant and also charged with Possession of Methamphetamine.
10/19/16 18:48, 599 W 7TH AVE/JEFFERSON STWarrant – Case 1617632Officers were making a patrol check of W. 7th Alley and Jefferson Street and as they rode their bikes, they spotted a man they believed to have a warrant, Randy Paul Miles, age 54, ride past. The officers stopped Miles and James Douglas Ray walked up. The officers believed James Douglas Ray, age 54, also had a warrant. They were both taken into custody on their warrants.
10/19/16 21:26, 200 BLOCK OF ALVA PARK DRAssault 2 - Case 1617640Police were called to an armed dispute, involving a knife, between two roommates. When police arrived the two were separated and the suspect, Angel Rey Rodrigues, age 50, was waiting for police outside the residence. Rodriguez was cooperative. The 60-year-old male victim had a minor cut. Rodrigues was charged with Assault 2 and taken to the Lane County Jail.

He was taken into custody on the warrant and charged with Theft of Lost/Mislaid Property and Possession of Methamphetamine.

The suspect, 48-year-old Valentina Mary Deceleo, had been at the property several times in the past and been told to leave and not return. She was charged with Criminal Trespass 2.

As the officer walked over, the owner, Nicholas Joseph Ingram, age 28, also walked over toward the dog to untie it. There had been reports from the public earlier in the day that Ingram was mistreating the dog. Ingram was cited for Violation of Park Rules (Dog at Large), and issued a 30-day Park Restriction.

The suspect, Tiffany Marie Zajic, age 27, of Eugene, attempted to fill a forged prescription using the name of another person. After investigating, the officer had probable cause to arrest Zajic and put out an attempt to locate her after he was unable to contact her at her residence. On October 18, the officer was dispatched to Springfield Municipal Court to contact Zajic. She was cited in lieu of custody for Forgery 2 and ID Theft.
10/19/16 04:23, 951 W 6TH AVEAttempted Assault 2, Criminal Mischief 2, Disorderly Conduct 2, Warrant – Case 1617576Officers were called to the 7-Eleven as am employee was holding down a man, later identified as Kevin John Purkerson, age 51. The employee, age 39, had seen Purkerson and another man, age 49, arguing outside the business and stepped outside to tell them to leave. Purkerson threw a bike part at the 49-year-old man he had been arguing with, and the part hit the window, breaking it. Purkerson was also reported to have hit the employee in the head with a golf club. The employee did not require medical attention for the blow. Purkerson was charged with two counts of Attempted Assault 2, Disorderly Conduct 2, and Criminal Mischief 2.

The officer found the rider, Carlyss Monroe Bell, age 26, had a warrant for Felon in Possession of a Restricted Weapon Failure to Appear, and found that he was in possession of methamphetamine. Bell was taken into custody on the warrant and also charged with Possession of Methamphetamine.
10/18/16 19:27, 1 W 29TH AVE/WILLAMETTE STDUII, Motor Vehicle Crash, – Case 16-17561A Chevy Tahoe was traveling westbound on 29th Avenue and had been observed weaving in the lane of travel. The Tahoe crashed head-on with a vehicle that had been travelling eastbound and was stopped at the 29th Avenue and Willamette Street intersection. The Tahoe’s driver, Cynthia Ann Boettcher Klinger, age 44, of Eugene, was reported to have hit the stopped vehicle head-on, and then went approximately 100 feet away where she hit a curb. When contacted, Boettcher Klinger appeared to be impaired. After an investigation, she was charged with DUII, and Failure to Drive in a Single Lane.
10/18/16 12:18, 599 W 6TH AVE/JEFFERSON ST False Information to Officer, Warrants – Case 16-17534An officer patrolling the 6th and Washington area found two men in sleeping bags under the bridge. He advised them not to camp. One of the men, later identified as James Dean Richardson, age 35, provided a false name to the officer. The other man was identified as Raymond Charles Erb, age 50. Both had warrants. Richardson had three confirmed warrants for his arrest: Hit and Run (Marion County Parole Violation), Providing False Information to Police (Salem Failure to Appear), and Trespassing and Providing False Information to Police (Salem Failure to Appear). Erb had a warrant for Trespassing (Salem Failure to Appear). Richardson was lodged at the Lane County Jail for all three warrants and for giving false information. Erb was taken into custody on his warrant.
10/18/16 23:32, 240 WASHINGTON STWarrant – Case 16-17565An officer patrolling in the area contacted Elijah Boyd Cardon, age 32, at the Washington Jefferson Park, which was closed. He had two warrants: Possession of Methamphetamine and Parole Violation for Possession of Methamphetamine. He was taken into custody without incident on the two warrants.
10/18/16 19:54, 599 BLAIR BLVD/W 6TH AVEPossession of Methamphetamine, Littering, Hinder Prosecution – Case 16-17560An officer stopped two individuals for riding bicycles without lights. One of the individuals, was identified as Lisa Ember Martin, age 20, of Reedsport. As Martin stopped, she threw a cigarette to the ground. The male rode off and officers were unable to find him. Martin was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. She had been in the Sidepocket Tavern with the male and refused to provide his identity. She was charged with Hindering Prosecution, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Offensive Littering.
10/18/16 17:24, 1099 W 8TH AVE/VAN BUREN STDisorderly Conduct – Case 16-17551An officer responded to the area after a man, later identified as Anthony Joseph Ciechon, age 36, was reported to be placing garbage cans in traffic and lighting small fires in the road. An officer responded and found Ciechon sitting on an upturned garbage can. He was charged with Disorderly Conduct.
10/18/16 18:15, 2700 BLOCK OF BAILEY LNCriminal Trespass – Case 16-17552A man was reported to have been on the front driveway of a residence and was reported to have thrown a shirt at children nearby, then gone up onto a resident’s porch and riffled through the resident’s ashtray on the porch. He had been asked to leave and initially refused, but ended up going southbound and into the parking lot of Farmington Square, a retirement community. At Farmington, he is reported to have gone into the restroom and defecated in the sink. The man was also reported to be yelling at passersby, was carrying bolt cutters, and was kicking signs. Officers found a man matching the suspect’s description walking southbound on Coburg Road and stopped him. After investigating, the man was identified as Kenneth Allen Morgan, age 37, of Springfield. Morgan was charged with Criminal Trespass 2.

When police arrived, they contacted the suspect, Robin Joseph Irish, age 54, of Eugene, and received information that he had stolen a beverage from the store and consumed the beverage without paying for it. Irish was arrested in lieu of custody for Theft in the Third Degree.

