December 29, at approximately 2:25 a.m., police responded to the area of E. 5th Avenue and High St. regarding a vehicle stalled on the railroad tracks. When police arrived, they observed a maroon sedan on the tracks and a female subject standing on the sidewalk. The police officer contacted the subject, Lauren Dawn Sears, age 30, of Eugene, and cited her in lieu of custody for DUII. Case Number 15-21855
December 27, at approximately 7:24 p.m., police stopped a pickup truck after observing the truck brake and skid through the stop on Lawrence at 13th Avenue, and nearly missed striking the vehicle in front of the police officer. The officer contacted the driver, Christopher Loren Baker, age 30, of Eugene, and attempted to arrest him for DUII. Baker failed to follow direction from the officer and resisted the officer’s attempt to place him in custody. He was eventually arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for DUII, Resisting Arrest, Reckless Driving, and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Case number 15-21812
December 27, at approximately 2:57 a.m., police responded to a burglary on the 1400 block of High Street. When police arrived, they attempted to contact two subjects leaving the apartment. The subjects fled on foot, and police were able to locate one of the subjects, Hassein Mahdi Rajabzadeh, age 21, of Eugene, a short distance from the location, and the other subject, Anthony Sanchez Horngross, age 21, of Eugene, was located at his residence. Both were and transported to the Lane County Jail for Burglary in the First Degree, Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree, and Interfering with a Peace Officer. Rabjabzadeh received an additional charge for Possession of Burglary Tools. During the investigation, police found that a window at the residence had been broken while the victims were at the location. Case number 15-21775
December 22, at approximately 3:06 a.m., police responded to the 1200 block of Olive Street regarding a hit and run that involved a possible DUII driver. Police received information that a white Chevy Silverado pickup had drove into the back of another car and then proceeded to drive away. Police were able to locate a white Chevy Silverado pickup, which matched the description of the involved vehicle, on 6th Alley at Blair Blvd. The officer stopped the vehicle and contacted the driver, Delfino Claramartinez, age 40, of Eugene, regarding the incident. He was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Reckless Endangering, DUII, Reckless Driving, and Driving While Suspended. Case Number 15-21534
December 22, at approximately 12:23 p.m., police responded to a residence on the 2000 block of Chambers St. regarding a subject involved in an Unauthorized Use of Vehicle incident. Police arrived at the residence and contacted Jonathan Charles Leonard, age 29, regarding the charges. Police attempted to arrest Leonard for the charges, and he subsequently pulled away and refused to follow direction from the officers. He was eventually arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle and Resisting Arrest.
15-21488 – On December 20, at approximately 9:15 p.m., police responded to the Macy’s at Valley River Center regarding a robbery that happened on December 18, a short time before 7 p.m. At that time, the suspect was observed by an employee exiting the store with clothing items without having attempted to pay for the items. The employee approached the suspect, later identified as William Eugene Eli, age 48, who subsequently threatened the employee not to intervene. 15-21531 – On December 21, at approximately 11:41 p.m., police responded to the 3300 block of Riverplace Drive, regarding information of a disorderly subject, and located Eli, who was in the area. Police contacted Eli regarding the Robbery at VRC and arrested him for Robbery in the Second Degree. During the arrest, Eli received an additional charge of Possession of Methamphetamine. He was transported to the Lane County Jail.
