16-02935 – February 22, at approximately 10:09 a.m., police responded to Tsunami Books at 2585 Willamette St., regarding an unknown male subject who had entered the store yelling and was asked to leave, and verbally threatened the 62-year-old male employee while holding a cane. Around 2 p.m., police located a person who matched the description of the suspect, Seth Alford, in the area before the 100 block of Broadway, and contacted him regarding the incident. Alford became aggressive and started yelling during contact with the officer. He was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Menacing, Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree, and three warrants for arrest.
16-02961 – February 22, at approximately 2:15 p.m., police responded to the Washington Jefferson Park, 240 Washington St. regarding a dispute, and contacted the involved subjects. During the contact, Lawrence Robert Savedra III, age 27, of Eugene, refused to cooperate with the investigation, and continued to yell over the officer’s voice. He was arrested for Interfering With A Police Officer and transported to the Lane County Jail. During the arrest, Savedra continued to behave aggressively, banging his head in the patrol vehicle, and refusing to follow direction from the deputies at the jail.
16-02645 – February 17, at approximately 9:56 a.m., police responded to the Home Depot on Seneca Rd. regarding a disorderly male subject. When police arrived to the location, they received information that a person matching the description of the subject was now at Starbuck’s yelling at customers and causing a disturbance. Police located the suspect, Richard Byran Hancock, age 55, of Eugene, and observed him waving his arms and yelling at pedestrians. Police attempted to contact Hancock and gave him direction to stop. He continued to yell obscenities at the officer, and subsequently entered the roadway, causing cars to stop in both directions of travel to avoid hitting him. Hancock was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Interfering with a Police Officer. During the arrest, Hancock resisted the officer’s attempt to detain him. He was eventually placed into custody and transported to the Lane County Jail.
16-02581 – February 15, at approximately 8:40 p.m., police responded to the area of Broadway and Willamette for an assault. Police received information that the suspect had punched the 20-year-old victim in the face while attempting to attain money and threatening the victim. The suspect, who is known to the victim, had stolen the victim’s bicycle the previous day. A few hours later, at approximately 12:51 a.m., police observed the suspect, Bradley Lewis Sharp, age 21, of Springfield, in the area of W. Broadway and Charnelton St. and contacted him regarding the incident. Sharpe was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Robbery in Third Degree.
16-02533 – February 15, at approximately 1:37 a.m., police responded to the Goodwill department store located at 855 Seneca, and contacted a suspect leaving the yard area on the south side of the fence. During the investigation, police observed a piece of equipment that had been taken from the yard, and arrested Jonathan Joseph Stoll, age 44, of Eugene, for Theft in the Second Degree, Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree, and a Warrant for Arrest. Stoll was transported to the Lane County Jail.
1602464 – February 13, at approximately 7:09 p.m., a male subject was observed riding a bicycle east on Roosevelt near Lassen in the roadway without proper lighting and was contacted by police. During contact with the officer, the suspect, Christopher Riley Nelson, age 26, of Eugene, ran, and was apprehended by police a short time later and arrested for Interfering with Police. He was transported to the Lane County Jail.
16-02361 – February 12, at approximately 5:17 a.m., police responded to a residence on the 1500 block of Mill Street, and received information that the female victim awoke to find an unknown male subject in the home. The suspect made brief contact with the victim and was seen by another resident in the home, and left the location before police arrived and were unable to locate the suspect.
16-02352 - February 11, at approximately 7:41 p.m., police responded to the 3500 block of W. 11th Avenue for a disorderly subject, and observed the suspect, Joshua Adams Clemens, age 38, of Eugene, in the area between Fred Meyer and Home Depot. Police contacted Clemens, following information that he was observed using paint to mark the side of the McDonald’s restaurant at 3555 W. 11th Avenue. Police also found information to arrest Clemens for marking a storage container on the property of Fred Meyer. He was arrested for two counts of Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, and a warrant. He was transported to the Lane County Jail.
