What: Veterans Day Roll Call
When: November 11, 2015, 8 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
Where: Central Courtyard of the Eugene Federal Building, 211 E. 7th Avenue.
On November 11, Veterans Day, participants from the City of Eugene, Mayor, and Eugene Police will read the names of the 6,851 service members killed in action, following 9/11. This is an event that takes place in cities nation-wide and is meant to honor military personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice.
The Annual Veteran’s Day Roll Call will start at 8 a.m. Wednesday, and each participant will read 240 names. The event will conclude at approximately 3:15 p.m. when the entire list of 6,851 names, including the person’s rank and service branch, have been read.
