[ARCHIVED] February 24, Robbery at GJ's Smoke Shop

Tuesday afternoon, Eugene Police arrested Travis Gregory Brumwell, 21, of Oakridge, following a 911 call from an employee at GJ’s Smoke Shop on 4726 Royal Avenue. At approximately 2:21 p.m. The employee called 911 and reported being robbed at knife-point by a young, white male wearing a mask. Numerous police officers and a police K9 unit responded to the call and after searching for more than an hour, located Brumwell, hiding in a nearby apartment complex, and took him into custody without incident. Subsequent investigation resulted in Brumwell being identified as the suspect in a prior similar robbery (15-00120), also at GJ’s Smoke Shop, which occurred Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 12:48 p.m. Brumwell was lodged at the Lane County Jail on two counts of Robbery in the First Degree.
