August 31 at 6:30 p.m., 500 block of E. 11th Avenue
Disorderly Conduct – Case 16-14618
Police responded to the area regarding a disorderly male subject. Police received information that the subject, Michael William Schemmer, age 52, of Eugene, was observed damaging a fence, yelling at people and throwing rocks. Police contacted Schemmer and arrested him for Disorderly Conduct. He was transported to the Lane County Jail.

August 31 at 1:10 p.m., 358 Blair Boulevard
Criminal Mischief 2/Criminal Trespass 2 – 16-14603
Police responded to Blair Boulevard regarding a disorderly female subject who was told several times to leave and refused. Police received information that the subject Amberlee Pyle, age 38, of Eugene, was then found to be in possession of an ornament that had been removed from a table, and after the employee asked for it back, Pyle eventually threw it to the ground causing it to break. Pyle subsequently left the business before police arrived and was located at Scobert Park. She was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree and Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree.

August 31 at 12:46 p.m., 75 Division Avenue
Theft 3 – Case 16-14605
Police responded to the Goodwill at the location regarding a shoplifter who was observed concealing a clothing item on his person and leaving the store without paying for the property. Police contacted the suspect Shawn Lee Scott Resler, age 41, of Creswell, at the store, and cited him for Theft in the Third Degree.

August 31 at 12:06 a.m., 1180 W. 4th Avenue
Interfering With Police Officer – 16-14586
Police were patrolling the area of Scobert Gardens and observed a male subject who was in the park after hours on top of a playground structure. The subject climbed down from the structure, and when the officer attempted to contact him, he ran north, and disregarded direction from the officer to stop. The subject, Chad Mathew Enos, age 45, eventually stopped on the north side of W. 4th Avenue and was cited in lieu of custody for Violation of Park Rules and Interfering With a Police Officer.

August 30 at 5:40 p.m., 99 E. Broadway
Robbery 2/Disorderly Conduct 2/Criminal Trespass 2 – Case 16-14575
Police responded to the Wells Fargo bank regarding information of a disorderly subject with an airsoft gun, and contacted the subject, Brett Stone Tschetter, age 23, of Eugene. Police received information that Tschetter had displayed the gun and demanded money from an employee, before leaving the location. Tschetter then returned to the location, refused to leave, and slapped his hands on the counter. When police arrived, they observed Tschetter inside the location and contacted him regarding the incident, and found him in possession of the gun, which officers confirmed was an airsoft gun after further investigation, with features similar to a real handgun. He was arrested for Robbery in the Second Degree, Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree and Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree. He was transported to the Lane County Jail.

August 30 at 1:50 p.m., River Road/Knoop Lane
Driving While Suspended/Reckless Driving – Case 16-14560
Police responded to the area regarding a 2001 Ford Focus that crashed into multiple cars parked in the Bell Real Estate parking lot. Police received information that the passenger of the vehicle, Anthonee Waine Burdick, age 39, pulled the emergency brake of the Ford Focus as it was approaching the intersection, and the driver subsequently lost control of the vehicle and crashed. Police contacted Burdick and cited him in lieu of custody for Reckless Driving and Driving While Suspended, for his operation of the vehicle before the crash.

August 30 at 12:17 p.m., 240 Washington Street
Assault/Escape From Custody/Warrant – Case 16-14540
A police officer was attempting to contact Tyler Lee Endicott, age 22, of Eugene, in Washington Jefferson Park, regarding warrants, when he rode away from the officer on his bike and failed to follow direction from the officer to stop. Endicott then rode his bike into the parking lot east of Washington Street, and directly into a 32-year-old female subject, causing her to fall. A male subject who was with the female was able to keep Endicott from riding away, until police were able to apprehend him and contact him regarding the incident. He was arrested on three warrants, Escape From Custody and Assault, and transported to the Lane County Jail.

August 29 at 5:21 p.m., 849 W. 6th Avenue
Theft 3/Disorderly Conduct – Case 16-14507
Police responded to Brun’s Apple Market and received information that a male subject ran from the store without attempting to pay for a food item. Employees followed the suspect, Justin Igor Rosenbaum, age 26, and after catching up to him, he attempted to hit one of them, missed, and fell to the ground. Police contacted Rosenbaum at the market and arrested him for Theft in the Third Degree and Disorderly Conduct. He was transported to the Lane County Jail.

August 29 at 4:58, Beltline Eastbound Onramp/Rive Road
Reckless Burning/Warrant – Case 16-14506
Police responded to the area to assist Eugene Springfield Fire, and observed flames that were several feet in the air, in an area of dry brush and grass. Police were directed toward a male subject who was nearby and contacted him regarding the fire. Police received information that the subject, Shane Wesley Rodrigues, age 37, of Eugene, was unable to extinguish the fire after it was lit and found information to arrest him for Reckless Burning. It was also found that Rodrigues had two warrants for arrest. He was arrested on the charges and transported to the Lane County Jail.

August 29 at 3:23 a.m., 900 block of W. Broadway Alley
Noise Disturbance – 16-14470
Police responded to an apartment at the location multiple times regarding loud noise, and the second time returning to the location, contacted the resident, Christopher Sayre Verner, age 34, after hearing loud laughing and stomping from inside the location. Verner was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Noise Disturbance.

August 28 at 10:58 p.m., 2200 W. 6th Avenue
Harassment/Theft 3/Tamper With Physical Evidence – Case 16-14417
Police responded to Coastal Farm and Home Supply regarding a male shoplifter who charged at a female employee and pushed her, causing her to fall to the ground. When police arrived, the officer contacted the suspect near the back of the store. Police received information that the suspect, Nathan Selby Adams, age 41, of Eugene, was observed with a clothing item concealed on his person. When Selby was contacted by an employee regarding the item, he attempted to dispose of the item and leave the store, and subsequently knocked over the 25-year-old female employee. Selby was arrested for Harassment, Theft in the Third Degree and Tampering With Physical Evidence.

August 27 at 12:57 a.m., E. 18th Ave/Patterson Street
DUII/Reckless Driving – Case 16-1614346
A police officer conducted a traffic stop of a 2003 black Ford Focus after he observed the vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and crossing over the white fog line. The officer contacted the driver, Kylee Christopher Wong, age 30, of Eugene, and after further investigation, arrested him and transported him to the Lane County Jail for DUII and Reckless Driving. Wong was also cited for Driving Uninsured.

August 26 at 9:18 p.m., 1795 W. 6th Avenue
Assault 2 – Case 16-14335
An officer responded to the Duck Inn bar regarding an employee who had been assaulted by a customer. Police received information that the employee contacted the male subject regarding his well-being after he was observed banging a phone on the table. The subject, Jon Justin Mundell, age 42, of Eugene, subsequently hit the 39-year-old victim in the head, and he fell to the ground. Police located Mundell at the Wetlands bar a short time later and contacted him regarding the incident. He was arrested for Assault in the Second Degree and transported to the Lane County Jail.

August 26 at 4:26 p.m., 240 Washington Street
Interfering With Police Officer/Violation of Park Rules/Warrant – Case 16-14313
Police officers patrolling the area, observed a female subject lying in the grass with a large amount of items discarded in the grass. When police attempted to contact the subject, Bethanie Anne Short, age 26, of Eugene, she walked away and disregarded the officer’s direction for her to stop, and subsequently ran. She was eventually contacted by police and arrested on a warrant and transported to the Lane County Jail. Short was issued a citation for Violation of Park Rules and Interfering With a Police Officer.

August 26 at 12:11 p.m., 55 W. Broadway
Criminal Mischief 1 – Case 16-14285
Police responded to the Red Wagon Creamery and received information that a male subject had caused damage to a 2016 Yamaha XSR900. When police arrived the officer observed that the motorcycle had been damaged in several areas including the lights, wiring, and appearance. Police contacted the described subject, Michael William Schemmer, age 52, of Eugene, who was in the area, and arrested him for Criminal Mischief in the First Degree. He was transported to the Lane County Jail.

August 26 at 1:37 a.m., 321 W. Broadway
False Info to Police, Warrants – Case 1614280
An officer was called to 361 W. Broadway after a report from the public that a man was looking into parked cars and trash cans in the rear parking lot of the business. The officer arrived and found the man, later identified as Robert Lee Hingley, age 40. He provided the officer a false name when contacted. The officer was able to determine that was not Hingley’s real name and that Hingley had three warrants. He was taken into custody on the warrants and charged also with False Info to Police.

August 26 at 12:26 a.m., E. 7th Avenue/High Street
Carry Concealed Weapon, Possession of Heroin – Case 1614278
An officer was driving on 7th near Willamette and a man in a Honda Civic passed him. The driver was on a cell phone. He stopped the man, later identified as Brandon Scott Nelson, age 27, of Eugene. As the officer was speaking with Nelson, Nelson was reaching near his legs and near the seat. For safety, the officer got him out of the car and, after investigating, found that Nelson was in possession of heroin and was carrying a concealed knife. He was charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Possession of Heroin.

August 25 at 9:44 p.m., Marshall Avenue/Ellsworth Street
DUII, Reckless Driving, Warrant – Case 1614275
A call came in from the public about a Ford pickup truck that was on Hwy. 99 southbound and failing to maintain its lane, almost driving into a ditch and almost crashing against other motorists. Officers responded, located the truck and performed a traffic stop. After an investigation, the driver, Jose Santiago Martinez, age 40, of Eugene, was charged with DUI, Reckless Driving, Driving without Valid Driving Privileges, and Driving Uninsured. The officer was informed by the jail that Santiago Martinez was also known as Ricardo Ramirez-Gutierrez, and that he had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant out of the Washington County Circuit Court for failure to appear in a Failure to Carry or Present license charge.

August 25 at 11:13 p.m., E. 12th Avenue/High Street
Possession of Heroin – Case 1614277
An officer was on routine patrol and saw a man, later identified as Joseph Carleton Middleton, age 67, of Eugene, reclining on an easement between High Street and the sidewalk. He appeared to be preparing to inject heroin. The officer ordered him to stop. After investigating, he was found to be in possession of heroin and was charged with Possession of Heroin.

