Last night at approximately 9:37 p.m., officers responded to the 4300 block of Goodpasture Loop regarding a dispute between roommates. The female victim and partner share an apartment with the suspect, Cameron Edward Brooks, age 33. The victim reported to her partner that she was assaulted by Brooks, and when her partner arrived at the apartment, he confronted Brooks about the assault. Officers interviewed the involved subjects and Brooks was cited for Criminal Mischief. While officers were continuing their investigation outside the apartment, a female was heard yelling from the residence. The female victim, who was involved in the first incident, was stabbed by the suspect with a knife. Police located Brooks in the apartment and arrested him for Assault in the First Degree. The victim was transported by medics to the hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries from the stab wounds.
