[ARCHIVED] Citizen tip leads to arrest of one of New York’s Most Wanted Fugitives

The Eugene Police Department received a tip that Jahson Marryshow, age 31 was now residing in Eugene. EPD quickly learned Marryshow was wanted out of Ulster County, New York, and was listed as their most wanted fugitive. Marryshow was wanted in connection with a 2010 robbery of the Bank of America. He is reported to have displayed a gun in the robbery, then to have stolen a car and burned a barn during his escape. At one point Marryshow was arrested, however he was able to escape custody and had not been seen since.

Members of the Eugene Police Department’s Street Crimes Team and the US Marshal’s Service teamed up and began looking for Marryshow locally. Today at approximately 5 p.m. Marryshow was arrested while participating in an Ultimate Frisbee Tournament in the area of E. 24th Ave and Hilyard St. Marryshow made no attempt to escape. He is currently being held in the Lane County Jail as a Fugitive From Justice.
