On August 26, 2014, at approximately 9:55 a.m., the Eugene Police Department began investigating a violation of a restraining order. The suspect of the restraining order failed to return his four children to their mother. The suspect, Torata Tanaka (date of birth July 8, 1974) is believed to be taking the four children, a 10-year-old female, an 8-year-old male, a 6-year-old male and a 3-year-old female to Canada or possibly back to his native country of Japan.

The wanted suspect, Torata Tanaka, is believed to driving a 2002 Acura MDX with Oregon license plate ZEJ-686. If you have any information on the whereabouts of Torata Tanaka or the children, or if you see the described vehicle, you are asked to call 911.
