Show: Shakespeare's Tales

Friday, August 2, 2019

Fools Haven acting company performs scenes and monologues.

Join Fools Haven acting company for a delightful show of Shakespearean monologues and scenes with the common theme of telling a story-within-a-story. Led by Judith Roberts, performers include Diana Aday, Don Aday, John Arredondo, Joe Cronin, Jennifer Ferro, Dawaun Lawler, AnnMarie Maurer, Ami-Nola Moore, Robert Newcomer, Tony Sterpe, Penta Swanson, and Thomas Weaver

Shakespeare’s plays are sprinkled with incidental stories and side trips. In a brief monologue or scene, a character might relate a complete incident, or a dream or prophesy. The characters’ personal mini-stories add authenticity to Shakespeare’s depiction of the human experience. A company of storytellers assembled by Fools Haven acting company will present a cavalcade of the Bard’s micro-tales, for Shakespeare-lovers and newcomers alike.

The Downtown Library stays open until 8:00 p.m. on the First Friday each month.