When police attempted to contact the suspect, Patricio Mendez Delalto, age 34, of Eugene, he continued to behave aggressively, and was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree. He was transported to the Lane County Jail.
10/17/16 23:15, 1400 BLOCK OF ESCALANTE STInterfering With A Peace Officer – Case 16-17499Police responded to a residence at the location regarding a dispute, and made several attempts to contact the male subject, Daniel John Myers, age 54, who appeared to be intoxicated inside the home. The home’s other occupant had left the home and needed to retrieve some essential items. Police received information that Myers had displayed aggressive behavior and had damaged items inside and might have access to firearms. The responding officers’ goal was to provide solutions other than arrest. Officers attempted to call inside the home, but Myers hung up the phone. They heard a noise and then subsequently Myers emerged from bushes near a neighboring house. After officers spotted him, he was uncooperative with the officer’s attempt to identify him. Myers subsequently challenged officers to shoot him, and made a slow, deliberate movement with his hand towards his waistband, where he had a knife. A Taser was deployed to take him into custody. He was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Interfering With a Police Officer.
10/17/16 17:32, 200 BLOCK OF HWY 99NFalse Information to an Officer/Warrant – Case 16-17483Police responded to the area regarding a female subject who was smashing a blunt object on the dumpsters behind the Szechuan Chinese Restaurant. Police located the subject, Tawny Marie Phillips, age 33, and after providing a false name to police, the officers eventually found that Phillips had a warrant for arrest. She was contacted and arrested for the warrant and received an additional charge of False Information to an Officer. She was transported to the Lane County Jail.

Police contacted and arrested Kuntz for Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree and Theft in the Third Degree.
10/17/16 09:20, 330 W 7TH AVEHarassment – Case 16-17435Police responded to Jackson’s Market regarding a male subject, Patrick Xavier Stack, age 49, who had been previously trespassed from the location, kicked over a sign, yelled at an employee and spit in the employee’s face after being told to leave. Police located Stack in the area of 6th Avenue and Washington and contacted him regarding the incident. He was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Harassment.
10/16/16 12:03– 1099 W 16TH AVE/VAN BUREN STPossession of Methamphetamine – Case 16-17401An officer was sent to the area for report of illegal camping. He contacted the suspect, Damian Steven Swinney, age 36, and during the contact, Swinney turned and walked away from the officer toward his bike and trailer. He had a warrant and the officer took him into custody without incident. The officer found that Swinney was in possession of methamphetamine, and was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine.
07/20/16 23:00 – 1000 BLOCK OF LINCOLN Assault 4 – Case 16-12251On July 20 at 11:30 p.m., a 35-year-old man reported being assaulted by his neighbor, Shawn Edward Randall, age 32, of Eugene, during a wine-tasting party. During the party, Randall became hostile and the victim confronted him. Randall is reported to have stood up and assaulted the victim, knocking him out. Two other men at the party assisted in separating the two. An attempt to locate was issued for Randall. An officer contacted Randall at his apartment on October 16 and he was charged with Assault.

He contacted a man, Scot Kheack Walton, age 40, who has two warrants and he was placed under arrest. Walton was found to be in possession of meth. He was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine.
10/16/16 08:24, 605 W. 4TH AVENUEWarrant – Case 16-17391An officer was sent to Buckley House regarding a wanted trespasser, identified as Justin Scott Crump, age 28. He was sleeping near a shed and was refusing to leave. He was taken to the Lane County Jail on the warrant.
10/16/16 11:01, 400 BLOCK of E. 13th AVENUEBurglary 1, ID Theft, Possession of Burglary Tools – Case 16-17389An officer responded to a residential burglary in the 400 block of E. 13th Avenue. The suspect, Jordan Indiana Crump, age 24, had been located and confronted by one of the male residents outside the house, after Crump had reportedly been inside the house eating, and then walked out with items from the home, including purses. As the man who had detained Crump flagged police down, Crump ran into a neighboring driveway and toward a fence. The man who had detained Crump grabbed the suspect and made him sit on the ground. The officer placed Crump in handcuffs. Crump appeared under the influence of narcotics and was in possession of burglary tools. He was charged with Burglary 1, ID Theft, and Possession of Burglary Tools.
10/16/16 01:34, 199 W 18TH AVE/CHARNELTON STDUII, Reckless Driving – Case 16-17387An officer on routine patrol near 18th and Oak spotted a silver Ford Mustang oriented facing south on Oak Street, which is only for northbound traffic. The vehicle drove against the one-way designation and turned right onto 18th, failing to maintain its lane of travel. The officer began to initiate a traffic stop and the vehicle struck a sidewalk while turning and stopping. The officer suspected impairment once she contacted the driver, Malcolm Victor Delgado Mejia, age 28, of Eugene. After an investigation Mejia was charged with DUII and Reckless Driving.
10/15/16 23:17, 3690 WOOD AVE/ARCHIE STFelon in Possession of Restricted Weapon, Possession of Burglary Tools, Warrant, Driving While Suspended, Driving Uninsured – Case 1617383An officer was dispatched to Wood Avenue and Archie Street regarding a man who was suspected of trying to break into a vehicle. The man ran northbound before the officer got there, then returned and appeared to be touching the wheels and tires on a pickup truck before walking down the street and getting into a Chevy Blazer. The officer spotted it and also observed it fail to come to a stop at a four-way stop sign. He stopped the vehicle and contacted the driver, Iosefa Sesera Brown, age 46, of Eugene. Brown had a passenger, Victoria Jeanette Elliott, age 42, of Eugene. Brown was driving while suspended, and driving uninsured. He also had a state wide felony warrant for his arrest out of the Lane County Circuit Court for Failure to Appear on a Methamphetamine charge. He was also found to be in possession of a restricted weapon and in possession of burglary tools. Elliott, the passenger, had two warrants (Eugene Munipal court for Contempt of Court, and Lane County Parole and Probation for a Probation Violation). Both were taken into custody.
10/15/16 21:11, 400 HWY 99N Possession of Heroin – Case 1617377An officer was on patrol and observed Thomas Nicholas Hawkins, age 46, in a Chevrolet Nova and had dealt with him the previous day regarding a dispute. The officer knew that Hawkins’ driver’s license was suspended, and warned him about driving. When he spotted Hawkins driving the next day, he stopped him. He was found to be in possession of heroin. He was charged with Possession of Heroin.

Police received information that Polito subsequently yelled at the employee and threw small items from her pockets. She was contacted by police and arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree.

