[ARCHIVED] Acting Traffic Engineer Recognized for Leadership Excellence

Matt Rodrigues

Add another achievement to an already impressive list of accomplishments. Acting Traffic Engineer Matt Rodrigues was awarded the Public Works Manager credential from the American Public Works Association (APWA).

The APWA credentialing program provides leadership training for public works professionals. As part of the rigorous process, Rodrigues developed a project focused on emergency debris management planning. His research will help Eugene recover from a natural disaster.

APWA will recognize Rodrigues during its national conference later this month in Minnesota. Rodrigues will also be traveling to Sweden in September where he will conduct a study related to Sweden’s implementation of Vision Zero, an initiative to eliminate transportation-related fatalities and serious injuries.