August 25 at 6:47 p.m., 1500 Block of Buck Street
Criminal Trespass 2, Prohibited Nudity, Warrant – Case 1614266
An officer was dispatched to respond to report of a disorderly man who was trying to get into a residence. The owner told the suspect, later identified as Russell Todd Hess, age 55, to leave the property but Hess, refused and banged on the door and tried the door handle After this, Hess is reported to have gotten on the roof of the residence and he was nude. The roof is visible to residences across the street and he was in clear view of several individuals including children. He fell through a plastic pane in the roof. Officer requested medics to evaluate him. He was charged with Criminal Trespass 2, Prohibited Nudity and a warrant for Criminal Trespass 2 Failure to Appear. Hess was transported to a hospital for evaluation and then released to the jail.

August 25 at 9:21 p.m., 457 W. 8th Avenue
Mental Hold – Case 1614273
An officer on bike patrol observed a 30-year-old man sitting in the middle of the alley looking confused and disoriented. He contacted the man and found that he was incoherent and unable to care for himself. CAHOOTS was called, but they were on another call and unable to respond. The officers tried to identify who he was and the man indicated he wished to go to the hospital. The officers on the call took him into custody, and during this the man tried to kick an officer in the groin and appeared to try a head-butt. Officers were not injured and were able to successfully and safely transport the man to the hospital for treatment.

August 25 at 9:59 p.m., 330 W. 7th Avenue
Warrant – Case 1614274
An officer spotted Crystal Rose Young, age 30, sitting behind the Jackson’s Foot store with her 37-year-old boyfriend. He knew she had arrest warrants and that there was probable cause to arrest for her Possession of a Controlled Substance Heroin, Possession of a Controlled Substance Methamphetamine, Providing False Information to Police and Identify Theft in relation to another case (1611712). He contacted her and she attempted to walk away toward her boyfriend. She yelled and pulled away as she was placed in handcuffs. The boyfriend ignored the officer’s repeated instructions for him to stay back and later warned him that his actions could have resulted in a charge of Interfering with a Peace Officer. He was allowed to leave. Young was lodged at the jail on her warrants and the probable cause charged related to case 1611712. In the last case, on July 15 at 820 Oak Street around 11:08 p.m., officers was doing a patrol check of the Park Blocks and saw a man and a woman in the middle of the park near the awning. The park was closed and so the officers contacted them. The man was allowed the leave and the woman was crying and appeared distraught. She had given her name to officers as Amber Jensen, age 25, but later it was determined she had provided a false name and it was Crystal Rose Young. She had been in possession of meth and heroin.

August 25 at 6:22 p.m., 800 Block of Waverly
Burglary 1 – Case 1614265
A 43-year-old man returned home after being at work all day. He was planning to take his family on a trip during the weekend in their motorhome. He was checking on the motorhome and found a man he didn’t know, later identified as Sean Michael Kinch, age 26, inside the motorhome, passed out on the bed. The motorhome was in disarray with trash and items scattered throughout. The victim yelled at Kinch and finally was able to awaken him. Officers arrived and found that Kinch had a warrant for Theft 3 Failure to Appear. He was cooperative and charged with Burglary 1.

August 25 at 7:48 p.m., 1045 Maxwell Road
Assault 2 and Reckless Endangering – Case 1614270
An officer was dispatched to the Community Market located at 1045 Maxwell Rd regarding an assault with injury that had just occurred. The female suspect was not on scene. He contacted the 44-year-old female victim. During the investigation the officer found that the victim and her 20-year-old neighbor, Maria Shawn Vancleave, had been in arguments in the past. After an argument on August 25, the victim walked to the Community Market. It was reported that Vancleave followed her and grabbed hold or her hair from behind, then punched her and slammed her head into a sign pole. The victim called police from the market. Officers located Vancleave and she was charged with Assault II and Reckless Endangering.

Robbery 3 – Case 1614243
Hirons Drug Store called about a shoplifter fighting with security. An officer responded to find Sarah Michaelle Collins, age 39, detained in handcuffs. Security reported that she had taken merchandise without paying. When security contacted her, she agreed to come back in, but then resisted being detained and began to fight. A security officer received non-life-threatening injuries. Collins was charged with Robbery 3.

August 25 at 5:14 p.m., 215 Cheshire Avenue
Criminal Trespass 2 – Case 1614259
Two officers were checking Skinner Butte Park near 19 Tables and observed a man later identified as Jordan Ryan Ausmus-Lovell, age 25, lying next to a propane tank with torch attachment and multiple glass pipes. He was using this for glass blowing. He was advised to use care due to the dry vegetation and informed of the park rule related to having a fire in Skinner Butte Park. Ausmus-Lovell had a Park Restriction until 6-7-17. He was charged with Criminal Trespass 2 and issued a new, one-year Park Restriction until 8-25-17.

August 25 at 1:17 p.m., 290 E. 17th Avenue
Criminal Trespass 2 – Case 1614246
Police received a call about a suspicious subject, later identified as Chad Everett Basurto, age 38, who was reported to have left drug paraphernalia in an office’s bathroom. The office’s clientele includes families and children. An officer contacted Basurto and after an investigation he was charged with Criminal Trespass 2.

August 25 at 1:22 a.m., 100 block of Club Road
Delivery Heroin/DUII/Tamper With Evidence – Case 16-14234
Police contacted the driver of a green 2000 Ford Taurus after observing it faced in the opposite direction of traffic at Cedar Wood and Club Road, and stopped the vehicle after it proceeded through the intersection. During contact with the driver, William Taylor Webb, age 59, of Eugene, police found information to arrest him for Delivery Heroin, DUII, Reckless Driving and Tampering With Evidence, which was added to his charges during the investigation. He was transported to the Lane County Jail.

August 25 at 12:53 a.m., 145 E. 18th Avenue
Reckless Burning/Illegal Burning – Case 16-14231
Police responded to the area after receiving information that a male subject was observed setting fire outside Safeway and to the brush near Les Schwab Tire Center, before his actions were interrupted by a bystander. Police contacted the suspect, Paul Joseph Anghilante, age 48, and arrested him for Reckless Burning and Illegal Burning.

August 25 at 12:41 a.m., W. 6th Alley/Blair Boulevard
Driving While Suspended – Case 16-14230
A police officer on bike contacted a male subject in a parked vehicle regarding loud music. The officer advised the subject, Chad Mathew Enos, age 45, of Mapleton, not to drive, following information of a suspended license. The officer observed Enos driving the vehicle a short time later and conducted a traffic stop, and arrested him for Driving While Suspended. Enos received an additional charge of Driving While Suspended after police received information that he drove to the location.

Possession of Methamphetamine – Case 16-14229
An officer contacted Clarence Neal, age 31, of Ceres California, after observing him in an area marked with a No Trespassing sign. During contact with Neal, police found information to cite him for Possession of Methamphetamine.

NOTE: According to our Computer Aided Dispatch system, there have been 474 cases so far this year (50 in August), that have included a charge for Possession of Methamphetamines. In 2015, there was a total of 562 cases that included a charge for Possession of Methamphetamines.

August 25 at 12:13 a.m., W. 11th Avenue/Polk Street
DUII – Case 16-14228
A police officer was conducting traffic enforcement in the area contacted the driver of a 2004 silver Ford Explorer after it was observing traveling westbound on W. 11th at a high rate of speed. After further investigation, the driver Joshua Lee Cook, age 27, of Eugene, was arrested for DUII and transported to the Lane County Jail. Cook also received a citation for Violation of Designated Speed, Driving While Suspended and Driving Uninsured.

August 24 at 11:20 p.m., 200 block of E. 11th Avenue
Possession of Methamphetamine – Case 16-14221
An officer on bike patrol contacted a male subject, Zachary Taylor Alderfer, age 21, of Eugene, who was observed in a No Trespass area, and found information to cite him for Possession of Methamphetamine.

August 24 at 11:08 p.m., 700 block of W. 7th
Use of Marijuana in a Public Place – Case 16-14220
A police officer on bike patrol contacted Andrew Alton Todard, age 44, of Eugene, after observing him at the location, and cited him for Public Use of Marijuana.

Possession of Methamphetamines – Case 16-14219
An officer on patrol contacted Allen Clayton Townsend, age 28, after he was observed in a No Trespass area and found information to cite him for Possession of Methamphetamine.

August 24 at 10:22 p.m., 600 block of Madison Street
Possession of Methamphetamine – Case 16-14217
A police officer patrolling the area on bike contacted Randy Paul Miles, age 54, of Eugene, after observing him with methamphetamine paraphernalia, and cited him for Possession of Methamphetamine.

August 24 at 7:26 p.m., Charnelton Street/W. Broadway Avenue
Interfering With Police Officer/Criminal Mischief 3/Resisting Arrest – Case 16-14212
A police officer in the area contacted a male subject who was observed urinating on the wall of a building next to a sidewalk, and visible to pedestrian and vehicle traffic. During contact with the officer, the male subject, Steven Everette O’Neal Jr., age 31, of Eugene, refused to follow direction and walked away from the officer after being told to stop. O’Neal continued to disregard direction from the officer and verbally challenged the officer. The officer attempted to detain O’Neal and he resisted and struggled with the officer. He was eventually arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Interfering With a Police Officer, Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, Resisting Arrest and Urinating in Public. The officer and O’Neal both received injuries to the face during the struggle and medics evaluated O’Neal at the scene.

August 24 at 4:40 p.m., 855 Seneca Road
Disorderly Conduct – Case 1614200
Police received a report of a man menacing people with a machete at Goodwill. When officers arrived, people pointed out the suspect, who was fleeing from the area. An officer stopped the suspect, Kevin John Purkersen, age 51, and took him into custody. An investigation found that Purkersen had taken a man’s bicycle. A crowd gathered and the victim was able to persuade Purkersen to give the bike back. Purkersen became verbally hostile, but he was far enough away that on one was in immediate danger. No weapon was found. Purkersen was charged with disorderly conduct.