When police arrived, they received information that the dispute escalated from a verbal dispute between a female employee, age 30, and a customer, Mary Benoyia Pendergrasswooten, age 63, of Eugene, who became aggressive and started yelling and throwing items in the store. Pendergrasswooten was told to leave and refused, and was escorted outside the location and subsequently poked the employee in the chest and pulled her hair. Police contacted Pendergrasswooten and arrested her for Assault, Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree. She was transported to the Lane County Jail.

10/15/16 13:14, 555 HIGH STTheft 3/Criminal Trespass 2 – Case 16-17355Police responded to St. Vincent De Paul thrift store regarding a trespasser who had been told previously not to enter the store. Police received information that the suspect, Rashel Ann Sears, age 45, of Eugene, entered the store and left the store without attempting to pay for an item she had taken. Sears was contacted by police and arrested for Trespass in the Second Degree and Theft in the Third Degree. She was transported to the Lane County Jail.

10/15/16 01:48, OAK PATCH RD/W 18TH AVEDUII – Case 16-17346A police officer on patrol observed a 2002 Ford Crown Victoria driving at a high rate of speed westbound on Garfield, and contacted the driver after observing the right tires of the vehicle repeatedly touch the dotted white line of the lane, before jerking the vehicle to correct its position. After further investigation, police arrested Wesley Ronald Lavassaur, age 21, of Eugene, for DUII.
10/15/16 01:12, E 11TH AVE/OAK STDUII/Reckless Driving – Case 16-17345A police officer conducting an unrelated traffic stop on E. 11th, observed a 2005 Infiniti G35 crash into the rear of a gold Toyota Corolla as it approached the stop light at Oak Street. The officer contacted the involved subjects, and after further investigation, the driver of the Infiniti, Alexander Charles Craft, age 21, of Veneta, was arrested for DUII and Reckless Driving.

After further investigation, he was cited in lieu of custody for DUII and Fail to Drive in a Single Lane.
12/30/15 14:41 – Arrest on October 13 at 22:56, 2890 W 11TH AVENUERobbery 3 – Case 1521961On December 30, 2015, an officer was dispatched to a dispute between two men and one of the men had left the area in a grey vehicle. The remaining man, age 58, reported that he was traveling eastbound on W. 11th Avenue near Bertelsen Road near construction. The grey vehicle traveling in the lane next to him drove past him and merged at the last opportunity. The victim had to pull into the center lane to avoid being struck and then pulled in behind the grey vehicle. He pulled next to the suspect vehicle and indicated to the other driver that he had been too close and the other driver flipped him off and he returned the gesture. The victim pulled into a business and the other vehicle pulled into the same parking area and confronted the victim and was verbally belligerent. The victim was trying to use his phone to take a video, and the suspect, later identified as Jack Weldon Baker, age 32 of Springfield, pushed him into the door of his truck and then took the victim’s phone and left. After a good investigation by the officer using the victim’s phone tracking system, an attempt to locate was entered for Baker. The officer was at the Lane County Jail on October 13, and noted Baker was lodged. Baker was charged with Robbery 3.
10/13/16 22:43, W 5TH AVE/MONROE STAssault – Case 16-17293Police responded to the location regarding a theft at the Brun’s Apple Market. When police arrived, they contacted the suspect, Kyle Chase Turley, age 28, of Eugene, who was with two employees a short distance from the business, and received information that Turley left the market without paying for an item he had taken. Turley was contacted by the two employees, and punched both subjects in the face when they attempted to get him to return to the store. He was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for two counts of Assault and Theft in the Third Degree.
10/13/16 21:58, E 10TH AVE/HIGH STDUII/Interfering With Police/Hit and Run/Reckless Driving/Elude Foot – Case 16-17285Police responded to a crash at the intersection of E. 10th and High Street and observed a blue Ford Fusion with significant front-end damage, behind an LTD bus with damage to the back passenger side bumper. During contact with LTD, the police officer observed the driver of the Fusion, Miguel Jorge Antonio Huffman, age 20, of Eugene, walking southbound on High Street. The officer gave direction for Huffman to stop, and he subsequently ran, and continued to run from the officer before the officer eventually caught up to him at 11th Alley, just east of High Street. Huffman was contacted regarding the incident and arrested for DUII, Interfering With a Police Officer, Hit and Run, Reckless Driving and Elude on Foot. He was transported to the Lane County Jail.

10/13/16 09:31, W 1ST AVE/MADISON STTheft 2 – Case 16-17233An EPD Community Service Office was in the area when he observed a male subject remove a bike from a rack and carry southbound on Madison, while pushing his own bike with his other arm. A police officer responded to the area and contacted the suspect, Ted Alan Jarrett, age 41, of Eugene, and arrested him for Theft in the Second Degree, and transported him to the Lane County Jail. The bike was returned to its owner, after it was reported stolen earlier this year in May.
10/13/16 07:59, 600 BLOCK OF W. 4TH AVENUECriminal Mischief 2 – Case 16-17224Police responded to a disorderly subject at the Buckley House and received information that the subject Brian David Zier, age 43, of Eugene, had displayed volatile behavior and was throwing items, yelling at employees and dented a vehicle before leaving the location. Police located Zier on Jefferson Street, near Washington Jefferson Park, and he rode away from the officer on his skateboard after the officer gave him direction to stop. Zier then ran through the park and was eventually contacted by the officer after crossing Washington Street, and arrested for for Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree and Interfering With Police. He was transported to the Lane County Jail.

The person initially identified himself as "Vanna White.” The subject was seated on the front entryway of the apartment and had vomited. He was taken voluntarily to Buckley House to get help with detox.

Arriving officers contacted the man, later identified as Roger George Albi, age 68, of Eugene, at 13th and Hilyard. He was charged with Criminal Mischief 2.
10/12/16 20:09, 3200 W 7TH AVE/SENECA RDDUII, Driving While Suspended, Driving Uninsured, Failure to Yield at Left Turn, No Valid Driver’s License, – Case 1617209An officer was dispatched to the hospital, where a person involved in a traffic crash was under the influence of alcohol. There had been a vehicle/motorcycle crash at 7th and Seneca. There was a trauma activation for the motorcyclist, later identified as Armenio Rodrigues Rebelo, age 33, of Springfield, who was taken to the hospital. Once he was stabilized, police investigated. Rebelo had been riding southbound on Seneca Road and made a left turn onto W. 7th Avenue and crashed in the intersection with a vehicle headed northbound on Seneca. Rebelo had no insurance and his driving privileges were suspended for previous DUIIs. He was charged with DUII, Driving While Suspended, Driving Uninsured, Failure to Yield Left Turn, No Valid Driver’s License.

