[ARCHIVED] One Brother Stabs Another In Their Second Fight of The Night

At 12:22 am Friday, Eugene Police officers responded to a home on the 4700 block of Brookwood regarding an alcohol fueled dispute between two adult brothers, Kevin Murphy, age 22, and Christopher Murphy, age 25. Officers learned that no prosecutable crime occurred, and both Murphy’s agreed to retreat to their rooms as police left the home.

Just after 1:30 am, officers were called back to the residence for an alleged stabbing. Officers found Christopher Murphy outside his house. Christopher attempted to prevent officers from entering the residence to locate his brother; who had been stabbed with a kitchen knife. EPD Officers and Eugene Fire Paramedics located and rendered aid to Kevin Murphy who had stab wounds to his arm and shoulder. Kevin Murphy was taken to RiverBend Hospital for non-life-threatening wounds.

Officers arrested Christopher Murphy for Assault in the Second Degree, and lodged him at the Lane County Jail.
