Thank you for your patience and flexibility during the past few weeks, while Eugene Public Library has been updating the machinery and software that checks borrowed items in and out. During this time, Downtown Library visitors have additionally been affected by Lane Transit District road work.
We're glad to report that all Library services are now back to normal.
Specifically:
- The Downtown Library's underground parking garage is open. (However, travel and street parking nearby will continue to be affected by road work for a few weeks).
- You can now return items to outside return slots at all locations according to usual schedules.
- You can place Hold Requests for items in the catalog.
- The due date that is shown for each item on check-out and online account screens is correct. Due dates for each item were displayed correctly throughout the System Update process. (Items that were checked out or renewed between Feb. 4 and March 23 were loaned for an extra-long period. Starting March 24, items checked out or renewed are on loan for the usual 21 days.)
