September 29, at approximately 11:12 p.m., police responded to the 100 block of E. 32nd Avenue, and received information that a vehicle drove through the backyard of a residence and into a garage at the location. Police contacted the suspected driver at the location, Kelly Shannon Louise Riggs, age 49, of Springfield, and arrested her for DUII and Reckless Driving. She was transported to the Lane County Jail. September 29, at approximately 8:14 a.m., police responded to the Lane County Fairgrounds regarding an unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle at O’Hara Catholic School. When police arrived to the location, they received information that a person matching the description of the suspect was behind a retaining wall, west of the main event building at the Lane County Fairgrounds. Police contacted the suspect, Mathew Nicholas Spence, age 36, of Eugene, and arrested him for Unauthorized Entry into a Motor Vehicle, Theft in the Second Degree, and Possession of Methamphetamine, which was found on the suspect at the time of arrest. He was transported to the Lane County Jail. Case Number 15-16645
September 26, at approximately 3:26 p.m., police responded to the area of 18th Avenue and Willamette St. regarding a robbery. Police received information that the suspect, Carl James Brandon, age 19, of Eugene, approached a juvenile victim with a knife and demanded his bike. Brandon attempted to ride away with the victim’s bike, but the victim caught up to Brandon and was able to get him off the bike and retrieve his bike from Brandon. Brandon fled west on 18th Ave, and the victim called police. Police located Brandon downtown on West Park St. and contacted him regarding the robbery. Brandon was arrested for Robbery in the First Degree and transported to the Lane County Jail. Police also received information of a 15-year-old juvenile accomplice who was with Brandon. The juvenile was arrested for Robbery in the First Degree and transported to Serbu.
On 09/25/15 at 1:24 a.m., police were called to 951 W. 6th for a report of a disorderly subject, later identified as Ryan Nicholas Garner, age 19, of no address. He had a large stick and was waving it at construction workers while yelling and approaching them closely. An officer checked the area and found Garner sitting on a wooden bench near the intersection of W. 5th and Blair. Garner still had his large stick and was repeatedly taking off and on his shirt. Garner noticed the officer and began to charge toward him. The officer called for backup, while Garner began to remove his clothing. Garner was screaming at the officer and posturing to fight. The officer provided verbal commands and Garner didn’t comply. Another officer arrived and contacted him. He became compliant and was taken into custody. He was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree. Case number 15-16357
On September 23, around 2:20 p.m., police responded to the 200 block of Division Avenue regarding a dispute and received information that two subjects assaulted a 41-year-old male victim, and the victim was subsequently transported to the hospital by medics. When police arrived, they contacted the suspects and people in the area and received information that the suspects Brandon Kasey Conley, age 24, of Eugene, and Derek James Tiffee, age 49, of Eugene, repeatedly punched and kicked the victim, and that Conley also struck his dog multiple times with a leash. Both suspects were arrested for Assault in the Third Degree and transported to the Lane County Jail. Conley was also charged with Animal Abuse in the Third Degree.
On September 22, at approximately 3:34 p.m., police responded to the 400 block of Blair Blvd. for an assault. When the police officer arrived, he received information that the suspect, Kyle J Hoskins, age 30, of Springfield, assaulted multiple victims in the area. Police received information that Hoskins was on the property of one of the victims, and after being told to leave, assaulted the 65-year old male victim, and when a nearby resident attempted to help the victim, Hoskins punched the 27-year-old male victim in the face. Police also received information that Hoskins was observed attempting to enter the vehicle of a female victim near the New Day Bakery. Police located Hoskins and contacted him in the area of W. 1st Avenue and Madison Street. He was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Unlawful Entry of a Motor Vehicle, Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree, Assault, and a warrant.
September 19, at approximately 6:35 p.m., police contacted the driver of a vehicle near the intersection of Hwy. 99 and Roosevelt Boulevard, after observing the vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in a residential area. The vehicle was also observed traveling east in the westbound lane of travel. The suspect Javier Manuel Ceron, age 24, was arrested for DUII, Reckless Driving, and a Warrant for Arrest. Ceron was transported to the Lane County Jail.
September 19, at approximately 9:10 p.m., police responded to the 7-Eleven on W. 6th Avenue regarding a disorderly subject, and contacted a person who matched the description of the suspect, Andrew Villegas, age 36, on Van Buren St. Police received information that Villegas had behaved aggressively toward people entering the store, and he was told by an employee that he needed to leave the location, and refused to leave. Police received information that Villegas subsequently banged on the windows, broke items in the store and threatened an employee at the location. During contact with Villegas, police found that he had a warrant from another state. He was arrested for Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree – Vandalism, Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree, Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree and Fugitive From Justice.
September 17, at approximately 10:44 a.m., police responded to the 1300 block of Ferry Street regarding information an unknown male subject was found sleeping inside the residence of the female victim. Police arrived at the residence and arrested the suspect, Justin Daniel Rosauer, age 34, of Eugene, for Trespassing in the First Degree.
September 17, at approximately 7:47 p.m., patrol officers on bike contacted a male subject regarding the use of a prohibited substance in the park. The suspect, Jesse Michael Killgallon, age 48, of Eugene, attempted to run, but was apprehended and it was found that he had a warrant for arrest. Killgallon was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Interfering With Police, Violation of Park Rules, and the Warrant.
September 12, at approximately 2:50 a.m., police contacted a female subject in the E. Broadway and Willamette St. area regarding Prohibited Camping, after having returned to nearly the same area following a previous contact from the officer. During contact with the suspect, Lilian Marisol Prindle, age 18, voiced obscenities at the officer and continued to attempt to walk away from the officer after being told to stop. She was arrested for Interfering With a Police Officer, and she attempted to physically resist arrest. Prindle was also charged with Resisting Arrest – Disorderly Conduct, and received a citation for Prohibited Camping.
On Sept. 11, around 10 p.m., police contacted the driver of a Jeep Commander near River Rd. and Hunsaker Lane, after hearing gunshots in the area. It was found that the suspect, Scott Paul Cureton, age 31, was in possession of a handgun and he was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and transported to the Lane County Jail without incident.
September 9, police responded to the area of W. Broadway and Olive St. regarding a dispute. When police arrived, they contacted a female subject and received information that the subject hit the 44-year-old male victim in the head with a rock. Police observed a bump on the facial area of the victim, and arrested the suspect, Kori Ann Vert, age 51, and transported her to the Lane County Jail for Assault in the Second Degree.
September 4, at approximately 12:13 p.m., police responded to investigate a fire on the 1200 block of W. 5th Avenue. Police contacted a female subject, who was transported to the hospital after she was found at the home when fire personnel arrived, and received information that the female has lived at the home with the owners of the home for more than a year. Police received further information that while the residents were away, the suspect, Janette Marie Miranda, age 32, of Eugene, was the only person in the home at the time of the incident and that information found at the scene suggests that the fire was started intentionally. Miranda was arrested for Arson in the First Degree and transported to the Lane County Jail.
September 2, at approximately 1:20 p.m., police responded to a robbery in the area of 15th Avenue and Willamette St, and received information that the suspect, Martin Lee Nelms, age 36, of Eugene, threatened the 29-year-old male victim with a handgun for money after riding in the passenger seat of the victim’s car. The suspect left the area, and was found a short time later by an officer on bike, in the area of Oak Alley and E. 11th Ave. The officer contacted the suspect and information was found on the suspect to arrest him for Robbery in the Second Degree. Nelms was transported to the Lane County Jail on the charges. Case 1514941