16-02238 – February 10, at approximately 5:53 a.m., police responded to the area of Hwy. 99 and Roosevelt Blvd. regarding a female subject on foot who was staggering in traffic, and the public was concerned for her welfare. A police officer attempted to contact the woman, Tonya Michelle Irene Vaughan, age 37, of Eugene, in the parking lot near Ivy Market, and she was uncompliant with direction from the officer. Vaughan was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and transported to the Lane County Jail.
16-02168 – February 9, at approximately 8:18 a.m., police responded to the 2500 block of Fairmount Blvd., regarding a male subject who had jumped out at a car and was prone in the street, blocking traffic. When the officer arrived, he observed Bradley Phillip Davis, age 30, of Eugene, lying in the roadway, perpendicular to traffic on Spring Blvd. at Fairmount. The officer contacted Bradley, and arrested him for Disorderly Conduct. He was transported to the Lane County Jail.
1602232 – On February 9 at 11:33 p.m., and officer responded to an incident where Megan Jo Reaves, age 32, of Blachly, had crashed her vehicle into a parked car while driving on Lawrence Street. After an investigation, Reaves was cited in lieu of custody for Driving Under the Influence, and Careless Driving.
1602058 – On February 7, at 1:36 a.m., officers were dispatched to Roosevelt and Hwy. 99N regarding a possible DUII driver at the Blind Pig Tavern, 2750 Roosevelt. Police looked for a silver Ford F-150, which was leaving north on Hwy. 99. The officer caught up to it and observed it failing to maintain lanes, then making an illegal left turn. The officer attempted a traffic stop and the vehicle tried to turn around in the middle of the road, then drove up onto a curb and sidewalk, getting stuck when the front of the vehicle high centered on a wooden wall. The driver, later identified as Mychel Keeney, age 29, of Eugene, was taken into custody after he exited the truck. EPD conducted a DUII investigation and charged him for DUII and Reckless Driving and he was lodged at the Lane County Jail.
16-01953 – February 5, around 9:30 a.m., police responded to the McDonald’s restaurant at 639 Broadway regarding a menacing that had happened a short time earlier. Police received information that a male subject, who had been previously trespassed from the location had entered the business and when asked to leave, displayed a knife. Police located the suspect, David Russell Foster, age 57, of Eugene, in the area of E. Broadway and Ferry St. and contacted him regarding the incident. Following contact with Foster, police found information to arrest him for Menacing, Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree, Possession of Methamphetamine, Felon in Possession of a Restricted Weapon, Carry Concealed Weapon, Delivery of Meth and a warrant for arrest. He was transported to the Lane County Jail on the charges.
16-01863 – February 4, at approximately 12:43 a.m., police responded to a dispute at the Cowfish Bar, 62 W. Broadway. Police contacted an employee at the location and received information that a male subject attempted to reenter the establishment multiple times following an altercation, and struck a female employee in the head. Around 10:02 p.m., police located the suspect, Timothy James Gallegos, age 33, of Denver, at a hotel on the 3300 block of Gateway in Springfield. Gallegos was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Assault.
16-01784 – February 2, at approximately 6:02 p.m., police responded to the Starbucks restaurant at 495 W. 7th Avenue, regarding a disorderly subject. Police received information that the suspect, later identified as Frank Gordon Duarte, age 38, of Eugene, was told to leave the coffee shop after he flipped the female victim’s book off the table. He then grabbed the victim’s arm before walking outside, and becoming verbally aggressive, yelling profanities. He again entered the store and again grabbed the person’s arm. Employees were eventually able to get Duarte to leave, and he was contacted by police and arrested for Harassment, Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree and a warrant. Police also received information that Duarte had entered the Five Guys restaurant at the same business complex and was told multiple times to leave after crashing into several tables, and knocking a few over. He was transported to the Lane County Jail on the charges.
16-01740 – February 2, at approximately 2:38 a.m., police responded to the 300 block of Bethel Drive for a vehicle that crashed into a pole. When police arrived, they contacted the driver of the vehicle, Eryk Israel Rosas, age 23, of Eugene, and arrested him for Reckless Endangering, DUII, and Reckless Driving. He was transported to the Lane County jail.