August 24 at 3:56 p.m., 800 block of Grant
Burglary 2 – Case 1613710
On August 17, an officer responded to Oregon Ice Cream after a theft. The company reported that on August 16, a suspect, later identified as Bradley Clifford Carney, age 39, climbed into the property over a fence, got inside the building, ate ice cream and stole some items. The officer followed up and found that Carney had temporarily worked for the company. He located Carney and charged him with Burglary 2.

August 24 at 3:03 p.m., 755 E. Broadway
Warrant – Case 1614194
An officer found a trespasser in a vacant field near 755 E. Broadway. During the contact, he found the man, David Alan Ingle, age 48, of Eugene, had a warrant for his arrest on charges of Burglary 1 – Transitional Leave Escape out of Santiam Correctional Facility. He was taken into custody without incident on the warrant.

August 24 at 2:46 p.m., 1080 Willamette Street
Warrant – Case 1614187
An officer responded to the location where security had detained Amber Danielle Morgan, age 35, for a theft of a bike that had occurred previously. She also had a warrant for Theft 2 and Disorderly Conduct. The officer took Morgan into custody and placed her in the patrol car. Morgan began banging her head on the plastic seat. Another officer restrained her to prevent her from injuring herself. She began kicking upon arrival at the jail and had to be carried inside. She was subsequently taken to a hospital for treatment and cited in lieu of custody for her warrants.

August 24 at 1:19 P.M., 1300 Bethel Drive
Warrant, Criminal Trespass – Case 1614204
A call came in regarding up to 10 people cutting a fence at the rear of a business and setting up a camp on the property. The business wished the individuals to be trespassed. An officer arrived and found a hole cut in the fence near the Union Pacific Railroad tracks and there were some tents set up. He contacted a woman there, Isabel Gutierrez, age 46, of Eugene. Gutierrez was warned she was trespassing and that the others were trespassing and all would be charged with Criminal Trespass if they were not gone when officers checked back later to ensure they were not on the property. The officer did go back. While there, he contacted Nicole Linda Caren Sontag, age 36. She had a warrant for Theft 3 Failure to Appear. She was charged with Criminal Trespass 2, as was Gutierrez.

August 24 at 9:22 a.m., W. Broadway and Willamette
Disorderly Conduct – Case 1614147
There were two separate calls regarding a man who was blocking traffic and yelling profanities at pedestrians and vehicles near Starbucks. Police arrived and found the suspect, later identified as Brett Stone Tschetter, age 23, of Eugene, yelling. He was arrested and continued being verbally hostile, threatening to kill the officer and continuing to scream at Starbucks. He had an outstanding warrant for Failure to Appear Disorderly Conduct out of Josephine County Sheriff’s Office. He was taken into custody on the warrant and also charged with Disorderly Conduct for the incident at W. Broadway and Willamette.

August 24 at 1:40 a.m. Arrest – occurred on August 17 at 3:18 a.m., 390 Coburg Road
Burglary 2 – Case 1613712
A cell phone business reported a burglary of merchandise at the location. The suspects damaged the building and items within the story during entry. Property Crimes Detectives followed up and after an investigation arrested two men on August 24 around 1:40 a.m.: Jonathan Daniel Holmes, age 38, was charged with Burglary 2, Theft 1, and Criminal Mischief 2. Woody Wade Taylor, Jr.. Taylor, Jr., was charged with Burglary 2 and Theft 1. Taylor is a repeat property crime offender who has previously served both federal and state prison time.

August 24 at 12:35 a.m., 910 Willamette Street
Prohibited Nudity – Case 1614138
Employees at Sizzle Pie called when a woman, later identified as Kristen June Krenbeh, age 32, of San Diego, was trespassed but was refusing to leave. Krenbeh left prior to police arrival. She was then reported to have pulled down her pants and exposed her backside and genitalia to customers. She was charged with Prohibited Nudity.

August 23 at 11:45 p.m., N. Danebo/Roosevelt
Mental Hold – Case 1614133
An officer was dispatched to a suicidal subject, who has been the subject of 19 calls so far this month, with several being mental holds. The man, in his early 50s, was threatening to cut himself with a piece of glass. When the officer arrived, the man was covered in blood. The man was refusing to get on the ground, but was eventually taken safely into custody after the officer displayed a taser. CAHOOTS arrived and provided care to the cuts, then transported him to a local hospital.


August 22 at 3:06 a.m., Hwy 99 N.
Mental Hold – Case 1614010
A man in his 50s left a local bar and rode his bicycle north bound on Hwy. 99 near Irving in an attempt to commit suicide in the oncoming traffic. Officers responded and took him to a local hospital for mental health treatment.

August 22 at 1:01 a.m., 2100 block of Devos

Officers were called to respond to a dispute between two women. The dispute was verbal, then turned physical as one of the women, Vanessa Renee Carlson, age 24, of Eugene, grabbed the 22-year-old female victim’s hair, threw an object and hit the victim in the mouth. A man who was present separated them. Carlson was arrested for Assault 2.

Mental Hold – Case 1613994
Two CAHOOTS workers observed a man in his 70s run out into traffic and nearly get struck. An officer was flagged down by motorists and pedestrians as he was responding, who reported the man appeared to be suicidal and attempting to get run over. The officer located him and he was sitting in the passenger’s side of his family’s vehicle. He was verbally hostile and began striking the windshield, cracking it, and then began kicking the window. Multiple officers were able to take him into custody and to a local hospital for mental health treatment.

DUI, Driving without Valid Driving Privileges, Driving Uninsured – Case 1613959
A caller reported a potential DUI driver leaving a bar. An officer located it speeding and swerving as it entered the eastbound I-105 on-ramp toward Springfield. She stopped the vehicle and upon contacting the driver, Jerry Chizoba Anyichukwu, age 36, of Springfield, suspected impairment. After an investigation he was charged with DUI, Driving without Valid Driving Privileges, Driving Uninsured.

Animal Neglect 2 – Case 1613989
A shopper reported to security at approximately 1350 that a small dog was locked inside a vehicle in the parking lot of Valley River, in direct sunlight and with no access to water. It was 85 degrees out. The dog was panting and breathing heavily. EPD was called and an officer arrived. He tried to get contact information for the registered owner of the vehicle, but there was no phone number available. There was no way to broadcast to customers in order to reach the owner. An officer worked with security officers to get the dog out. The vehicle’s owner, Ana Maria Coriaguillen, age 48, of Salem, returned to her vehicle at about 2:34 p.m. Coriaguillen was charged with Animal Neglect 2.

DUI, Hit and Run, Reckless Driving – Case 1613964
Officers were dispatched to locate a hit and run suspect at 20th and Willamette. A road sign had been struck by a vehicle and an officer had spotted a red, Dodge Dakota pickup with fresh damage and broken headlight in the area. He searched for it and found it in the 2900 block of Willamette. The damage to the vehicle was consistent with the damage at the crash scene. Contact was made with the driver, Rene Aguilar Contreras, age 36, of Eugene. After an investigation, Contreras was charged with DUI, Hit and Run, and Reckless Driving.

DUI – Case 1613962
An officer was standing in front of a restaurant near W. Broadway and saw a man walk to a vehicle parked in front of the restaurant. He appeared to have trouble with his keys and that got the officer’s attention. The officer followed the vehicle and observed that it was travelling faster than the posted speed, and then crossed over a dividing line. The officer stopped the vehicle, driven by Niels Pasternak, age 35, of Eugene. After an investigation, he was charged with DUI.

Mental Hold – Case 1613946
An officer was dispatched to a physical dispute between a man in his 20s and a woman. The pair separated before a bystander could break them up. The involved male, who was extremely intoxicated, walked into the lanes of travel on W. 7th Avenue and the bystander feared for his safety and helped him out of the roadway. The officer arrived and the man, was unable to walk without assistance. After multiple attempts to identify him, the officer determined he was not able to care for himself and he was taken to a local hospital, where he became disorderly and had to be restrained.

DUI, Driving While Suspended, Open Container – Case 1613947
An officer on patrol observed a vehicle at a bar and he knew the driver, Matthew John Edwards, age 36, of Eugene, was suspended for prior DUIs. Edwards left the bar and got into his vehicle and the officer performed a traffic stop. The officer suspected impairment upon contact and conducted an investigation, during which he also found two open containers of alcohol in the vehicle. Edwards was charged with DUI, Driving While Suspended, and Open Container.

DUI (alcohol and Cannabis), Driving Uninsured, Fail to Renew Vehicle Registration – Case 1613915
An officer conducted a traffic stop after he observed a vehicle going eastbound on 7th Avenue and swerving in its lane. Upon contact with the driver, Mark Alan Brown, age 28, of Springfield, he suspected impairment and conducted an investigation. He was charged with DUI, Driving Uninsured and Failure to Renew Vehicle Registration.

DUI – Case 1613912
An officer spotted a gray Ford Fusion at 7th and Willamette with its hazard lights on. It turned onto 7th Avenue with the lights still flashing. The officer stopped the vehicle and suspected the driver, Michael Ray Hoover, age 38, of Eugene, of impairment. After an investigation he was charged with DUI.

DUI – Case 1613909
An officer was dispatched to a dispute and while investigating the dispute, contacted Jasmine Monique Moreno, of Eugene, who was visibly intoxicated. Moreno was reported to have driven to the location and also was a suspended driver. However, officers had not observed this. After the dispute investigation was completed, officers left the scene. Moreno got into her vehicle and drove it around the corner and parked it blocking a driveway. The officer contacted her and after an investigation, she was charged with DUI and Driving While Suspended.

