This month’s Windfall Reading Series features writers Miriam Gershow and Joe Henderson.

Miriam Gershow is the author of the novel “The Local News,” which was was hailed as "deftly heartbreaking” by The New York Times. Her stories are widely published and she has received a Fiction Fellowship from the Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing and an Oregon Literary Fellowship, as well as many writing residencies. Gershow teaches at the University of Oregon.

Joe Henderson’s latest books are a memoir trilogy: “Starting Lines,” “Going Far,” and “Home Runs.” A longtime editor and columnist at Runner’s World magazine, he has authored more than two dozen books. He taught at the University of Oregon for 30 years (12 in journalism and 18 in physical education) and still coaches a long-distance running team.

The Windfall Reading Series is presented in partnership by Eugene Public Library and Lane Literary Guild.
