The City of Eugene has proposed three changes to local demolition regulations to help ensure community health, safety, and livability. The new rules include:
• Required notice to properties adjacent to a demolition site;
• Prohibition of exterior demolition when winds exceed 25 mph; and
• Prohibition of implosion without a special permit to address health, safety and livability.
The draft rules will go out for a 15-day public comment period beginning March 9th and ending on March 23rd The full text of the proposed changes (Administrative Order 53-15-01) is available online (see link below).
