[ARCHIVED] eBuild Team Recieves Mayor's Employee Recognition Award

eBuild Team recieves Mayor's award at State of the City event

On January 6, 2016, Mayor Kitty Piercy recognized eBuild and the team of City employees who designed, built, and implemented the program at her annual State of the City Address. The award was presented to Debbie Wells and Joel Osburn from the Planning and Development Department as well as Dave Tiktin, Kim McCrea, and Kevin Prociw from the Central Services Department.

During the award presentation, Mayor Piercy noted that in alignment with the City’s burgeoning tech sector, the City of Eugene developed and launched eBuild, an online building plan review and permitting program. She applauded the team for creating a system that saves customers time and money and increases efficiency for local businesses and contractors. She added that the use of the online technology aligns with Eugene’s on-going efforts to support local businesses by providing easy, streamlined access to City services. Providing quicker and easier access to building services also promotes the safety, livability, and economic vitality of the community.
