The mission of the Eugene Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is to narrow the divide between our youth and local government while providing a voice for youth. The core work of the group includes:

  • Educating the general public about issues that concern Eugene’s youth
  • Participating in decisions regarding public issues, projects, and proposals that have an impact on youth
  • Working with local government officials and community organizations to create civic engagement and service opportunities for local youth
  • Creating connections among the youth of Eugene.

The YAC was formed in 2020 and consists of 20-25 high school-aged youth from Eugene. The group currently meets once a month to discuss important issues and perform council business.

The YAC is currently not accepting applications for new members. For more information on becoming a member, please use the contact information below.
