[ARCHIVED] City Council Explores Library Levy

On Wednesday, January 14, at the request of the City Council, Eugene Public Library Director Connie Bennett presented information about options and estimated costs for Library services to meet the community's needs into the future.

After discussion, the councilors voted unanimously to ask Bennett and other City staff to prepare additional information about two possible versions of a local option levy for further Council consideration. The additional information will be presented to councilors this spring (date not yet scheduled).