Possession of Meth, Driving While Suspended – Case 1613775
An officer saw a Honda Accord pull out from behind the closed S&M Gun shop. Concerned about burglary, he turned and followed the vehicle until it pulled into a driveway. The officer didn’t activate his lights, but approached the three individuals, who had gotten out, to ask if they lived at the house. The resident opened a window and said they did not. The officer detained the three individuals. The driver, Christopher Ray Hass, age 29, of Eugene, was found to have a suspended driver’s license. One passenger, Gregory James Scott, age 54, was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Hass was issued a citation for Driving While Suspended and Scott was issued a citation for Possession of Methamphetamine.

Theft 1, six counts of ID Theft, four counts of Theft 2, and Attempt to Commit a Crime – Case 1611505
A 75-year-old woman was sleeping at her Greenacres home, when an unknown suspect gained access and stole cash and a personal documents and various items. The suspect used the victim’s credit cards at local stores. A detective worked the case and found probable cause to arrest Virginia Woodard, age 27, of Harrisburg. She also had a warrant for arrest for Failure to Appear on Unauthorized Use of Vehicle and Theft charges. The detective arrested Woodard on August 17 at 9:45 p.m.. in the 1600 block of Coburg Road, and she was charged with six counts of ID Theft, three counts of Theft in the Second Degree, and warrants for Unauthorized Use of Vehicle Failure to Appear and Theft 1 Failure to Appear.

Reckless Driving, Driving While Suspended – Case 1613770
Officers were called after a single-car crash into a ditch. The Toyota Scion sports car had driven through a street sign, sheering a post, and down an embankment. The driver, Jordan Christian Betschart, age 18, of Eugene, was driving south and lost control of his car after a sharp curve. He had a 16-year-old female passenger. There were no injuries to either. Betschart had a suspended license. He was cited for Driving While Suspended and Reckless Driving. He was provided a warning for Reckless Endangering and Hit and Run Property Damage.

Criminal Trespass 2 – Case 16-13756
Police responded to the Cricket Wireless store regarding a trespasser who continued to return to the store after being told to leave. Police received information that the subject, Christopher Corey Kendall, age 31, would yell at customers entering the store and who were in the parking lot. Police contacted Kendall, who continued to stay at the location, and he was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Criminal Trespassing in the Second Degree.

Theft 1 – Case 16-12184
Police responded to the Safeway at the location following information posted online for a stolen bike and contacted two subjects, Austin Ross Brown, age 22, of Eugene, and Duwayne Scott Morris, age 23, of Eugene, who were in possession of the bike. The bike was recovered and returned to the owner, and Brown and Morris were cited in lieu of custody for Theft in the First Degree.

Police responded to the Fred Meyer department store regarding a shoplifter and contacted Gordon Rae Olson, age 56, of Creswell. Police received information that Olson was observed concealing items in a grocery bag and leaving the store without paying for the items. Police cited Olson in lieu of custody for Theft in the Third Degree.

Police were alerted to a male subject who had been laying underneath a car and contacted the described subject at the Delta Bar. During contact with the subject, Dennis Wayne Lowden, age 40, police found information to arrest him for Possession of Methamphetamine and Theft of Lost Mislaid Property (debit card), and transported him to the Lane County Jail.

Tamper With Drug Records/Forgery 1/Identity Theft – Case 16-13377
Police contacted Vincent Thomas Thuesen, age 40, of Eugene, following information that he forged a prescription and used false identifying information and false currency to pay for a prescription. Theusen remained lodged at the Lane County Jail, and received additional charges of Tampering With Drug Records, Forgery in the First Degree and ID Theft.

Police contacted Jonathan Gunner Jeffery Smith, age 22, of Springfield, and cited him for Use of Marijuana in Public after the officer observed him in the area.

Police were in the area when they heard yelling and observed a dispute between a male and female subject, and the 19-year-old female subject subsequently falling to the ground. Police contacted the involved subjects, after observing the incident and the male subject’s aggressive, and arrested Kenneth James Gangle Jr., age 21, of Eugene, for Disorderly Conduct. He was transported to the Lane County Jail.

Police contacted the driver of a red Kia Rio with an expired registration and found that she had a warrant. Laura Kathryn Donahue Cooper, age 26, of Eugene, was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail on the warrant, and issued a citation for Driving While Suspended and Driving Uninsured.

Theft 2/Resisting Arrest – Case 16-13666
Police responded to the area after receiving information of a female subject who stole a phone from a food cart operator. Police located the described subject and phone in the area of Broadway Alley and Willamette, and contacted the subject, Amber Danielle Morgan, age 35, of Eugene, regarding the incident, and attempted to arrest her for the theft. During the arrest, Morgan struggled with the officers, and attempted to injure herself by hitting her head on the ground. Medics responded to the scene, and transported Morgan to the hospital. She was later arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Theft in the Second Degree and Resisting Arrest.

Prohibited Camping – Case 1613644
Officers on foot patrol downtown observed several people camping in Broadway Plaza, where there are many signs advising there is ‘no camping.’ Cited for Prohibited Camping were Nicholas Adam Ward, age 30; Don Drean Vaxter, age 30; Ambrose Stormrider Holtham Keathley, age 24; and Theodore William Burk, age 31.

Police responded to a residence following information of a female subject who was yelling and threatening people at a neighboring residence. When police arrived to the location, they contacted Christy Lynn Santos, age 38, who resides at the location, and found information to arrest her for Disorderly Conduct. She was transported to the Lane County Jail.

Robbery 1 – Case 16-13630
Police responded to the area for information of a robbery and located the suspect, Julian Vicente Martinez, age 21, of Eugene. Police received information that Martinez hit and threatened the male victim and demanded items from him. Police contacted Martinez and found him in possession of a clothing item that he had taken from the victim. He was arrested for Robbery in the First Degree and a warrant. He was transported to the Lane County Jail on the charges.

Police responded to the area following information of a male and female subject who were going through mailboxes. When police arrived, they located two subjects who matched the description and contacted them regarding the information. Police found information to arrest both subjects, Brandon Avery Weltch, age 23, of Eugene, and Adrienne Leanne Post, age 27, of Eugene, for Mail Theft and Possession of Methamphetamine. They were transported to the Lane County Jail on the charges.

An officer on patrol contacted the driver of a red 2013 Hyundai Elantra, Howard Stone Coburn, age 29, of Eugene, after he was observed driving with the headlights off during a time of darkness. During contact with Coburn, police found information to arrest him on a warrant and issued him a citation for Driving While Suspended. He was transported to the Lane County Jail.

A police officer in the area contacted Patrick David Jackson, age 48, of Eugene, regarding a warrant. During contact with Jackson, he ran from the officer, but was apprehended after a short distance and arrested on the warrant and Interfering With a Peace Officer. Following the arrest, Jackson received an additional charge of Possession of Methamphetamine. He was transported to the Lane County Jail on the charges.

Police responded to the Market of Choice grocery store and received information that the a male subject was observed placing several items in a cart and leaving the store without attempting to pay for the items. Police contacted the suspect Randall Clark Fetterman, age 56, at the location, and found that he had a warrant. He was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail on the warrant and Theft in the Third Degree.

Police responded to a physical dispute between two male subjects in front of the Salvation Army and observed one male with blood on his face. Police received information that the victim confronted the male subject after the subject was observed hitting a 32-year-old female subject. Police contacted the suspect, Justin Igor Rosenbaum, age 26, of Eugene, across the street, and arrested him for Assault, Disorderly Conduct and a warrant. He was transported to the Lane County Jail.

Police responded to the location and received information that a male subject, James Douglas Ray, age 54, of Eugene, was aggressive toward employees after he was contacted regarding a previous trespass from the location. He was detained by the employees after attempting to kick and behave aggressively toward them. He was contacted by police and transported to the Lane County Jail for Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree and Interfering with Public Transit.

Police responded to a physical dispute at a residence between two male subjects known to each other. Police received information that the dispute escalated from a verbal dispute, and Brian Thomas May, age 27, spit on the other male, Geovani Joey Rae White, age 20. Both subjects were cited for Disorderly Conduct, and May received an additional charge of Harassment.

Police received information of a nude male subject at Skinner’s Butte Park and located the male sitting in an open area in view of numerous people at the park. Police contacted the subject, Kurt Patrick Holman, age 25, of Eugene, who walked toward a bench and covered himself, and cited he was cited for Prohibited Nudity.

Police contacted driver of a 1998 Chevrolet Silverado, Theodore Lyle Haney, age 55, of Drain, after he was observed driving with a suspended license. After further investigation, Haney was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for DUII-Felony, Driving While Suspended, and Reckless Driving.

Police contacted the driver of a black Chrylser 2LM sedan, David Charles Orr, age 27, of Eugene, after observing the vehicle traveling without headlights while dark outside. After further investigation, he was arrested for DUII and transported to the Lane County Jail.

Hit and Run/Reckless Driving – Case 16-13437
Police responded to the location regarding a green Ford F-150 with significant front end damage that crashed through a wooden fence and into the deck at the residence. Police contacted the registered owner of the vehicle, Bradley Jefferson Morin, age 64, of Eugene, at his residence and cited him in lieu of custody for Hit and Run and Reckless Driving. He was also issued a citation for Driving While Suspended.

Disorderly Conduct/Criminal Trespass 2 – Case 16-13392
Police responded to a dispute at Taylor’s Bar between two male subjects and received information that a male subject, Jeffrey James McMahon, age 23, of Springfield, refused to leave the location after being asked to several times to leave by an employee. McMahon yelled at the employee and the behavior escalated into a physical dispute. Police arrived and contacted both subjects and people in the area regarding the incident and arrested McMahon for Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree. He was transported to the Lane County Jail.

Possession Heroin, Warrant – Case 1613391
Officers responded to reports of a person on the ground in Patterson Alley behind 1637 Ferry Street. Aaron Graeme Weinberg, age 32, of Eugene, was lying in a space near the back of the building. He had two warrants for his arrest and was in possession of heroin. He was charged with Possession of Heroin and the warrants.

