The City of Eugene website has gotten an update! The improved site launched today, Monday, January 11. With more than 1.3 million visits a year, the City’s website is one of the most important ways the City communicates and interacts with the community. We are excited that this updated website will provide improved access and usability to all our users.
Key updates to the site include:
- A new platform that uses what is called responsive design, which means the site automatically sizes itself to fit the screen you are using – whether it is a full computer screen, a tablet, or a smartphone. The site will work and look much better on phones, tablets, and other devices.
- A new modern design that is clean, visual, and easier to navigate.
- Increased accessibility for users.
While the look of the website has changed to make it easier to navigate and more functional on mobile devices, the navigation has remained the same. If you are looking for a specific page, the path to that page should be the same as it was on the old site. The new system is designed to work with the previous addresses, but some bookmarks may need to be updated.