A woman, later identified as Amberlee Pyle, age 38, was refusing to leave after causing a disturbance that prompted the manager to close the restaurant early. A sergeant arrived on scene and found the suspect, later identified as George Patrick Griffith, age 42, of Eugene, to be on W. Broadway, west of Olive. Griffith was reported to be harassing customers, told to leave, but refused. He finally left. Griffith was charged with Criminal Trespass 2.

The officer located the man, Chad Everett Basurto, age 39, of Florence, and found he had a warrant and was in possession of methamphetamine. He was taken into custody on the warrant and also charged with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine.
10/12/16 15:16, 640 W 7TH AVETheft 2, Possession of Heroin, Interfere with Peace Officer – Case 1617200A bike patrol officer observed a Dodge Durango parked behind the Salvation Army building, which was closed for the business day. There were two people in the vehicle and the lot was marked ‘No Trespassing.’ The occupants reported they were waiting for a third party to arrive at the location to purchase a bike. The officer left but stayed in the area. He observed a man, later identified as Gregory James Scott, age 54, arrive on a bike. The officer went back to the vehicle and Scott appeared surprised and started to quickly ride away. The officer commanded him to stop and Scott kept going, fleeing. The officer caught up and grabbed him off the bike, and it took advising him with a taser to get him to comply. Scott was found to be in possession of Heroin, a Schedule III Controlled Substance, and the bicycle was found to be stolen. The bicycle was returned to its owner, who had reported it. Scott was charged with Theft 2, Possession of Heroin, Interfering with Peace Officer.

Police contacted the suspect, Ethan James Purkey, of Eugene, and received information that he had taken two bikes off the rack and discarded items from one of the bikes before riding away on the bike path. Both bikes were returned to their owners and Purkey was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Possession of Methamphetamine and Theft in the First Degree.
10/11/16 21:44, BROADWAY/GARFIELD STREETRobbery 3 – Case 16-17154Police responded to the area regarding a street robbery, following information of a suspect that demanded the personal bag of a 60-year-old male victim, and punched the victim several times and attempted to take the bag from the victim. The victim subsequently fought back and managed to keep the bag, and observed the suspect leaving westbound on bike. Police located the described suspect, Maximo Rodolfo Covernali, age 31, of Eugene, a short distance from the incident on Broadway, west of Garfield Street, and contacted him regarding the information. He was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Robbery in the Third Degree.
10/11/16 20:12, W 18TH AVE/CHAMBERS STDUII/Possession Controlled Substance/Reckless Driving/Driving While Suspended/Warrant – Case 16-17153Police responded to the area regarding a possible DUII driver that had nearly hit multiple cars and drove into oncoming traffic near 28th Avenue and Tyler Street. Police located the described green 2000 Jeep Cherokee on Chambers Street and conducted a traffic stop after the vehicle was observed driving over the striped lines separating the two northbound lanes of travel, and jerking the vehicle to correct its position. As the vehicle pulled off the road during the traffic stop, it hit the sidewalk and drove over the curb and partially into the grass between the roadway and the sidewalk near 14th and Chambers Street. The officer contacted the driver, Alan Janael Flores, age 21, of Elmira, and after further investigation, he was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance, DUII, Driving While Suspended, Reckless Driving and a warrant. He was also cited for Failure to Maintain a Single Lane and Obstructed License Plate.

Police located the vehicle and contacted the subjects, George James Iverson, age 28, and Frank Jess Lopez Jr., age 26, and found information to arrest them for Possession of Heroin.
10/11/16 00:34, W 7TH AVE/GARFIELD STDUII/Reckless Driving – Case 16-17085A police officer on patrol was driving eastbound on Roosevelt Boulevard when he observed a vehicle traveling southbound at a high rate of speed on Hwy 99, drive through a red traffic light at the intersection. The officer conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle, and contacted the driver, Robert Alexander Blake, age 28, and arrested him for DUII and Reckless Driving. He was transported to the Lane County Jail.
10/10/2016 13:11, 2800 BLOCK OF WILLAKENZIE RDHinder Prosecution – Case 16-17060Police responded to the location regarding Nicholas Anthony Scalera, who had a warrant for arrest. When officers arrived at the residence, they contacted Kayla Rochelle Lahman, age 27, at the front door and received information that Scalera was not at the location. Police eventually arrested Scalera at the location on a warrant, and Lahman was arrested for Hindering Prosecution. Lahman had been contacted previously by police over the last couple months and warned about hiding a wanted felon. Both subjects were transported to the Lane County Jail on the charges.
10/10/16 06:17, 2000 BLOCK OF BEST LNRobbery 1 – Case 16-17023Police responded to a residence at the location regarding a robbery, and a suspect who left eastbound on foot following a physical dispute with the 53-year-old male victim. When police arrived, they received information that the victim observed the trunk to his vehicle open and an unknown subject wearing a jacket that was taken from his garage. The victim contacted the suspect regarding the incident, and a physical altercation ensued with both subjects on the ground in the driveway. During the altercation, the victim pulled his jacket from the suspect, and the suspect’s shirt also came off his person. The suspect subsequently threatened the victim while displaying a knife, and left the location without a shirt. Police located the described suspect, Donald Eugene Harvey, age 46, of Springfield, walking northbound on Finch Lane, shirtless, and contacted him regarding the incident. Police located several items belonging to the victim, concealed behind the shrubbery of a neighboring residence, and also located a knife that had been discarded in the area. Harvey was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Robbery in the First Degree, Burglary in the First Degree and three counts of Unauthorized Entry of a Motor Vehicle, which involved entry to the victim’s motorcycle bags and two cars.
10/10/16 06:16, 4000 BLOCK OF AERIAL WAYCriminal Trespass 1/Warrant – Case 16-17027Police responded to the location regarding a suspect who was observed entering an apartment residence, and was told to leave by the victim. Police located the suspect, John Michael Walters, age 43, of Eugene, in Mangan Park, and contacted him regarding the incident, and found that he had a warrant. He was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Criminal Trespass in the First Degree and a warrant.
10/09/16 22:30, 2620 W 10TH PLDUII, Hit and Run – Case 1617016A man, later identified as Charles David Johnson, age 38, of Kissimee, Florida, was reported to have locked himself out of his rental truck and called for a tow. The tow truck driver advised him not to drive. Johnson got into his vehicle and crashed two times into the tow truck and then drove to his hotel. The officer contacted him and after an investigation charged him with DUII, and Hit and Run.

