[ARCHIVED] Criminal Investigation into Russel Lee Penn's Death Continues

On March 24, 2014, Eugene Police found Russel Lee Penn deceased in his home on Archie Street. This continues to be an open and active homicide investigation. If anyone has information about this case, please contact Detective Jennifer Curry at 541.682.5166.

March 27, 2014

The Eugene Police Department is conducting a criminal investigation into the death of Russell Lee Penn, born July 24, 1952. The address of the investigation is 957 Archie Street, where he lived. Police were withholding the name until his family was notified.

No further information or interviews can be released today. Police understand people are interested and concerned and will release information as they learn more through the investigation.

Death Investigation
Case No. 14-4814

At 1:43 p.m. March 24, Eugene Police officers were sent to conduct a welfare check in the 900 block of Archie. After checking the residence, they discovered a deceased adult inside the home. At this point, the cause of the person’s death is not readily apparent and police are conducting an investigation.

As more information becomes available it will be released.
