[ARCHIVED] Stolen Vehicle

Yesterday at approximately 12:46 p.m., police received information about a vehicle that was stolen in the area of Seneca Road and Bailey Hill Road. Officers located the vehicle, 2007 Hyudai Sedan, a short time later, travelling eastbound on W. 11th from Sam Reynolds. The vehicle then turned north on Obie Street, which is a dead-end road. The suspect, Robert Eric Ruddy, age 42, of Sutherlin, then left the vehicle and fled on foot and was pursued by officers and eventually apprehended near 5th Avenue and Bailey Hill Road. Ruddy was arrested and charged with Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle, Elude by Vehicle, Elude by Foot, and Carrying a Concealed Weapon (knife). Ruddy also had warrants for prior drug offense from Douglas County and Winston Oregon.
