Police responded at 9:26 p.m. August 1, for a reported stabbing. An 30-year-old man had been stabbed and then travelled on foot to 1080 Willamette, Lane Transit District station, where he was found. Eugene Springfield Fire EMS also responded and medics transported him to a local hospital with what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Police located the suspect, John Brian Carter, age 43, at 11th and Charnelton and he was taken into custody, then transported to a local hospital to treat an injury, also non-life threatening. Carter has been charged with Assault in the Second Degree. Case 1612771
