May 1, at approximately 5:35 p.m., police responded to the area of W. 1st Avenue and Jefferson, regarding a fight in progress. Police received information that the involved subject was throwing bricks at people. When police arrived, they observed the suspect, Donnie James Robinson, age 38, of Eugene, with a brick in each hand, standing on one side of a parked car, and the victim, a 44-year-old black male, standing on the other side of the car. When the officer arrived and exited the patrol vehicle, the suspect dropped the bricks and followed direction from the officer. Robinson had been asked to leave the Neighborhood Market at 610 W. 1st Avenue because he was not wearing a shirt. When told to leave, the suspect started yelling at customers inside the store, and refused to leave despite repeatedly being told to do so. The suspect then made repeated verbal slurs at the victim, and hit him with a chunk of brick that was thrown at him. Police observed injuries that were consistent with the report and arrested Robinson for Assault in the Second Degree, Intimidation in the Second Degree, Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree, and Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree.
On April 19, at approximately 1:46 a.m., police responded to a report of an assault that had occurred earlier in the Winco parking lot near Taco Bell, off Barger Drive. The victim, a 31-year-old male was acquainted with the suspect, Christopher Robin Morales, age 28, and the two met with each other at the location. Police received information that the suspect got into the backseat of the victim’s vehicle, and when the victim turned around, the suspect sprayed him the face with a spray commonly designed for defense, and hit the victim in the head repeatedly with an unknown object. The officer observed wounds on the victim’s face that were consistent with the described injuries. Police developed probable cause to arrest the suspect for assault but were unable to locate Morales at that time. May 3, Springfield Police located the suspect and contacted Eugene Police. Morales was arrested for Assault in the Second Degree and Unlawful Possession of Heroin, which was found on his person at the time of arrest.
May 3 at approximately 3:19 p.m., police responded to the area of West 13th and Interior Street for the report of a stabbing. Police received information that the suspect, Kasandra Louise Riley, age 44, of Eugene, fled westbound from the location after stabbing a 48-year-old female in the face. The two subjects were in a physical dispute and the victim was subsequently stabbed by the suspect. Police located the suspect, a short time later and arrested her for Assault in the Second Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. During the altercation, the suspect incurred an injury to her arm that she received treatment for at the hospital before being transported to the jail. A knife was located at the scene where the incident occurred.
May 3, approximately 12:53 a.m., police responded to the 3300 block of Kinsrow Ave. regarding a physical dispute between roommates. The suspect, Jose Trinidad Ortizrobles, age 19, struck the 36-year-old male victim in the face repeatedly causing injuries to the victim. Police also received information that the victim went back inside the residence and came back a short time later and continued to aggress the victim. Ortizrobles was arrested a short time later for DUII and Assault.