One of the women, Jessica Dawn Blanton, age 24, had multiple warrants. When police arrived, they found Blanton leaving the location. An officer activated his emergency lights to stop Blanton and she ran into a nearby backyard. A K9 unit was called out and located Blanton several residences away hiding. She was taken into custody without incident. She was in possession of meth and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine 3-Failure to Comply and Possession of MDMA-Failure to Comply.
10/09/16 19:20, 4599 W 11TH AVE/BELTLINEDUII, Reckless Endangering, Reckless Driving – Case 1617011A public member called to report a Ford F150 at Beltline and Roosevelt that appeared unable to maintain lanes, and that then entered the Walmart parking lot and drove through spaces erratically. When the driver, later identified as Quinlen Bruce Kammeyer, age 24, of Lorane, got out, he was observed stumbling. Kammeyer was observed going into the store and then exiting. Kammeyer got back into his vehicle. An officer stopped the vehicle and after an investigation, charged the driver, with DUII, Reckless Endangering and Reckless Driving.

The officers contact two subjects, Dwayne Edward Bradley, age 51, and Sarah J. Fallingwater, age 40, of Eugene, to advise them about camping ordinances. The officers learned both had warrants and took them to Jail on the warrants.

He and a group nearby started talking politics and the 59-year-old used a homosexual slur against one the of women in the group. A man from the group, Thomas Gregory Capri, age 65, of Eugene, pushed the 59-year-old man off his chair. The 59-year-old man had been asked to leave several times, but refused. Capri was issued a citation in lieu of custody for Harassment.
10/09/16 09:36, 401 E 10TH AVEWarrant Arrest – 1616973An officer observed a vehicle turn without signaling. She performed a traffic stop and contacted the driver. The driver and passenger reached to the back seat as if hiding items. The driver was identified as Heidi Rosemarie Musalf, age 51, of Eugene, who had a warrant for Parole Violation for Delivery of Heroin, was taken into custody and was also cited with Driving While Suspended and Driving Uninsured. The passenger Jason Wilson, age 41, also had a warrant Burglary I and was taken into custody. There were two substances found in the vehicle but neither claimed ownership of them.

10/09/16 01:05, 899 E 14TH AVE/KINCAID STDUII, Hit and Run, Reckless Driving – Case 1616954An officer was sent to a crash where people were in a verbal dispute in a parking lot. The 24-year-old victim had parked her Nissan Rogue in a parking space and another woman, later identified as Aniahya Tenise Wynne, age 21, of Eugene, pulled her Kia Rio into the space next to hers and in the process scraped the driver’s side bumper and fender of the victim’s Nissan. Wynne was reported to have continued to drive forward, then reversed and pulled forward again. The driver of the Nissan attempted to exchange information and Wynne is reported to have become angry and proceeded to walk away. Wynne later returned and got into the vehicle and exited the parking lot without yielding to the posted stop sign, and later cut into oncoming traffic as she turned. An officer performed a traffic stop immediately and suspected impairment. After an investigation, Wynne was charged with DUII, Hit and Run and Reckless Driving, and cited for Failure to Obey a Stop Sign and Driving Uninsured.
10/09/16 01:39, 1290 OAK STAssault 4, Disorderly Conduct – Case 1616955Officers received a call regarding bouncers at Level Up Arcade holding down a man, later identified as Onur Unlu, age 31, of Portland. Unlu was reported to have been denied entry due to perceived intoxication and then returned and head-butted a 37-year-old male bouncer. Unlu is then reported to have punched a 25-year-old bouncer in the face when the bouncer tried to push Unlu back to the sidewalk away from the door. Officers arrived on scene and after an investigation, Unlu was arrested for Assault 4 and Disorderly Conduct.

A short time later, police contacted Aniahya Tenise Wynne, age 21, of Eugene, after she was observed leaving the parking lot onto 14th and failed to yield for the stop sign. He contacted the driver, Daniel Clay Hendrix, age 20, of Veneta, who had five passengers in the vehicle ranging in age from 17 to 21. The officer suspected impairment and after investigating, charged Hendrix with DUII, Reckless Endangering and Reckless Driving.
10/08/16 22:45, 433 BELTLINE WBDUII, Reckless Driving – Case 1616949An officer was sent to the area W. 11th Avenue and Bailey Hill Road regarding a possible DUII driver. A Mercedes sedan had been observed by a public member failing to maintain its lane and was reported to have nearly crashed into a guardrail, and driven over traffic cones. The officer spotted the vehicle eastbound on W. 11th near McKinley and observed it stopped at an intersection. When the traffic signal turned green the vehicle moved into the intersection then stopped in the middle of intersection for several seconds, then continued and failed to maintain its lane. The officer initiated a traffic stop, but the vehicle failed to yield and slowly continued northbound slowly. The vehicle eventually pulled over on W. 6th Ave west of Garfield St. Upon contract with the driver, Glenda Jean Howe, age 53, of Eugene, the officer called a medic unit as she was slumped in her seat and appeared lethargic. After being checked out, the officer suspected impairment and after an investigation arrested her for DUII. A drug recognition expert was called for further investigation and she was charged with DUII (narcotics analgesics) and Reckless Driving.10/08/16 at 15:15, 1500 Coburg RoadHarassment/Theft 3/WarrantPolice responded to Safeway regarding a shoplifter and received information that the suspect, David Donovan Rubio III, age 23, of Eugene, was contacted by an employee after he was observed exiting the store without paying for a beverage that he selected. After Rubio was brought back inside the store, he pushed the employee and attempted to leave. He was detained until police arrived and contacted him regarding the incident. He was arrested for Harassment, Theft in the Third Degree and a warrant. He was transported to the Lane County Jail on the charges.
10/08/16 at 15:12, 4325 Commerce StreetAssault – Case 16-16920Police responded to Eugene Westside Liquor regarding a physical dispute, and received information that the suspect, Julian Edward Reese, age 52, hit the employee in the face after he was told to leave, and was subsequently restrained by several subjects at the location. Police contacted Reese and arrested him for Assault and transported him to the Lane County Jail.
10/08/16 at 08:22, 3701 W. 11th AvenueDUII – Case 16-16905Police responded to Northwest Community Credit Union regarding a crash in the drive-thru area while the business was closed, and the area was under construction. Police received information that a 2007 Nissan Altima, driven by Michael Brickford Milbrat, Cottage Grove, pulled into the parking lot, struck an orange cone, swerved around a construction truck and attempted to drive the wrong way though the drive-thru. Construction employees yelled at Milbrat to stop, and he continued to drive onto large holes in the pavement caused by the construction. Milbrat subsequently backed up and the Nissan hit the front of the construction truck. Police contacted Mibrat and arrested him for DUII.
10/08/16 at 08:20, 2300 block of W. 11th AvenueUnlawful Use of a Weapon/Menacing/Criminal Trespass 2Police responded to Anytime Car Wash regarding a trespasser who threatened an employee at the location. Police received information that the suspect, Ivan Gomez Ibarra, age 39, of Eugene, became aggressive after being told to leave and swung a blunt metal object in the direction of the employee. The employee was eventually able to get Ibarra to leave, and he was located and contacted by police within a block of the car wash. He was arrested for Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Menacing and Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree. He was transported to the Lane County Jail.