On December 20, around 10 p.m., police responded to multiple calls regarding a disorderly trespasser on Silver Lane near River Rd. When police arrived, they located the suspect, Roman Johannes Hoekstra, age 19, of Eugene, at the Carl’s Jr. restaurant, and contacted him regarding the information. During contact with Hoekstra, he fled through the Carl’s Jr. parking lot, and continued to disregard direction from the officer as he ran. Hoekstra was eventually located at an apartment complex on the 100 block of Silver Lane and arrested him for Interfering with a Peace Officer and three warrants. He was transported to the Lane County Jail. Case number 15-21452
On December 20, at approximately 2:22 a.m., police responded to a fight at the Cowfish Bar on W. Broadway. Police received information that one of the subject’s, Robert Daniel Avery, age 29, of Eugene, had to be physically removed from the bar by employees after behaving belligerently and yelling at an employee. While outside, Avery and another subject, Jason Patrick Henschel, age 33, of Eugene, engaged in a physical fight. Police contacted both subjects and arrested them for Disorderly Conduct. Avery received additional charges of Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree and Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree. Both were transported to the Lane County Jail. Avery received additional charges of Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree and Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, and continued to be disruptive and uncooperative with officers during the arrest. On December 18, at around 9:45 p.m., police observed a subject on bicycle without proper lighting, and contacted the subject, Korie Joseph Enzweiler, age 34, of Eugene, on Waite St. near Marshall Avenue. During contact with Enzweiler, police received information that he had a warrant for arrest. It was also found that he had a knife on his person. The officer attempted to arrest Enzweiler on the warrant, and he fled. He was eventually located in the backyard of a residence on the 1200 block of Chase St., and resisted arrest. Enzweiler was eventually taken into custody after a taser was deployed and he was arrested for Escape in the Third Degree, Interfering with a Peace Officer – Disorderly Conduct, Felon in Possession of Restricted Weapon and the warrant. He was transported to the Lane County Jail. Case number 15-21410
On December 15 at 11:09 p.m. and officer was called to Doc`s Pad at 710 Willamette Street regarding harassment. The suspect, later identified as Thomas Gilchrist Horner, age 53 (no address), was being restrained by bystanders. Horner was reported to have been dumping condiments onto the table and he was asked to leave. He walked out the front door and then tried to go into the outdoor seating area. An employee grabbed Horner by the shoulder and turned him toward the exit. Horner went to the sidewalk and then picked up a wooden stick from nearby, walked toward the employee while holding the stick. The employee told him to put it down, but Horner took a swing at the employee, who was able to mostly get out of the way, but did get grazed by it. The employee then grabbed Horner and with the assistance of bystanders held him on the ground until police arrived. He was arrested without further incident for Harassment and Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree, as well as a Theft 3 Failure to Appear warrant and a Theft 3 of Services Failure to Appear warrant. December 12, at approximately 4:59 p.m., police received information of people entering a vacant home in the area of Washington St. and W. Broadway Ally. Police responded to the residence and arrested Tonya Marie Walton, age 41, of Eugene, for Possession of Heroin and Criminal Trespass in the First Degree, and arrested Garen Danile Theis, age 47, for Criminal Trespass in the First Degree and a warrant. Both subjects were transported to the Lane County Jail.
At 1:50 a.m. today, December 11, a man later identified as Andrew Tyler White, age 28, of Junction City, was asked to leave the Webfoot Bar and Grill, 839 E. 13th Avenue, after he was found urinating in a trash can in the lounge. He walked out the back of the establishment, then tried to come back in the front entrance. The bouncers held him out, preventing his re-entry. White is reported to have hit them in the arms, so they pushed White and he fell to the ground, but got back up punching. He landed a punch to one of the bouncer’s shoulders. The bouncers held him down and then finally let him go right before the police arrived. He was arrested without incident for Disorderly Conduct and Harassment.
December 9, at approximately 11:19 p.m., our officers were traveling north on Hwy. 99, and observed another vehicle traveling in the same direction near the 300 block, drift into the bicycle lane and hit the curb. Our officer contacted the driver of the vehicle, Michael Matthew Conway, age 46, of Florida, and arrested him for DUII and Reckless Driving. He was transported to the Lane County Jail. Case 15-20917
December 8, at approximately 1:02 p.m., police responded to 185 E. 18th Avenue, regarding a shoplifter. When police arrived, they received information that the suspect, Robert Lewis Ballard, age 24, of Eugene, had been observed concealing items on his person and was asked for identification after attempting to pay for the items with a credit card. Ballard then left the store with the concealed items and ran, after employees attempted to contact him. He was apprehended by the employees a short distance later, and detained until police arrived and contacted him about the incident. He was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Robbery in the Third Degree, Identity Theft, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine and warrants.
