[ARCHIVED] Help Transform Alternative Transit in Eugene

Join the MovingAhead team to review alternatives for how some of Eugene’s most important streets could be improved. The team is hosting an open house on Monday, March 7, at the Eugene Public Library downtown branch. The open house runs from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Through MovingAhead, the City of Eugene and the Lane Transit District (LTD) have developed alternatives for how transit, both EmX and regular buses, and improvements to sidewalks and bikeways could make it easier to get around our community.

At the Open House, you can review the alternatives for changes to the corridors along Highway 99, River Road, Coburg Road, 30th Avenue to Lane Community College, and Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard.

After confirming the range of alternatives, the MovingAhead team will conduct a more detailed study of the costs, benefits, and impacts of each alternative. Additional input will be collected from the community before a preferred alternative is selected for each corridor in fall 2016.
