As an organization, we are committed to building the community's trust and confidence in the City of Eugene. As the Community Safety Initiative was created, financial accountability was written into the city code for an outside auditor to provide a written report on payroll tax revenue compliance.
According to City Code 3.766: The city manager shall contract with an outside auditor to prepare an annual written report on the use of the payroll tax revenue. The auditor shall ascertain and report on whether the tax revenue was used in compliance with the purpose and use set forth in sections 3.750 and 3.758 of this code. The city manager shall provide the report to the Council and make the report publicly available.
