January 26, at approximately 12:28 a.m. a police officer observed two male subjects in a physical dispute in the area of E. 7th Ave. and Olive St, and observed William Joseph Gittins, age 29, of Eugene, hit the other male subject in the head as the subject was walking away. Police contacted Gittins and arrested him for Disorderly Conduct and transported him to the Lane County Jail.
January 21, at approximately 2:10 p.m., a police officer attempted to stop the driver of a Mustang after he observed it making multiple traffic violations. The vehicle sped away at a high rate of speed and officers received information that it had pulled into an apartment complex in the area of Willow Creek near Pitchford, and the driver ran from the vehicle. The officer located and contacted the suspect Dillon Eugene Privitt, age 20, of Cottage Grove, in a field near the complex, and he was arrested for a warrant, Driving While Suspended, Fail to Obey Traffic Control Devices, Driving in a Bike Lane, Elude by Vehicle and Reckless Driving. January 21, at approximately 12:48 a.m., police responded to information regarding a car on the railroad tracks at 5th Avenue and Pearl St. When officers arrived, they located a white Dodge Stratus and contacted the driver of the vehicle, Lindsey Nicole Butera, age 27, of Eugene. She was cited in lieu of custody for DUII. 16-01045
January 20, at approximately 12:52 a.m., police responded to the 600 block of Harold St. regarding a disorderly subject. When police arrived, they received information that following a brief verbal exchange between two male subjects known to each other, the suspect, Terry Wayne Crutcher, age 48, of Eugene, followed the 45-year-old male victim to his house and beat on his door, causing damage to the door, while threatening to harm the victim. Police located Crutcher at a nearby residence, and contacted him regarding the incident. He was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree. Case number 16-00996
At 8:27 a.m. on January 16, officers responded to calls of a vehicle break-in that was happening in the 200 block of Trailside Loop. The owner of the vehicle called police after seeing someone inside it. The male suspect left in a red Toyota Tercel. Dispatch aired the description to police, who searched the area while going to the call. One officer spotted the vehicle and followed it until it pulled into an apartment complex in the 1600 block of Oakpatch. Officers conducted a felony stop on the vehicle and the suspects were compliant. The suspects were arrested and Thomas Albert Hagle, age 29, of Eugene, was arrested for Unlawful Entry Motor Vehicle, Theft in the Third Degree, Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree, and Possession of Burglary Tools. On January 10, at approximately 11:28 p.m., police located a stolen vehicle and contacted the driver of the vehicle after it came to a stop on Ferry St. near Broadway. During contact with the driver, the vehicle drove off and continued at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was located a short time later, unoccupied on the 800 block of E. 19th Ave. Subsequently, the officer received information that Springfield Police had contacted the suspect in the area of Franklin Blvd. near Glenwood. The officer responded to the location and contacted the suspect, Zachary Neal Bolling, age 29, of Eugene, and arrested him for a warrant, Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and Elude by Vehicle. January 8, at approximately 8:20 p.m., police responded to the Valley River Center regarding an armed subject who had menaced an employee at the location. When police arrived, they contacted the involved subjects and received information that the suspect, Michael Thomas Kramer, age 26, of Eugene, turned in the direction of the 33-year-old victim, and displayed a knife. Police contacted Kramer, who was still in the area of the incident when they arrived, and arrested him for Menacing. He was transported to the Lane County Jail. Case number 16-00381
January 8, at approximately 2:08 a.m., our officer was traveling eastbound on 7th Avenue, approaching High Street, and observed a silver Subaru in front of his patrol car swerve into the next lane causing another motorist to swerve out of the way. The vehicle was also observed traveling at a high rate of speed before we stopped it and contacted the driver, Aaron Rollin Sinclair, age 25, of Eugene. Sinclair was arrested for DUII and transported to the Lane County Jail. He was also cited for Violation of Speed Limit and Failure to Drive in a Single Lane. Case number 16-00329
January 7, at approximately 11:20 a.m., we responded to an apartment on the 1000 block of W. 4th Avenue for a subject who refused to leave the office. When we arrived, our officer contacted Sam Ethan Simone, age 25, of Eugene, and arrested him for Trespass in the Second Degree. Simone received an additional charge of Resisting Arrest for physically resisting the officers attempt to arrest him. He was eventually transported to the Lane County Jail on the charges. January 2, at approximately 6:34 p.m., we responded to the 1400 block of East Briarcliff Lane regarding an unknown person inside the residence. When we arrived, our officer observed a male subject in front of the residence, and contacted Sam Ethan Simone, age 25, of Eugene. We found that Simone unlawfully entered the residence and he was arrested for Criminal Trespass in the First Degree, and transported to the Lane County Jail. Case number 16-00090
