Striker Field Park Development

Final designs for this large, 8-acre park site include a large playground, court games (basketball, pickleball and petanque), restrooms, picnic shelter and informal amphitheater for community gatherings. The park is currently on schedule for construction to begin summer 2021.

Project Schedule - Updated 7/2/2021

As a result of fluctuating construction markets and bid prices we are looking at options to make our projects more flexible and to attract more contractors to submit competitive bids on our projects. Our goal is to make the Striker Field Community Park budget go as far as possible. We still plan to bid the project this summer and enter into a contract with the winning bidder, so some construction may start later this year. A longer construction window is expected with a final park opening date TBD. Updates will be posted as they come in and we thank you for your patience in these unusual times.
