Howard Richard Stull was arrested last night for the murder of the victim, Kathy Kay Braun, age 59.
Stull was arrested at Riverbend Hospital, where he was seeking treatment for an injury. Violent Crime Unit detectives and the Forensics Evidence Unit (crime lab) continue to process the scene after police obtained a search warrant for the residence, located at 1435 Berntzen in Eugene.

Eugene Police Violent Crime detectives arrested Stull in a suspicious death on the 1400 block of Berntzen in Eugene, Oregon. The victim's name is being withheld pending the notification of extended family. The investigation continues and detectives are processing the scene at this time.
Stull was lodged on Homicide and additional warrants. There is no further risk to the public.

Police Investigate Suspicious Death
At 4:04 p.m. 9-1-1 received a call for medical assistance in the 1400 block of Berntzen. When personnel arrived they determined the person involved is deceased and the death has been determined to be suspicious.
Currently, Eugene Police Violent Crimes Unit is on scene, working on search warrants so the scene can be processed. Detectives are also working on developing leads. If anyone has info they are asked to call 541.682.5111.
