Buy, Sell or Trade at Upcoming Eugene Rec Events

Posted on May 25, 2017 at 2:26 PM by Ben Schorzman

If you’re looking for bargain deals or in desperate need of de-cluttering your home, Eugene Rec is providing three opportunities in the coming weeks for you.

Whether you want to check the final item off your spring-cleaning to-do list by selling used possessions or you’re just a fan of cruising the garage-sale circuit, Sheldon Community Center’s For Sale by Kids event, River House Outdoor Center’s Outdoor Gear Sale and Petersen Community Center’s Bethel Community Flea Market are all fantastic ways to make sure your stuff finds new homes in your community.

For Sale by Kids
9 a.m. to noon, May 20
Sheldon Community Center

Kids 17 and under are welcome at Sheldon to sell their artwork, crafts, toys, sports equipment, clothing, costumes or any other gently used items. You’re even welcome to trade with other booths.

Reserve a table for $5 or bring your own and reserve your space for free. Call Sheldon Community Center at 541-682-5312. Parents and guardians for youth 14 and under are expected to attend and coordinate all financial transactions.

Outdoor Gear Sale
9 a.m. to noon, May 27
River House Outdoor Center

Sell, trade or buy used gear to jump start your next outdoor adventure. Gear may include anything to get folks outside: boats, camping, winter, climbing, cycling and sports. Please limit items to outdoor gear. Bring your own table if needed and any transaction needs. There’s no fee to buy or sell.

Bethel Community Flea Market
10 a.m. to 2 p.m., June 3
Petersen Barn Community Center
Bring your new, used, handmade, beautiful and interesting items to Petersen Barn Community Center to sell during the annual We Are Bethel celebration

Reserve your 10-foot by 10-foot space by May 26th for only $10. Please provide your own 10-foot by 10-foot canopy, tables and chairs as needed. For more information and to register call 541-682-5521 or go to GetRec.org.