An officer was patrolling in the area and observed a man, Jordan Indiana Crump, age 23, who he knew had warrants, sitting on the west side of 7-Eleven. Crump began walking away when the officer approached, but was compliant when contacted. He was in possession of heroin and was arrested and charged with Possession Heroin as well as the warrants.

Police contacted a man, Lloyd Robert Worley, 54, wanted for Failure to Appear on Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine). He was in possession of methamphetamine and was arrested on a new charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance Methamphetamine.

Criminal Trespass 2 – Case 1613370
Bike officers were patrolling the Owen Rose Garden and observed Thomas Earl Smith, age 41, drinking an alcoholic beverage. Smith has a park restriction until June 2017, and was charged with Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree.

Failure to Register as Sex Offender, Warrant - Case 1613364
Officers were patrolling the downtown core and as they walked through the West Park Block, they saw a man, Joseph Nelson Mabery, age 33, of Eugene, who had a warrant. They found he had also failed to register as a sex offender and that it had been 10 years since he had registered. Mabery was charged with Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and the warrants.

Criminal Trespass 2 – Case 1613357
Officers on bike patrol were checking Washington Jefferson Park and noticed a woman, later identified as Carol Lavonne Doriott, age 51, drinking an alcoholic beverage in the park. She had been issued a park restriction on August 5 and it was still in effect. She was warned for Open Container and charged with Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree.

Disorderly Conduct – Case 16-13339
Police responded to the area near Mangan Park regarding a disorderly subject who was screaming and kicking over garbage cans in the roadway. Police located the described subject, Michael Anthony Thompson, age 48, and observed two vehicles nearly strike him, one of the vehicles nearly stopping to avoid hitting him, as he crossed Barger against the signal. Thompson was contacted by police and arrested for Disorderly Conduct and transported to the Lane County Jail.

August 11 at 3:49 a.m., Plum Tree Drive/Bailey Hill
Hit and Run, Driving While Suspended – Case 1612023
On July 21 at 2:40 a.m., officers were sent to report of a possible hit and run at Plumtree Drive and Bailey Hill Drive. People in the area heard the sound of a crash and reported that a van had rear-ended a Jeep Wrangler. An officer investigated and found two more parked vehicles had been hit, a Honda Civic and a Ford F-150. The officer located the involved Chevrolet van and found damage on it consistent with the hit and run incidents. The driver, Kristie Ann Wiley, age 29, of Springfield, had left the area on foot and didn’t return. Her vehicle was impounded and police put out an attempt to locate for Wiley. On August 11, EPD was notified by Springfield Police Department that they had arrested Wiley in an unrelated case. An officer responded to the jail and charged her with three counts of Hit and Run. She was also cited for Driving While Suspended.

Possession of Methamphetamine and Warrant – Case 1613336
Two individuals, Jennifer Anne Vanta, age 32, of Eugene, and a man were reported to be refusing to leave another man’s residence. Vanta had a warrant for her arrest. An officer spotted Vanta and the man riding north on Bethel near Ogle Avenue. The man didn’t have a light on his bike and was on the road. The pair was stopped. The man was trespassed from the residence. Vanta was arrested on her warrant and was found to be in possession of meth. She was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine.

DUI, Reckless Driving, Violation of Designated Speed – Case 1613332
An officer was conducting traffic enforcement and observed a speeding car going northbound on Coburg Road. He stopped the vehicle and contacted the driver, later identified as Mitchell Thomas Wilson, age 23, of Junction City. Mitchell appeared intoxicated and after an investigation he was charged with DUI, Reckless Driving, and Violation of Designated Speed.

Possession of Stolen Vehicle – Case 1610647
On June 28, a man reported his fifth-wheel travel trailer had been stolen from its parking spot in the Bethel area. After the victim posted the stolen trailer on Facebook, someone spotted it and contacted the victim’s family with information regarding its location. On August 10, officers were dispatched to the address on Hilton Drive and contacted the suspect, Travis Kelly, age 39, of Eugene, hiding in the garage. He had a warrant for DUI-Failure to Appear and was arrested on the warrant. He was charged with Possession of Stolen Vehicle and Criminal Mischief 2 for damage to the trailer’s window.

Criminal Trespass 2 – Case 1613328
Officers were sent to report of a disorderly trespasser at Buckley Detox Center. Patricio Mendez Del Alto, age 34, was reported to be intoxicated and had kicked the door and thrown a bicycle against the building. He was told to leave the property but refused. When officers got there, Del Alto was leaving the parking lot and was taken into custody on Criminal Trespass 2.

Harassment, Resisting Arrest, Escape from Custody, False Info to Officer, Warrant, Consumption Unlicensed Premises/Open Container – Case 1613327
Days Inn called regarding a disorderly trespasser. When an officer arrived, he contacted the subject, later identified as Megan Joe Landig, age 36, who was drinking from an open container of alcohol. When officers went to arrest her, she tried to run away and when they got ahold of her, she tried to pull and twist away. As the officers escorted her to the patrol vehicle, she spat on the side of one officer’s face. She provided a false name, but once in jail, was found to be Landig and had a warrant out of the Lane County Sheriff’s Office for Failure to Appear on a Disorderly Conduct charge. She was charged with Harassment, Resisting Arrest, Escape from Custody, False Info to Officer, Warrant, Consumption Unlicensed Premises/Open Container.

Felon in Possession of Restricted Weapon, Warrant – Case 1613321
A man, later identified as Christopher Issac Willuweit, age 39, was sitting on a bench smoking in violation of the park’s rules. An officer patrolling the area contacted him and discovered Willuweit had two warrants. He had a restricted weapon (knife) and is a convicted felon. Warrant – Case 1613316
An officer conducting traffic enforcement spotted a car speeding. He initiated a traffic stop and the driver, Andrew Willow Higgins, age 28, of Eugene, was found to have a suspended license and a warrant out of the Oregon State Parole Board for Burglary. He was lodged on the warrant and cited for Driving While Suspended and Violation of Designated Speed.

Disorderly Conduct - Case 1613312
A disorderly man was reported to be lunging at people with a broken glass bottle at Circle K. An officer arrived and found the suspect, later identified as Joshua Todd Sullivan, age 51, had left the premises. The business is reported to have denied his bottle return and Sullivan knocked over merchandise displays. When Sullivan was told to leave, he started to curse and he left initially but then returned with the broken bottle and ran toward customers. An officer located Sullivan near Oak Street and E. 11th Avenue and arrested him for Disorderly Conduct.

Possession of Heroin, Possession of Methamphetamine, Warrants – Case 1613308
An officer spotted a man he knew, Mykel Gregory Black, age 30, to have warrants in the East Park Block with two other people. Black started walking away as the officer approached, but stopped when the officer made contact with him in the West Park block. He was in possession of heroin and meth and appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance He was charged with Possession of Heroin, Possession of Methamphetamine and taken into custody on three warrants.

Theft 3 – Case 16-13307
Police responded to the Fred Meyer store regarding a shoplifter and received information that the suspect, Jeffrey Lee Stonefield, age 53, of Eugene, was contacted by an employee after leaving the store without attempting to pay for several items he concealed on his person. He was contacted by police and cited in lieu of custody for Theft in the Third Degree.

Theft 3/Interfering/Criminal Trespass 2 – Case 16-13303
Police responded to Jackson’s Market regarding a male subject who had his property spread out in front of the business and would not leave. Police also received information that the subject, Brian David Zier, age 43, of Eugene, had stolen an item from the location. During the investigation of the incident, Zier attempted to leave the location, and ran after the officer told him to stop. The officer followed Zier on his bike and contacted him after locating him behind a vehicle on Lincoln Street. He was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Theft in the Third Degree, Interfering With a Police Officer and Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree.

August 10, 2 p.m., 100 block of W. Broadway
Theft 2 – Case 16-13289
Police officers patrolling the area of Broadway and Olive Street received information of a male subject who confronted a male victim and stole the victim’s backpack. Police observed the suspect, Logan Blake Foster, age 21, of Eugene, running west through the pedestrian alley and contacted him after telling him to stop. Police arrested and transported Foster to the Lane County Jail for Theft in the Second Degree and Disorderly Conduct. The backpack was located near 8th Ave and Olive, and returned to the victim.

Police responded to information of a shoplifter at Home Depot who attempted to leave the store after concealing items on his person. Police contacted the suspect Jeremy Ray Carlson, age 29, of Eugene, and cited him in lieu of custody for Theft in the Second Degree.

Criminal Trespass 2 – Case 16-13276
A police officer observed a male subject on bike who was trespassing at an apartment and looking through the dumpster and trash cans at the location. The officer contacted the subject, Michael Wayne Melendy, age 25, of Eugene, and arrested him for Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree, and transported him to the Lane County Jail.

Police received information regarding an employee who had made unauthorized returns for financial gain. Police contacted Kezia Angelina Mitchell, age 28, of Eugene, regarding the information and she was cited in lieu of custody for Theft in the Second Degree.

Possession of Heroin/Warrant – Case 16-13266
Police contacted three suspects at the apartment regarding warrants, and arrested Daniel Jay Vasquez, age 26, Tyler Ray Percell, age 20, and Dennis Walter Rotherham, age 29, for the warrants. During the arrest, police found information to arrest Vasquez on additional charges of Possession of Heroin and Possession of Meth, and Rotherham received an additional charge of Possession of Heroin. The suspects, all residing in Eugene, were transported to the Lane County Jail.

Theft 3 – Case 16-13254
Police responded to the Macy’s department store at the location and received information that the suspect, Levi Aaron Whitney, age 19, of Springfield, exited the store without attempting to pay for the clothing items he had concealed on his person. Police contacted Whitney at the store and cited him in lieu of custody for Theft in the Third Degree.