The officer conducted a traffic stop and contacted the driver, Yuwei Huang, age 23, of Eugene. After further investigation, he was arrested for DUII and Reckless Driving.
10/07/16 01:14, 1999 W 6TH AVE/GARFIELD STDUII, Failure to Drive in a Single Lane –Case 1616833An officer observed a Dodge Durango on W. 6th Avenue near Washington Street and it was weaving in its lane, and drifted, failing to maintain its lane. The officer stopped the vehicle and contracted the driver, Christopher Wallace Bowes, age 37, of Elmira. The officer suspected impairment and after an investigation Bowes was charged with DUII, Failure to Drive in a Single Lane.
10/06/16 20:08, 929 W 6TH AVE/BLAIR BLVDWarrant – Case 1616823An officer had stopped a vehicle and the passenger, later identified as Nathan Michael Harrington, age 24, left on foot. He had two warrants (Theft 1 and Carry Concealed Weapon). Another officer spotted two males walking east, and both seemed interested in the traffic stop. One of these men appeared to be Harrington, which was confirmed after the officer contacted him. He was detained without incident on the warrants.

The suspect, David Carl Roberts, Jr., age 45, was in handcuffs when officers arrived and he was continuing to yell, curse and struggle. It was reported that Roberts had been sleeping on the bus and when security had tried to contact him, he was uncooperative and charged at the security officer. Roberts had previously been trespassed from the location. He was charged with Interfering with Public Transportation.

The officer contacted the man, later identified as Alexander Orion Bennett Levy, age 24. Bennett started to walk away, but the officer cut him off and instructed him to sit down. He complied and was cited in lieu of custody for Use of Marijuana in a Public Place.
10/06/16 02:45, 1600 OAK STPossession of Methamphetamine – Case 1616771An officer observed a man, later identified as Karl Wesley Tiller, age 57, of Eugene, lying in the covered entryway. When the officer tried to contact him, Tiller was difficult to awake. He was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine.
10/06/16 11:06, 632 BLAIR BLVDResisting Arrest, Criminal Trespass 2 – Case 1616788An officer was dispatched to Carniceria Mi Tierra in regard to trespass incidents involving the same man at 10:19 a.m. and 11:06 a.m. The suspect, Christopher Lloyd Porter, age 45, of Eugene had been told multiple times to leave the location due his behavior during a transaction when Porter became angry and began yelling and throwing items on the ground. He had refused to leave the location and police were called. When officers arrived, they tried to work with Porter to have him resolve his issue in civil court and to leave the location. Porter eventually left, but returned and the businesses called police. It took two officers to take Porter into custody safely as he began resisting. Porter was charged with Criminal Trespass 2 and Resisting Arrest.

The suspect, Dirk Jonathan Verhoest, age 26, was refusing to leave. The officer located Verhoest standing near the business’ front door. The business has reported Verhoest trespassing, refusing employee requests to leave, harassing employees, stealing tip jars and asking customers for change, at times following them to their vehicles. After an investigation, Verhoest was charged with Criminal Trespass 2.

A man, later identified as Brian David Zier, age 43, of Eugene, was handling the lights under the awning. When officers arrived, the man was gone, but bystanders pointed him out re-approaching the awning when he saw the patrol vehicles and quickly started leaving the area. Officers stopped him and found he had a Probation Violation warrant for PCS Methamphetamine. He was taken into custody on the warrant.
09/25/16 11:00, 200 DAY ISLAND RDReckless Burning – Case 1616060On September 25, officers were sent to Alton Baker Park regarding fires near the Knickerbocker bike/pedestrian bridge. A man, later identified as Douglas Brian Bennett, age 50, was reported to be setting fires but had left the area where he had been known to camp. The officers put out an attempt to locate. On October 6 at 4:15 a.m., officers were called to the Lane County Jail as Bennett had been lodged there on unrelated charges. After further investigation, Bennett was charged with Reckless Burning.
10/06/16 04:32, 2700 POLK STREETArson 1, Interfere with Making a Report, Harassment – 1616772An officer responded to a residence in the 2700 block of Polk regarding a physical dispute. One of the home’s occupants, Karen Jean Anderlie, age 40, was in a dispute with her 48-year-old female roommate and was reported to be starting a fire in the home. The line to 911 got disconnected and Eugene Springfield Fire responded to the home with its residential fire unit. Anderlie is reported to have lit the garage door on fire and a large flame ignited the home. Anderlie took the phone from the roommate, who was trying to speak with a 911 calltaker and then struck the roommate in the face. Police took Anderlie into custody after a minor struggle.
10/06/16 00:21, 1898 FRANKLIN BLVD/VILLARD STDUII, Failure to Yield to Emergency Vehicle – Case 1616769An officer driving on Coburg Road at Ferry Street Bridge spotted a Subaru wagon in front of him weaving in its lane and then it crossed over the fog line and also appeared to almost strike a median. The officer initiated a traffic stop and the driver, later identified as Conor Read Tracey, age 22, of Eugene, continued without stopped until Franklin and Villard. The officer contacted Tracey and suspected impairment. After an investigation Tracey was charged with DUII and Failure to Yield to Emergency Vehicle.
10/05/16 19:11, 4098 STEWART RD/S BERTELSEN RDDUII, Careless Driving – Case 1616757An officer responded to a call from the public about a possible intoxicated driver in a white business pickup truck. The truck’s driver was reported to have been in the vehicle near the Stewart Park Ponds and appeared intoxicated. When the vehicle left the parking lot it was reported to be failing to maintain a lane and then nearly crashed head on into a passing motorist. An officer responded and located the truck and pulled behind it. After it swerved and struck a curb, he initiated a traffic stop. Upon contact with the driver, Brian George Krueger, age 43, of Eugene, he suspected impairment. After an investigation, he charged Krueger with DUII and Careless Driving.
10/05/16 20:40, 741 LAWRENCE STPossession of Controlled Substance Methamphetamine, Warrant – Case 1616760An officer in the area observed Robert Lee Hingley, age 40, and another man sharing a bottle of beer in at the location, which had a trespass letter on file. Hingley appeared under the influence of a controlled substance. He had a warrant and was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. He was charged with PCS Methamphetamine and taken into custody on the warrant.
10/05/16 23:10, 1488 OAK STPOSSESS METHAMPHETAMINE – Case 1616764Officers on routine patrol observed a man, later identified as Loren Matthew Lacasse, age 46, of Springfield, trespassing at the location, which was closed for business. Lacasse appeared intoxicated on a controlled substance. He was in possession of methamphetamine. He was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine.
10/05/16 18:55, 299 E 11TH AVE/HIGH STDisorderly Conduct - 1616753 While on bike patrol, two officer observed a woman, later identified as Rosann Marie Olivera, age 32, in the road blocking a car. One of the officers had warned her earlier in the day regarding having an open container of alcohol. Olivera was blocking a Chevy sedan on High Street. The driver, age 24, had told her to move, then when he honked his horn, she sat down on his hood and when the driver put the vehicle into reverse slowly, Olivera fell into the roadway. Officers contacted both Olivera and the driver. There was no damage to the vehicle or Olivera. Olivera appeared intoxicated and was charged with Disorderly Conduct.

