Call for Contemporary Art Projects - BRIDGE Exhibitions

Summer 2019 and beyond

BRIDGE Exhibitions, produced by the City of Eugene Cultural Services is a visual arts opportunity, which places temporary innovative contemporary artworks in public sites throughout Eugene. 

BRIDGE Exhibitions is currently seeking applications for projects that explore, express or reflect current social, personal, political or ecological issues. 

In conjunction with Eugene’s Visual Arts Week, August 2-9, the Summer 2019 exhibition will be comprised of up to three selected artworks. This exhibition will utilize public spaces in the area stretching between the Hult Center for the Performing Arts and the corner of 5th Avenue and High Street.

Seed funding amount offered is determined by selected projects scope and scale.

All selected BRIDGE artworks must be formally proposed and developed by at least one area visual arts entity and a co-sponsoring, supporting community partner or business. 

Individual artists without sponsors may also submit letters of interest. The suggestion of a matching sponsor to support and develop the artist’s proposal may be made by our curator and team.

Your first steps in applying for the Summer 2019 Exhibition are:

Interested artists and sponsoring visual arts entities choose and attend at least one site visit to learn more about this public art opportunity. RSVP Required
