Previous Information from May 27, 2015:
At 12:58 this afternoon, May 27, a Eugene Public Works crew were performing routine maintenance at the Fillmore Pump Station, 1405 Briarcliff Lane, when they discovered a deceased person at the bottom of a large underground ‘wet well,’ for wastewater. They called 9-1-1 and at this time personnel from multiple agencies are working to recover the body. Its location at the bottom of the shaft makes the recovery effort hazardous and will require some time to complete, so no new information is expected tonight.
Responding agencies include Public Works, Eugene Police Patrol, Eugene Police Violent Crimes Unit, Eugene Police Forensic Evidence Unit, Eugene Springfield Fire and EMS, and the Medical Examiner.