October 5 at 1:37 p.m., 2100 Escalante StreetPossession of Methamphetamine – Case 16-16740Police responded to a residence that is bank owned, and contacted two subjects who were at the location, Keenan Douglas Moore, age 22, of Springfield, and Shawn Matthew Freiberg, of Eugene. Both were arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine.
10/4/16 at 20:49, 101 W. 5th AVENUEInterfering With A Police Officer/Escape From Custody – Case 16-15496Brandi Lee Gonzales, age 19, of Eugene, was contacted by an officer after she presented herself at the Lane County Jail and was arrested for Interfering With A Police Officer and Disorderly Conduct. Gonzales was involved in an incident on September 15 that resulted in the lock-out of three schools in the Bailey Hill area. Police attempted to contact Gonzales at that time regarding a warrant for Identity Theft and Possession of Heroin, and she ran from the location with another individual, Colby Russell Jongeward, age 22, who also had a warrants for Resisting Arrest. Jongward was arrested on September 23 at 2:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of Acorn Park Street, where he had been found sleeping in a vehicle. He was charged with Interfering with Police, Escape from Custody (case 16-15940).
10/04/16 at 14:24, 2855 WILLAMETTE STWarrant– Case 1616687An officer investigating a report of harassment from earlier in the day was informed by two construction workers in the area that the two suspects were walking westbound near 28th Avenue. The officer attempted contact with the individuals. One, of the suspects, later identified as Daniel Justin Cole, age 43, of Eugene, got on his bicycle and began riding away, but officers ran to catch up and removed him from the bicycle. After investigating, they found Cole was found to have warrants and was charged with Failure to Appear Possession of Controlled Substance Methamphetamine and Failure to Appear for a Noise Disturbance.
10/04/16 07:25, 1100 BLOCK OF LINCOLN STCriminal Trespass 2 - Case 1616667An officer was dispatched to a doctor’s office regarding a trespasser who had been sleeping on the porch, after being told to leave several times. The suspect, Dustin Jon Alimossy, age 31, was behaving in such a way at to scare the office owners. And, there were also others sleeping on the porch. When police arrived, three men were packing up. Alimossy was cited for Criminal Trespass 2 and the other two men were warned.
10/04/16 02:50, 3600 BARGER DR/EMPIRE PARK DRDUII, Reckless Driving – Case 1616661Officers were dispatched to Barger Drive and Empire Park to investigate a single-vehicle crash into a fence. The vehicle, a Toyota Camry, had crashed into the foliage and a chain-link fence located at the northwest corner of Barger Dr. and Empire Park. The primary officer suspected impairment and conducted an investigation. Subsequently the driver, Edward Carnell Hughes, age 27, of Eugene, was charged with DUI, Reckless Driving, Operating Vehicle Without Driving Privileges, and Driving Uninsured.