August 9 at 3:58 p.m., W. Broadway/Charnelton
Assault – Case 1613243
Police were called to respond to a fight between two men at Charnelton and W. 8th. They arrived and spotted a 35-year-old man holding a tissue to his face, which was bleeding. He reported that two of his friends, who were married, were horse playing in the alley when a man, later identified as Shawn Michael Martin, age 42, came walking past them. He made remarks suggesting that the husband was abusing the wife. The victim and Martin got into a dispute over this and Martin is reported to have punched him in the face. Martin was located with the assistance of the Downtown Guides at W. Broadway and Olive. After an investigation, Martin was charged with Assault.

Dustin Jon Alimossy, age 30, was in the city park and police contacted him as he had a park exclusion until September 16, 2016. He was arrested for Criminal Trespass 2.

August 9 at 11:25 p.m., Eugene Area
Mental Hold – Case 1613231
Officers were dispatched as a male resident in his 30s, who was court-mandated to stay at the facility had been kicking, biting and punching staff during the day and had now fled the facility after kicking through a secure fence. Staff had followed him to the 7-Eleven store at River Road and River Loop 2. Officers arrived at the location and contacted the man. After investigating, they took him into custody on a Mental Hold without incident.

August 9 at 7:13 a.m., E. Broadway/Willamette
Harassment, Disorderly Conduct – Case 1613227
Officers were sent to report of a disorderly and combative man who had been pepper-sprayed by a downtown guide. The man, later identified as William Francis Schive, age 63, of Junction City, is reported to have shoved a maintenance worker, age 30, who was leaf-blowing in the area. Schive was cursing, yelling and aggressively advancing on the worker. A downtown guide intervened to protect the worker, but Schive kept advancing toward the worker. He was pepper-sprayed. An EPD officer arrived and was able to keep the situation under control while waiting for a second cover officer. Schive, was lying on the ground at the Broadway Plaza yelling. He was not cooperative with the first arriving officer, who was trying to help him get the pepper spray off his face. And, he walked off when a second officer tried to contact him. He lay down in the street and blocked northbound traffic on Willamette Street. Officers were eventually able to get him into custody without further incident and alleviate his pepper-spray condition with water. Schive was charged with Harassment and Disorderly Conduct.

Mental Hold – Case 1613226
An officer was dispatched to Continental Bank for the report of a disorderly subject. The officer arrived and located a 21-year-old Eugene man sitting in the gravel parking lot in distress. He appeared under the influence of methamphetamine and in pain from infected sores. He appeared to be having trouble taking care of himself and the officer offered to transport him to Buckley House. He accepted the offer and was transported.

August 9 at 3:49 a.m., 2200 block of Golden Gardens
Possession of Methamphetamine – Case 1613225
Homeowners called police when they found that a man they didn’t know was on their front porch rocking back and forth. He had also picked up some rocks and they were concerned about what he might do with them. Officers responded and contacted the man, George Bumgardner, age 24, and he appeared impaired on a substance. He was in possession of meth and was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine.

Warrant, False Information to Police Officer - Case 1613224
While officers were busy with the arrest of Bumgardner, above, they spotted two bicyclists suddently in the area and attempted contact. One of the bicyclists yielded and the other, a did not, but continued. The officer was able to get her to stop. She provided a false name, but the investigating officer figured this out and also found that the woman, Amanda Laree Sustaire, age 30, had a warrant. She was charged with the warrant and False Info to Police. She was warned for Interfering with Police.

Dog at Large – Case 16-13180
Police observed a dog with a leash, walking away unattended on the sidewalk and urinate in the middle of the sidewalk outside the Thunderbird Market. The officer contacted the person responsible for the dog, Don Drean Vaxter, age 30, of Los Angeles, and cited him for Dog At Large.

Police responded to the downtown library after receiving information of a male subject who refused to leave the premises after a previous restriction from the library. Police contacted the subject, Duane Rodney Godard, age 24, and arrested him for Trespass in the Second Degree. He was transported to the Lane County Jail.

August 8 at 6:25 p.m., 600 block of Hwy 99
Warrant – Case 16-13209
Police responded to the location regarding a male subject who was yelling and swinging a stick. Police contacted the person who matched the description of the subject, Eric Arthur Curran, age 46, of Eugene, and found that he had a warrant. He was arrested for the warrant and transported to the Lane County Jail.

August 8 at 4:15 p.m., Tyler Street/W. 22nd Avenue
Possess Heroin/Wildlife Offense Game – Case 16-13207
Police responded to information of a male and female subject who appeared motionless, and were sitting in a car along the curb with the engine running. When the police officer arrived, he contacted the subjects and found information to arrest Cory Richard Dolby, age 27, of Eugene, for Possession of Heroin, Possession of Methamphetamine and a warrant. He was transported to the Lane County Jail on the charges. During contact with Dolby and the female subject, Darlyne Alameda Sproul, age 27, of Sutherlin, the officer observed a small wild bird in their possession and found information to cite both subjects for Wildlife Offense Game.

Police responded to the grocery store after receiving information that a male subject had become verbally aggressive after he was told to leave, and was causing a disruption to business. The subject, Dirk Jonathan Verhoest, age 26, refused to leave and was contacted by police. He was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree.

Police officers conducting foot patrol in the area contacted Ryan Matthew Humphreys, age 29, of Springfield, and cited him for Use of Marijuana in Public Place, after he was observed at the location by the officer.

Disorderly Conduct – Case 16-13212
Police responded to the area following information of a loud verbal dispute and received information that a male subject, John Michael Verdi, age 61, yelled at a couple from his Toyota Tundra, followed the couple in the vehicle, and continued to yell at them as they attempted to walk away. Police located the involved vehicle and conducted a traffic stop at E. 37th and Donald Street and contacted the driver, Verdi, regarding the incident. Verdi was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Disorderly Conduct.

Warrant Arrest – Case 1613114
An officer was on a shoplifting call at Market of Choice and was advised that a man named Paul Nicholas Schilling, age 28, unrelated to the shoplifting call, was outside the store and had a felony warrant. The officer contacted Schilling and took him into custody without incident on Possession of Heroin Failure to Appear, and Delivery of Marijuana Failure to Appear.

Theft 3 (from Building) – Case 1610584
On June 22, at 9:40 p.m., a member of a business’s cleaning staff stole money a cash register of a business. The suspect was identified as Adam Eden Crawford, age 27, of Springfield. An officer investigated and on August 7 contacted Crawford, charging him with Theft 3.

Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Burglary Tools, Warrant – Case 1613084
A man, later identified as, Iosefa Sesera Brown, age 46, of Eugene, was passed out on the driver’s seat of a pickup. An officer responded and woke him up. After the officer identified him, he found Brown had a warrant and was in possession of methamphetamine and burglary tools. Brown was arrested on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Burglary Tools, and warrant.

August 7 at 6:53 a.m., Delta Hwy./Delta Southbound Connector
DUI, Reckless Driving – Case 1613082
An officer was dispatched to a single-vehicle rollover crash involving a Volkswagon Jetta on Beltline eastbound to Delta southbound off ramp. The car was resting on its hood in the grassy area near the guardrail. Upon contact the driver, Danielle Nicole Terry, age 27, of Eugene, appeared intoxicated. She was taken to a local hospital for non life-threatening injuries and after an investigation she was charged with DUI and Reckless Driving.

Criminal Trespass 2 – Case 1613080
Police were dispatched to two trespassers at Summit Bank. Security staff there had found Amethyst Robbins, age 21, and Tyson Edward Gunningham, age 21, behind a locked gate area. They were charged with Criminal Trespass 2.

August 7 at 2:48 a.m., Franklin/Onyx
DUI (Alcohol and cannabis), Carry Concealed Weapon – Case 1613078
Two officers were conducting traffic enforcement at E. 7th and Pearl and saw a Chevrolet pickup speeding on east 7th. It failed to maintain its lane. One of the officers initiated a traffic stop. However, the truck continued traveling eastbound on Broadway, and onto Franklin Boulevard. It did stop at Onyx. Upon contact, the primary officer suspected the driver, Lopez Salvador, age 22, of Eugene, was impaired. After a DUI investigation and subsequent drug recognition expert evaluation, Lopez was charged with DUI, and Failure to Drive within a Lane. He was found to be in possession of a concealed knife and also charged with Carry Concealed Weapon.

August 6 at 11:55 p.m., River Road/Kourt
Possession of Methamphetamine, Warrant – Case 1613074
An officer patrolling in the area spotted two bicycle in the area fail to stop for a stop sign. He initiated a stop. One of the bicyclists, Tia Noel Caudle, age 28, of Springfield, immediately started to argue. She refused to provide her name and started to ride away. She was told she was not free to leave and kept refusing to respond to commands. A deputy arrived to assist and they struggled with Caudle to get her into handcuffs. While the officer was attempting to search Caudle, she slammed her head into the hood of the patrol car and another officer, who had also responded to help, had to hold onto her to keep her from hurting herself. She was in possession of methamphetamine and taken to jail on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and Interfering with Police. The male, later identified as Joel Robert Poston, age 43, of Eugene, had a warrant out of Linn County Circuit Court for Theft 1 Failure to Appear. He was taken to jail.

August 6 at 9:54 p.m., Beltline Westbound
DUI – Case 1613070
An officer responded to the area of NW Expressway and Beltline regarding a possible DUII driver. The officer located the vehicle, a Chevrolet Tahoe driving northbound on NW Expressway at Irving. The vehicle’s driver failed to signal the turn and drove wide. The officer stopped the vehicle. In addition to the driver, identified as Jeanna Fraye Bolman, age 36, of Eugene, there were two children and a baby as passengers. The officer suspected impairment and conducted an investigation. She was charged with DUI, Failure to Signal a Turn.

