. We invite community members, architects, landscape architects, designers, artists, and all creative minds to participate in this exciting collaboration.
A parklet is a sidewalk extension that provides more space and amenities for people using the street. Passersby can stop to relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the city around them. The intent is to benefit local businesses, residents and visitors by providing unique public spaces that attract customers and foster community conversation. Parklet amenities can include seats, tables, bike racks and landscaping.
Past Parklet on Willamette St. in Eugene
This August, three pop-up retail spaces will add color and commerce to Olive Street. The small shops fashioned from storage containers will feature local designers, creators and artists.