The arriving officer observed the man, age 42, seated on a bike path. He appeared intoxicated and was unable to care for himself. He was taken to Buckley House for detox.
October 2 at 2:51 p.m., 2000 block of AmiranteUnlawful Use of Weapon. Menacing – Case 1616584An officer responded to a call of a man, age 38, who threatened another man, age 21, by displaying a handgun and making statements about harming him. There had been a dispute about the 21-year-old and the 21-year-old’s girlfriend staying at the former home of the suspect, Bryin James McKoefka, age 38, of Springfield. Dispatch advised the McKoefka had left the area. There was probable cause to arrest McKoefka and Springfield Police assisted by conducting a felony traffic stop in Springfield, taking McKofka into custody. He was charged with Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Menacing.
October 2 at 6:19 p.m., W. 18th and City ViewDUII, Reckless Endangering, Driving While Suspended – Case 1616587An officer who was dispatched to 18th and City View after reports of a possibly intoxicated driver, found the suspect’s Ford Ranger pulling out of a convenience store. The driver appeared to have difficulty operating the truck and at one point it was blocking the turn lane and the westbound lane of W. 18th Avenue. The officer stopped the truck and after an investigation, the driver, identified as Douglas Edwin House, age 50, of Eugene, was charged with DUII, Reckless Endangering, and Driving While Suspended.
October 2 at 9:56 p.m., 595 Hwy. 99NNoise Disturbance – Case 1616594An officer was sent to a dispute at Value Inn. He had already responded earlier in the night to the same location regarding Callie Irene Gorder, age 33, and a man in a dispute. At that time Gorder was yelling and reported to be hitting the man, and throwing beer cans in the parking lot. The manager wished Gorder to be trespassed as the yelling and screaming was causing a disturbance to other guests. Upon arrival to this earlier call, officers were unable to locate the pair. During the second call, the officer found the pair and the man advised police that he did not get hit and he appeared unhurt. The officer advised Gorder she was to be trespassed and offered the option of Buckley House for detox more than once. Gorder refused and was taken to jail for Noise Disturbance.
October 2 at 12:00 p.m., 1200 block of Jacobs DriveNon Criminal Hold – Case 1616571An officer responded after multiple reports about a disorderly subject. When he arrived, he found a man in his 30s standing in the roadway yelling. The officer approached and offered to take him to a hospital for treatment. He refused. The officer offered other resources and the man became more upset and started pacing. The officer kept his distance as the man flipped a canoe, which had been in the sidewalk. The man walked back in the roadway, and a vehicle had to stop and wait for him. He then walked in front of a driveway and blocked a car from entering the complex. The officer intervened for the man’s safety as his behavior put him at risk of being hit by vehicles. He was taken to the hospital.
September 30 at 5:27 a.m., Jefferson/W. 27thDUII, Criminal Mischief 2, Reckless Driving – Case 1616429An officer was dispatched to a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of W. 27th Ave. and Jefferson Street. People were reported to be running southbound from the vehicle. The officer located the vehicle, which had collided with a tree that was only several feet from the foundation of a 73-year-old man’s home. More than one bystander assisted police. Police located the suspected driver, who arrived back at the scene with his girlfriend. After an investigation, Samuel Harrison Wilson, age 22, of Eugene, was charged with DUI, Criminal Mischief 2, and Reckless Driving. The tree that had been hit was partially pulled out of the ground, and was touching several utility lines coming from the street to the house. EWEB responded and advised the lines to the home were not in immediate damage but the tree would need to be removed for safety reasons.
October 1 at 10:54 p.m., W. 8th/Lawrence StreetDUII – Case 16-16485Police contacted the driver of a 2004 Ford Ranger pickup, Jessica Nicole Abell, age 26, of Eugene, after she was observed crossing over the fog line on the right side of the road, and struck a construction cone. After further investigation, Abell was cited in lieu of custody for DUII.
October 1 at 5:15 a.m., 4300 block of Sean StreetCriminal Mischief 2/Criminal Trespass 2Police responded to a residence regarding a male subject who had attempted to gain access to a neighboring home. Police received information that the suspect, Felix GarciaCruz, age 30, was heard by residents at the front door. GarciaCruz then attempted to gain entry through the living room window and damaged the frame to the window screen in the process. Police contacted GarciaCruz outside the residence on the front lawn and arrested him for Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree and Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree. He was transported to the Lane County Jail.
October 1 at 1:48 a.m., W. Broadway/Olive StreetDUII – Case 16-16486Police on foot patrol in the area contacted the driver of a silver Lexus 300 after it was observed pulling into a parking space, and parking several feet away from the curb, partially blocking the lane of travel. Following further investigation, Matthew Ryan Lynn, age 36, of Eugene, was arrested for DUII.
September 30 at 11:31 p.m., E. 19th/Alder StreetDUII/Minor In Possession – Liquor – Case 16-16481Police observed a green Honda Element and contacted the driver, Tyler Jackson Smith, age 20, of Eugene, after the vehicle was observed turning north onto Alder Street, which is a one way street for southbound traffic. During contact with Smith, police found information to arrest him for DUII and Minor in Possession – Liquor.
September 30 at 9:37 p.m., 1080 Willamette StreetDisorderly Conduct/Criminal Trespass 2 – Case 16-16479Police responded to 1080 Willamette Street regarding a disorderly male subject who had been previously trespassed from the location. LTD employees attempted to contact Hobson Matthew Mason, age 36, at the station after receiving information that he had caused a disruption on an LTD bus. Police contacted Mason at the station and received information that he ran from employees, and spit at people in the area before being detained. He was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree.
September 30 at 6:30 p.m., 2300 block of W. BroadwayReckless Endangering/Theft in the Third Degree/DUII, Interfering With a Peace Officer/Kidnapping in the Second Degree/False Information to Police Officer/ Reckless Driving/Elude by Vehicle and Fugitive From Justice – Case 16-16534Police responded to Walmart on W. 11th Avenue regarding a shoplifter, who exited the store without attempting to pay for items placed on his person, and then drove eastbound in a 1998 Ford Contour. Police located the involved vehicle, and observed it turn left into the Les Schwab parking lot, and then continued to drive behind the store. The driver, Cooper Wade Eller, age 29, then exited the vehicle leaving an occupant in the vehicle, climbed over a fence and was eventually located by police. During contact with police, Eller provided false identifying information and was investigated for DUII. He was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Reckless Endangering, Theft in the Third Degree, DUII, Interfering With a Peace Officer, Kidnapping in the Second Degree, False Information to Police Officer, Reckless Driving, Elude by Vehicle and Fugitive From Justice.
September 30 at 1:12 p.m., 5300 Ed Cone Bvld./Own Loop SouthWarrant– Case 1616449Officers were sent to the location to address continued vehicle camping issues. During the call, they contacted a couple in an SUV. The female, later identified as Hannah Noelle Krom, age 23, was found to have warrants for two counts of Theft III x 2 (Junction City Municipal Court), and five additional Eugene Municipal Court warrants for DUII, two counts of Theft III, Theft II and Driving While Suspended. She was taken into custody on the warrants.
September 30 at 1:55 a.m., 1300 block of ParkCriminal Trespass 2 – Case 1616426A woman in her 40s reported a trespasser on her front porch. She reported a man she didn’t know had been on her property several nights recently and she had been telling him to leave without success and his behavior was odd. Police responded and found the suspect, Andrew Forest Ward, age 19, a short distance away. He was arrested without incident for Criminal Trespass 2.
September 30 at 3:31 a.m., Green Lane/W. Lone Oak LoopDetox – Case 1616428An officer was called to respond to a man face down in the roadway making cat noises. When the officer arrived, he found the man, who is in his 30s, having trouble standing. He reported being intoxicated on heroin. He was taken to Buckley House for detox.
September 30 at 1:01 a.m., 291 W. 8th AvenuePossession of Meth, Warrant – Case 1616423An officer on routine patrol spotted three people behind WOW Hall on the back deck. The business was closed. As he pulled up, he noted two of the individuals, Joshua Orin Tonkin, age 28, and Katelyn Marie Faye Glass, age 23, making furtive movements to conceal an item. He investigated and found that they were both in possession of methamphetamine. Tonkin also had a warrant out of Municipal Court for Failure to Appear on Criminal Mischief III.
September 29 at 8:23 p.m., W. 15th AvenueNon-criminal Hold – Case 1616415At 3 p.m., an apartment manager called regarding a disorderly woman in her 50s. The woman had exited her apartment and yelled at maintenance workers, and tenants began to call the manager to report this. An officer contacted the woman. During the contact, the woman’s daughter requested police call CAHOOTS to respond, and police called dispatch to request CAHOOTS. After CAHOOTS arrived, the officers left. However, later at 8:23 p.m., officers were called back to the residence by CAHOOTS as the woman had run through the apartment complex and was in the middle of traffic. She sat in the middle of the road as a vehicle entered the apartment complex, refusing to move. She was taken to a hospital.