An officer was conducting a patrol check in the 2300 block of W. Irwin Way on December 5 at about10:10 p.m. He saw some people enter a 2007 Dodge Nitro SUV and it backed out of a parking spot and started to drive out without headlights. The officer performed a traffic stop and while he was waiting for the driver to provide his driver’s license, registration and insurance, the driver looked up from the console and quickly took off while the officer was still standing by the driver door. The driver went around the patrol vehicle and accelerated onto W. Irwin Way, going southbound. A sergeant spotted the vehicle westbound on Beltline from Roosevelt Blvd and followed it. The vehicle then headed west on W. 11th Avenue. The sergeant attempted to stop the vehicle, but it failed to stop and continued westbound on W. 11th Avenue in the eastbound lanes. The vehicle nearly crashed into two oncoming motorists while speeding away. Officers conducted an area check, and a short time later the sergeant spotted the vehicle again, crashed into a tree near the 27000 block of Royal. It was unoccupied. A bystanders told the sergeant three males fled on foot westbound from the vehicle. Officers responded, along with two K-9 units and saturated the area. One of the K-9s located a male hiding in a field. The male was later identified as a 16-year-old from Springfield. He was taken into custody without incident. Admonishments were made over a PA microphone from a patrol car that a Police K9 was searching the area. Two more suspects came walking out of the field with their hands in the air. The two males were also taken into custody without incident. They were identified as Robert Kirk Lowen-Birtsch, age 21, of Eugene, and George Anthony Alcantarflores, age 19, of Junction City. Alcantarflores, was lodged on two counts of Elude, Elude by Foot, Reckless Driving, two counts of Reckless Endangering, Hit and Run and Criminal Trespass 2. Lowen-Birtsch was lodged on the listed warrant and Criminal Trespass 2. The juvenile was lodged at Serbu for Criminal Trespass 2. Case 1520693
15-20648 – December 4, at approximately 10:36 p.m., police responded to the area of 13th Avenue and High Street for a dispute involving a gun. When officers arrived, they contacted the involved subjects and received information that during a verbal dispute, the suspect Colton Richard Lee Goodeve, , age 21, of Junction City, pulled out a gun, which police later found to be a replica handgun. Police contacted Goodeve leaving the parking lot of the Circle K in his vehicle and arrested him for DUII and Menacing. He was transported to the Lane County Jail.
15-20680 – On December 5, at approximately 2:36 p.m., police responded to W. 11th Avenue and Seneca regarding a disorderly passenger on an LTD bus. When police arrived, they received information that the suspect, Joshua Todd Sullivan, age 50, who had previously been trespassed, punched the driver of the bus, and punched a window on the bus, causing it to break. Police contacted Sullivan on the corner of W. 7th Ave. and Seneca, and he was uncooperative with the officer, and did not follow direction from the officer. He was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Interfering With a Police Officer, Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree, Harassment and Disorderly Conduct.
December 2, at approximately 5:35 p.m., police responded to the Winco on Barger Drive regarding a female shoplifter who was uncooperative with employees, disruptive, and would not provide identifying information. When officers arrived, they received information that the suspect Roselyn Trottier, age 26, of Eugene, had been observed drinking from an open container in the store and concealing items on her person. Trottier was then observed exiting the front doors without attempting to pay for the items, and bit the employee while he was attempting to detain her. Police contacted Trottier and found that she was in possession of methamphetamine and warrants for arrest. Trottier was transported to the Lane County Jail for Robbery in the Third Degree, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Fugitive From Justice.
December 2, at approximately 3:03 p.m., police responded to a dispute on the 1100 block of Coburg Road. When police arrived at the location, they attempted to contact the involved male subject, Levi McKinley Marlow, age 28, of Eugene, who disregarded the officer’s direction and ran from the location. The officer followed Marlow, and he continued to disregard the officer’s direction to stop. Police eventually apprehended Marlow with the assistance of a Springfield K-9 officer and dog. During the arrest, police found Marlow in possession of a metal weapon concealed on his person. Marlow was transported to the Lane County Jail for Carry Concealed Weapon, Interfering with a Peace Officer, and warrants for arrest.
