[ARCHIVED] Update to incident in area of Tyler and 7th

UPDATE: The initial reports received by police were alarming and the response considered high-risk due to the presence of a baby and possible weapons. Police resources were sent to the area, including Crisis Negotiation Team and SWAT. The team's efforts focused on slowing any situation down, carefully attempting to contacting the involved man, and gathering any other available information. Police were able to confirm through observing the man and the baby, and through speaking with other parties who had firsthand knowledge about the situation, that the baby was not in harm's way and that no crime had been committed. The call has been resolved.EPD's investigation has concluded. DHS responded today to conduct their own investigation.