August 6 at 9:02 p.m., 990 W. 1st Avenue
Disorderly Conduct – Case 1613065
An officer was working security at Hop Valley Brewery and was contacted by a member of the public about a fight in the street. The officer responded and there was a crown in the middle of the road with three people wrestling on the ground. As the officer approached, the people stood up and one of them, identified as Garrick Tyler Adair, age 30, of Eugene, was yelling and swung at security staff. Security staff took him safely to the ground and the officer handcuffed him. According to reports, a woman who knows Adair was angry and threw a drink on him and he charged her. Onlookers tried to calm him down, but he ignored them and grabbed Adair to restrain him. Adair was charged with Disorderly Conduct.

August 6 at 6:35 p.m., 145 E. 18th Avenue
Attempted Robbery 2 (Carjacking), Attempted Unauthorized Use of Vehicle, Menacing, Theft 3, False Info to Police Officer, Warrant – Case 1613060
An officer was sent to investigate a possible shoplifter at Safeway. A security officer was following the suspect, Eddie Dean Poole, age 54, of Eugene, who was reported to have taken items without paying. Poole ran from the security officer. The Eugene Police officer spotted the two at E. 14th and Pearl, and was able to take Poole into custody. Poole provided a false name. He had a warrant out of the Oregon State Parole Board for Unauthorized Use of Vehicle. There was a related call from an incident near 16th and Patterson Ally. A 22-year-old woman had been unloading groceries from her car when a man, later identified as Poole, approached her, then after asking her some questions, pulled up his shirt to show a handgun underneath and made statements. The woman didn’t respond and he put his shirt down and walked away. Police recovered a BB gun, resembling a handgun.

August 6 at 5 a.m., 5500 block of Cody Avenue
Resisting Arrest/Warrant – Case 16-13032
Police responded to the residence and contacted Kash Nathaniel Couts, age 26, regarding a warrant. During contact with Couts, he refused to follow direction from the officer and resisted the officers attempts to arrest him on the warrant. Couts continued to struggle with the officers and attempted pull away, and was eventually arrested on the warrant and Resisting Arrest. He was transported to the Lane County Jail.

August 6 at 2:17 a.m., Northwest Expressway/River Road
DUII – Case 16-13029
A police officer contacted the driver of a 1995 black Lexus, Humberto Cruz-Vargas, age 38, of Eugene, after observing the vehicle traveling without headlights on and failing to maintain in its lane of travel. After further investigation, Cruz-Vargas was arrested for DUII and cited for Driving Without Privilege.

August 6 at 1:18 a.m., W. 11th/City View Street
Disorderly Conduct – Case 16-13025
Police responded to the area following information of a disorderly subject who was placing construction cones in the roadway, and contacted a female, Amberlee Pyle, age 37, of Springfield, who matched the description of the suspect, and observed the cones blocking the roadway. During contact with Pyle, it was found that she had a warrant. She was transported to the Lane County Jail on the warrant and Disorderly Conduct.

Possession of Heroin, Warrant – Case 1613086
An officer was sent to the location after an anonymous complaint about two individuals who were in a shed behind a house. After checking, the officer located Justin James Wilson, age 34, and a 15-year-old male. Justin Wilson was in Possession of Heroin, and had warrants for Contempt of Court-Failure to Appear and Possession of Heroin. The 15-year-old also had a warrant and was taken to Serbu.

Police responded to the Hirons store regarding a shoplifter and received information that the suspect was observed concealing items on his person and leaving the store without attempting to pay for the items. Police contacted the suspect, Darryl Edward Guard, age 52, of Eugene, at the store, and it was found that he had a warrant for arrest. He was transported to the Springfield Municipal Jail on the warrant and cited for Theft in the Second Degree.

A police officer observed a stolen Lincoln Navigator in the area that was occupied by two male subjects and a female subject. Police contacted the subjects and arrested Dustin Franklin Wheeler, age 40, of Jasper, for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Delivery of Heroin and Unlawful Possession of Heroin. Wheeler was transported to the Lane County Jail. Kristina Loveda Powell, age 30, of Eugene, was arrested and transported to the Springfield Municipal Jail on a warrant and Possession of Methamphetamine. Cole Winston Ramsey, age 33, of Eugene, was arrested for Unlawful Use of a Vehicle.

A police officer contacted Ian Christopher Kerchee, age 42, of Eugene, and cited him for Possession of Methamphetamine after he was observed in the area by the officer.

Disorderly Conduct – Case 16-12962
Police responded to the area regarding a male subject who was disrupting traffic. When police arrived, the officer observed the subject, Gregory Ashford Lewis, age 32, of Portland, in the center median of Highway 99N, throw an item from his backpack in the roadway. When the officer attempted to contact Lewis, he walked out into the northbound lanes, and was eventually detained by the officer. He was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Disorderly Conduct.

August 4 at 6:14 p.m., 3577 W. 11th Avenue
Attempted Assault 1/Disorderly Conduct 2/Criminal Trespass 2 – Case 16-12954
Police responded to the Pizza Hut at the location following information of an altercation between two subjects, male and female, and a Pizza Hut employee. Police received information that after the two subjects were told to leave, the male subject Travis R. Krauziewicz, age 24, of Eugene, punched the employee in the face, and the female subject, Maria Samantha Rivera, age 26, kicked the employee while he was on the ground, and displayed a knife. A bystander intervened, and took the knife from Rivera, and both suspects subsequently left the area on foot. Police located the suspects at the Taco Bell on W. 11th Avenue and contacted them regarding the incident. Both suspects were arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree and Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree. Rivera received an additional charge of Attempted Assault in the First Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Krauziewicz received an additional charge of Assault in the Fourth Degree. The 39-year-old victim was evaluated by medics at the scene for minor injuries sustained during the altercation.

Warrant Arrest (Probation Violation Felony DUI) – Case 1612945
On August 3 at 12:56 p.m., a man, later identified as Jacob Levi Eddings, age 33, had used a ladder to climb on top of the West park blocks’ covered area, which is a violation of park rules. The man was in a verbal dispute with another man in his late 20s, and trying to get others to fight him. Officers detained Eddings. who had been causing a disturbance at the location for the past couple of days. After an investigation, Eddings was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Violation of park rules. On August 4, Eddings was arrested at West Park and South Park on a Probation Violation related to a Felony DUI.

August 4, at 3:32 p.m., 300 block of E. 7th Avenue
Disorderly Conduct/Interfering With Police – Case 16-12946
Police responded to the area and observed a male subject who was walking in traffic on the Ferry Street Bridge, swinging a guitar and alarming motorists. Police contacted the male subject, and he was uncooperative with officers. He was eventually arrested him and transported him to the Lane County Jail for Interfering with a Peace Officer and Disorderly Conduct.

Unauthorized Use of Vehicle – Case 1612657
A 1994 Chevy pickup truck was stolen out of the parking lot of a business on Wallis. The owner reported this on July 31. An officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle around 3 p.m. on August 4 at Blair and Monroe. The driver, Jonathan Daniel Holmes, age 39, as arrested on charges of Unauthorized Use of Vehicle. The truck was returned to the owners.

An officer observed a Wesley Eugene Nelson, age 61, smoking marijuana and blocking of the doors at Subway, 930 Olive. He was charged with Use of Marijuana in a Public Place.

August 4 at 2:13 p.m., 99 W. Broadway/Olive
Open Container – Case 1612942
An officer contacted a man, later identified as Don Drean Vaxter, age 30, of Los Angeles. He had been contacted by Eugene Mall Guides earlier, around noon, as he had beer in a cup and personal property strewn around. When the officer contacted him around 2 p.m., he and two other people (see case 1612941, above), were blocking the sidewalk in front of Subway at 930 Olive. Vaxter had beer, and when asked by the officer to hand over the cup, he dropped it in a garbage can. He was advised he was under arrest for Open Container and he refused to comply, sat down and refused to move. Officers had to carry him to a nearby patrol car as he advised he couldn’t walk.

Police were called regarding a trespasser at the location, who was reported to have taken off most of his clothing. The officer contacted the man, Richard Leo Shively, age 37, who was sitting on a parking curb sunbathing in his underwear. He had a warrant for Failure to Appear on a DUI charge out of Clackamas County and was taken into custody.


August 4 at 9:55 a.m., 1200 block of Olive Street
Possession of Methamphetamine – Case 1612921
An officer was called to 13th and Olive apartments after reports were made of disorderly trespassers. Two individuals had fled by the time police arrived, but they were located sitting on a park bend at Charnelton and W. 15th Avenue. One of them, Dustin Jeffrey Shannon, age 20, was in violation of his probation, and in possession of meth. He was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine.

Warrant Arrest – Case 1612912 (parole violation murder)
A traffic stop was made on a vehicle without a brake light and with an expired registration. The officer contacted the female driver, but noticed that a passenger fit the description of a wanted subject, Franklin Charles Dashel, age 45, of Portland, who had a warrant for a parole violation for murder. A second officer saw the van’s sliding door open slightly, so the first officer requested a K9 to assist and an LCSO K9 deputy responded to assist. Dashel was taken into custody without incident on the warrant.

August 4 at 1:28 a.m., at eastbound I-105 and Coburg Road
DUI (cannabis), careless driving, driving without driving privileges, and throwing a burning object from moving vehicle – Case 1612911
An officer initiated a traffic stop on a Toyota Camry after he saw the driver speeding, throwing a lit cigar out the window. The vehicle failed to yield to the lights and siren for about a mile. When the officer contacted the driver, Thamer, he suspected the driver was intoxicated. After an investigation by an officer and then a drug recognition expert, he was charged with DUI (Cannabis), careless driving, driving without driving privileges, and throwing a burning object from moving vehicle.

August 3, at 11:27 p.m., 846 W. 6th Avenue
Harassment/Disorderly Conduct 2/Criminal Trespass 2- Case 16-12896
Police responded to the Side Pocket Tavern after receiving information of a female subject who refused to leave the location, punched an employee and was attempting to hit another employee while refusing to leave. When police arrived, the officer observed the female, Kalene Denae Doherty, age 37, of Eugene, yelling and running on the property. Police contacted her regarding the incident and transported her to the Lane County Jail for Harassment, Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree and Criminal Trespass in the second Degree.

