[ARCHIVED] City Offices Close for Thanksgiving Holiday

All City of Eugene administrative offices will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, November 27, and Friday, November 28.

City community centers and swimming pools will also be closed to the public both days. The Hult Center Ticket Office and all City libraries, including the book returns, will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but will be open on Friday, November 28. Hult Center ticket purchases, many Library services, and registration for Recreation programs are available online 24/7.

Police, fire, medical and other emergency services will be provided as usual on November 27 and 28. The main police station on Country Club Rd. is open 365 day a year, although the West University Station is closed Wednesday, November 26 through Monday, December 1. Downtown Public Safety Station will be closed Thursday and Friday for the holiday. Around-the-clock health and safety services such as regional wastewater treatment will continue without interruption. Parking is free for street meters, surface lots, and city-owned garages on November 27 except for event parking. On November 28, on-street time limits and street meters will be in effect, however, parking is free in all downtown parking garages.

The Eugene Airport, which is operated by the City of Eugene, will be open for business as usual on Thursday and Friday, although Airport administration offices will be closed both days. For flight schedule information, go to flyEUG.com or call: 541-682-5544.

All City offices and facilities will return to regular hours beginning Monday, December 1. Echo Hollow and Sheldon pools will be open on Saturday, Nov. 29, and will hold a special Turkey Burn water fitness class from 9:30-10:30 a.m. (Drop in.) The next City of Eugene holiday is Christmas on Tuesday, Dec. 25.
