The first artistic elements commissioned for EPD’s new headquarters will be installed beginning Thursday, July 12. The artwork honors the service of EPD while creating a dignified sanctuary for people who need the services of the department. It is funded through the City’s requirement of 1% allocation to art for public construction projects.
A committee consisting of; EPD sworn staff, a patrol officer, and volunteer along with the project architect, facilities project manager, staff from the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art and the City’s Public Art Committee oversaw the development and selection of the project.