August 3 at 1:58 a.m., Willamette Street/E. Broadway
Criminal Mischief 2 – Case 16-12774
A police officer observed graffiti in the area of Willamette Alley and contacted a nearby male subject Jordan Matthew Robinson, age 25, of Springfield. Robinson was cited for Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree.

August 3 at 12:47 a.m., 4700 block of W. 11th Avenue
DUII – Case 16-12818
Police received information of a possible DUII driver in the area, and located the involved blue 1998 Ford Expedition. The officer conducted a traffic stop and contacted the driver, Kelly Sue Buchwald, age 34, of Eugene, and after further investigation, cited her in lieu of custody for DUII.

August 3 at 2:35 a.m., 100 block of E. Broadway
Possession Methamphetamine – Case 16-12819
Police conducted a traffic stop of a gold 2000 Honda Accord, Ember Noel Youngblood, age 33, of Eugene, and contacted the driver regarding a suspended license. During contact with Youngblood, the police officer found information to cite her in lieu of custody for Possession of Methamphetamine in addition to a citation for Driving While Suspended.

August 3, at 12:14 p.m., W. 4th Alley/Lawrence Street
Unlawful Entry Motor Vehicle – Case 16-12845
Police responded to the area following information that a male subject was being detained by another male after the male subject was observed gaining entry to a Ford Ranger through the window and placing items from the truck on his person. The suspect Wesley Adam Coxley, age 35, of Springfield, was then told to stop as he fled on his bike, and was followed by the male and two female bystanders in a vehicle, who positioned their vehicle in an attempt to stop the suspect in West 4th Alley. The male subject was then able to stop Coxley, and detain him until police arrived and contacted him regarding the incident. He was Cited in Lieu of Custody for Unlawful Entry of a Motor Vehicle.

August 3, at 7:21 p.m., 800 block of W. 10 Avenue
Possession Methamphetamine – Case 16-12885
A police officer on bike contacted a female subject in Monroe Street Park after observing her with methamphetamine paraphernalia, and found that she had five warrants for arrest and was in possession of meth. Lucymae Lavonne Watson, age 22, of Eugene, was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail on the warrants and Possession of Methamphetamine.

August 3, at 5:58 p.m., 640 W. 7th Avenue
Possession Methamphetamine/Criminal Trespass 2 – Case
A police officer contacted three subjects who were sitting in front of a business that was closed and marked with No Trespassing signs. During contact with the subjects, police found information to arrest Joshua Henry Adair, age 31, of Eugene, for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Heroin, Felon in Possession of a Restricted Weapon and Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree. Nicholas Charles Francis, age 25, of Eugene was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Delivery of Methamphetamine, Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree and two warrants. Both were transported to the Lane County Jail. Taralin Rachelle Reynolds, age 26, of Eugene, was cited in lieu of custody for Possession of Methamphetamine and Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree.

August 3 at 11:53 p.m., 1040 Green Acres Road
Forgery 1 – Case 1612790
On August 2, an officer was dispatched to the McDonalds on W. 6th Avenue regarding a forgery. A man had ordered food and then tried to pay with a counterfeit bill. He left the store. The good information provided by McDonald’s staff helped the officer track down the suspect, Blake Wesley Ward, age 27. He was arrested at Walmart on Green Acres Road the next day, August 3 at 11:53 p.m.

August 3 at 11:31 p.m., 600 block of W. 7th
PCS-Methamphetamine, Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, Criminal Trespass II, and warrants – Case 1612899
An officer was doing a routine patrol check and contacted two men trespassing on property. Contacted were Garen Daniel Theis, age 48, and Andrew Paul Mondragon, age 22. Mondragon had a warrant and was in possession of meth. Theis was in possession of meth and had failed to register as a sex offender. He was lodged on two warrants, PCS-Methamphetamine, Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and Criminal Trespass II.

August 3 at 9:30 p.m., at Roosevelt /Iowa
Delivery of Methamphetamine, Warrant – Case 1612888
An officer stopped a man, later identified as Stewart Eugene Myers, age 62, of Eugene, riding a bicycle without a front light. Myers had a parole violation warrant for his arrest for Dangerous Drugs. He was in possession of a large amount of methamphetamine. He was arrested for Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine and the warrant.


August 3 at 4:49 p.m., 49 E. 8th Avenue
Delivery of Marijuana to a Minor – Case 1612866
An officer observed Samuel Garrett Brann Linsday, age 25, in the West Park Blocks making marijuana sales. He was contacted, along with Jasmine Ione McAlexander, of Eugene, age 18, and a 15-year-old girl. After an investigation Linsday was arrested for Unlawful Distribution of Marijuana to a Minor. McAlexander was cited for MIP marijuana. The 15-year-old was cited for MIP marijuana and issued a 30- day park restriction, then released to her mother.

August 3 at 12:56 p.m., 49 E. 8th Avenue
Disorderly Conduct, Violation of Park Rules – Case 1612842
A man, later identified as Jacob Levi Eddings, age 33, had used a ladder to climb on top of the West park blocks’ covered area, which is a violation of park rules. The man was in a verbal dispute with another man in his late 20s, and trying to get others to fight him. Officers detained Eddings. who had been causing a disturbance at the location for the past couple of days. After an investigation, Eddings was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Violation of park rules.


August 3 at 2:35 a.m., 44 E. Broadway
Possession of Methamphetamine – Case 1612819
An officer stopped a Honda Accord, driven by Ember Noel Youngblood, age 33. Her license was suspended for Driving Uninsured. While there, the officer saw the Youngblood was in possession of methamphetamine. She was cited for Possession of Controlled Substance Methamphetamine.

August 3 at 1:58 a.m., Willamette and E. Broadway
Criminal Mischief 2 – Case 1612774
An officer was driving on Willamette and spotted a man on Broadway Alley with what looked to be a marker in his hand, possibly preparing to draw on the wall. The man saw the officer and stopped what he was doing, and then he left. The officer followed and told him to stop several times. He complied, but as he walked by an SUV, the officer suspected he secreted something on the vehicle. The man identified himself with a fake name, and he was later identified correctly as Jordan Matthew Robinson, age 25, of Springfield. At the time, the officer didn’t find the marker, but after he let the man leave, he did find one on the SUV and when he went back to the Broadway Alley, and found a match with the tags there. The officer located the Robinson at a local eatery and issued him a citation for Criminal Mischief 2.

August 3 at 12:47 a.m., 4711 W. 11th Avenue
DUII, Driving While Suspended – Case 1612818
An officer stopped a Ford Expedition at a gas station on Royal Avenue after report of a possibly intoxicated driver. The officer contacted Kelly Sue Buchwald, age 34, of Eugene, and suspected impairment. After an investigation, she was charged with DUII and Driving While Suspended.

August 2, at 12:39 p.m., 300 block of W. 10th Avenue
Criminal Trespass 2/ Prohibited Nudity – 16-12787
Police contacted a male and female subject who were observed lying on the ground in an area that was marked with No Trespassing signs, and had been previously contacted regarded trespassing at the location. Gregory Gene Faulkner, age 56, of Elmira, and Jill Elaine Smith, age 49, of Eugene, were both cited for Criminal Trespassing in the Second Degree, and Smith received an additional charge of Prohibited Nudity for having her lower region exposed.

August 1, at 6:15 p.m., 1100 block of Mill Street
Criminal Trespass 2 – Case 16-12764
A police officer contacted several people who were observed in a No Trespass area directly in front of a residence at the location. During contact with the subjects, police found information to arrest one of the subjects, Brett Anthony Deverell, age 23, of Eugene, on warrants. During the arrest, police found information to charge Deverell with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of Schedule 4 Drug and Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree. He was transported to the Lane County Jail. Police cited the following subjects in lieu of custody for Trespass in the Second Degree: Shawn Michelle Kubik, age 44, of Springfield, Jacob Scott Rasmussen, age 43, of Eugene, Joseph Carleton Middleton, age 67, of Eugene, and John Thomas Wilkinson, age 42, of Eugene. Margaret Ann Wilkinson, age 65, of Eugene, was cited for Obstruction of Sidewalk, after the officer observed her personal belongings entirely blocking the passageway, and Justin Michael Anderson was transported to the Lane County Jail for Trespassing in the Second Degree, after having previously been trespassed at the same location.

August 1, 6:15 p.m., 895 E. 13th Avenue
Robbery 3 – Case 16-12763
Police responded to the Duck Store regarding a shoplifter who had fought with an employee. Police received information that the employee attempted to contact the suspect, Amber Danielle Morgan, age 35, of Eugene, after she was observed exiting the store without attempting to pay for electronic items that she had concealed on her person. When the employee attempted to contact Morgan, she ran, but was grabbed by the employee after a short distance, and she attempted to hit the employee during the struggle. Police contacted Morgan at the store and she was evaluated and t

August 1, 11:18 a.m., 1100 block of Mill Street
Interfering With Police Officer/Criminal Trespass 2 – Case 16-12725
A police officer observed a male subject walk through a parking lot at the location after throwing a stick at a parked car. The officer located the subject, Jeffri Madison West, age 21, of Eugene, in an area marked no trespassing, and contacted him regarding the incident. West arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree. West received an additional charge of Interfering With Police after providing misinformation regarding his identity.

August 1, 7:43 p.m., W. 5th Ave/Adams Street
Carry Concealed/Felon In Possession of Restricted Weapon – Case 16-12761
A police officer contacted a bicyclist after he was observed riding eastbound in the westbound lane on W. 5th Avenue. During contact with the bicyclist, Justin Leroy Grossman, age 30, of Eugene, police found that he had a warrant for arrest. During the arrest for the warrant it was found that Grossman was in possession of blunt metal object and received additional charges of Felon in Possession of Restricted Weapon and Carrying a Concealed Weapon. He was transported to the Lane County Jail
